BROKEN?

FAITH CAPSULE: With God, to be broken is to be blessed.

Genesis 37

In life, to become broken comes before experiencing the blessing of God.
Abraham experienced broken when he answered the calling of God that sent him out of his comfort zone, his family.
Later, in the journey of Abraham, the manifestation of the blessing of God answered in his life.
Moses grew up in the palace of Pharaoh, undoubtedly one of the best palaces in time pf Moses.
The broken point for Moses in life was when he ran away from the palace Pharaoh until the blessing of God answered for him as the leader of the Israelites.
The calling of God broke Joseph before the manifestation of the blessing of God answered over his life.
When Joseph answered to the calling of God, it was without knowing the challenges and the blessing hidden in his journey of life.
At age 17, the answering of Joseph to Jacob (his father) was the route for his divine assignment. Jacob said, “…Please go and see if it is well with your brothers and well with the flocks and bring back word to me.” So, he sent him out of the Valley of Hebron, and he went to Shechem.” (Genesis 37:14)
The answering of Joseph to the calling of Jacob was not outside of God.
The book of Psalm 105:17-22 confirms the calling of Joseph as it states, “He sent a man before them Joseph who was sold as a slave.” They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. “Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him. The king sent and released him; the ruler of the people let him go free. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions, to bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.”
Joseph, at 17 years (Genesis 37:2) was broken.
Joseph experienced a painful broken relationship, not seeing his beloved father Jacob until over 30 years. (Genesis 41:46)
Joseph, the beloved of Jacob (his father), unknowingly answered calling as a priced slave the became blessed as prime minister.
Regardless of where you are today, do you know if you are answering the calling of God with pain?
Joseph became a slave; he could no longer move at his own will.
Joseph came under an authority that he could not control.
The calling of God will lead the called one into an unknown route where learning is waiting for called one to know and become obedient to God.
Jesus was broken and answered as the blessing of God to become the blessing of all.
Philippians 2:8 testifies of Jesus, “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
God blesses the broken one before Him.

Prayer for today: Ask that the strength of God shall have a place in you to answer the calling of God.

UNFAILING WAY

FAITH CAPSULE: There is the unfailing way in the direction of God.

Exodus 3

The command of God is His word, the direction to ride living life for the glory of God.
In the direction of God, there is a way where there is no way.
The direction of God delivers when there is obedience.
In the direction of God, doubt will lead to self-denial, misdirection, fear will rise, and faith will sink.
The calling of God is in His direction.
When He calls you, He shall back you up and not fail.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 buttresses, “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”
Today, disallow doubt not to interfere with the journey of life.
Give to the direction of God that does not fail.
Know that doubt will provoke disobedience to the direction of God and not arrive at the divine assignment of God.
Are you looking up to the word of God for direction?
To look for direction in the world does not lead to the promise of God.
When it was time for God to make a way out of bondage for the Israelites, He called Moses to lead with His direction saying, “…I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:10)
In the calling of God, Moses responded with doubt saying, “…Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:11)
God said to Moses, “…I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you…” (Exodus 3:12)
When God calls you, deny doubt knowing that He shall back you unfailingly.
Moses listened to God with understanding and answered to the calling of God over his life.
With faith in God for His direction, ask to confirm His calling without a doubt.
Prayerfully, Moses knows to ask in faith in Exodus 33:13 “Now, therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”
In the journey, know to ask God with faith, not in doubt.
God is not a wicked God but a good caring God.
Moses asked prayerfully, and God answered him, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14)
Always ask Him and know to be holding onto His answer that does not complicate the life journey for the obedient one.
Are you full of doubt, fear, and excuses before God?
Know God, know His promise as Matthew 7:7 records, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.”

Prayer for today: Ask God to uphold you not to be a victim of doubt.

THREE PRAYER POINTS

FAITH CAPSULE: Do not stop praying to live life for God.

