HEALING AND GIVING CHARACTER

FAITH CAPSULE: Among the characters of the word of God are healing and giving.

Psalms 138, 148

The word of God is God.
Psalm 148:13 records, “Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.”
Psalm 138:2 informs all, “I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”
In the name of God, the characters of His word cannot be denied when he is engaged with understanding.
AMONG HEALING IS THE CHARACTER OF THE WORD OF GOD
Matthew 8:16 records demonstration of the healing character of the word of God when Jesus had an encounter to heal, “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.”
The word of God carries the power of God to do and undo by casting out all that does not represent God in the life of whom it locates. Also