Revelation 21

1. BE MINDFUL OF GOD
David asked God, “What is man that You are mindful of him…” (Psalm 8:4)
Are you mindful of God?
Why not be mindful of God?
Know to stay your mind on God as one that walks with God, to gain the blessings of God.
Isaiah 26:3 records the promise of God for the mindful towards Him, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
To live life by the word of God is mindful of God not to stumble.
PRAYER
Ask that from this hour to live a life mindful of God.
2. BE OCCUPIED BY THE PRESENCE OF GOD
Jesus, the word of God, is the Lamb of God.
Revelation 21:23 states, “The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.”
Jesus is the light of God.
God is light. 1 John 1:5 records, “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”
All should have the desire to be occupied by the glory of God.
God shall enter to occupy anyone that opens for Him.
The word of God states, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
Psalm 119:130 records, “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.”
PRAYER
Ask the light of God to gain entrance into your life to occupy you.
3. IT COUNTS TO DO RIGHT BEFORE GOD!
Walking with God is not by quoting the word in the way of living life.
Walking with God is not justified as going to church, joining a prayer group.
Walking with God is with a chance in our way and, all should make the right choice of action
that carries weight and counts before God.
God weighs actions that count. 1 Samuel 2:3 states, “…For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him, actions are weighed.”
Does your action carry weight before God?
How are you addressing the choice of chance before you?
A priest had a chance to do good but walked away.
Luke 10:31 points out, “Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.”
All have a chance and should do right before God.
PRAYER
Ask God to enable you to walk with, not walk away from Him in the chance that will mark you not to miss eternal life.
Ask that all your actions in this year shall carry weight to lift you before God.
Ask that you shall not miss a chance that will keep you to God.

PROVOKE BLESSING

FAITH CAPSULE: Keep confessing the testimony of God to provoke His blessing.

1 Samuel 17

Testifying what God has done, what He is doing, and what He will do shall provoke the blessing of God.
It is those who have to share, meditate or confess the testimony of God that keeps the testimony of God.
Psalm 119:2 points out the promise of God for those who keep the testimony of God, “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!”
King David is an example of one that keeps the testimony of God to experience the blessing of God, his victory over Goliath of the Philistines.
The testimony by David was the weapon that denied the discouragement of King Saul for him not to go against Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:33 states the discouragement of King Saul to David, “…You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”
David refused to be discouraged from going to fight Goliath.
In 1 Samuel 17: 34-37, David testified what God has done and what God can do, “But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, 35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37 Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
David could not be intimated not to fight the confronting challenge before his life.
David counted on the testimony of God over his life.
David dwelt on the testimony of God over his life.
David, by the word of his testimony, was able to overcome the challenge of Goliath.
What is it that you count on God for your deliverance by the testimony of your mouth?
Know to recollect to count the testimonies of God over your life and experience victory, the blessing of God.
With the testimony of God, give your tongue to speak life in the place of untimely death.
Proverbs 18:21 warns, “Death and life are in the power of tongue…”
David saw challenges, he testified to the power of God, and he overcame, be Keeping the testimonies of God by speaking out to challenges about what God has done and what He can do to enable you to overcome your challenges.
Keep the testimonies of God to meditate, confess, and be established for the glory of God.

Prayer for today: Ask to be keeping the testimonies of God for your deliverance and preservation, the blessing of God.

WALK INLINE

FAITH CAPSULE: Walk in line with God, to be upgraded.

2 Kings 2

The wicked world of today demands constant and consistent upgrading by seeking God.
Seeking God is pleasing to God.
Pleasing God is to be living by the word of God.
In a wicked world, Enoch upgraded himself by walking with God.
He demonstrated a life of fellowship with obedience to God. Hebrews 11:5-6 records, “By faith, Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken, he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
In this wicked world, to keep self-upgrading is living a life of fellowship with obedience to God.
Just like Enoch, Noah lived a life of self-upgrading.
For Noah, the Bible records the upgrading life of Noah: “Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So, God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.” (Genesis 6:9-12)
Elijah lived a life of upgrading by taking a stand for God against false religious leaders and kings.
Elijah did not align himself with wicked kings and leaders.
Elijah lived right before God to keep him upgraded in the wicked world. Elijah did not die but went up to heaven in a whirlwind. (2 Kings 2:11)
Walking and standing in fellowship with obedience to God in this wicked world is not impossible but possible for one with a purposed heart for God.
Elijah stood for God, “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.” (James 5:17)
Today, it is possible to be upgrading as Elijah was in his life journey.
Matthew 6:19-21 identifies what it takes to remain upgraded, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Does the word of God speak to you in this wicked world?
In the wicked world, get upgraded; be built up in the word of God. Apostle Paul identifies the need to be built up in Acts 20:32, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
It is worthy, commit self to the word of God and be upgraded with continual prayer and to the ministry of the word.

Prayer for today: Ask that you walk in line with God, pleasing Him to become upgraded.
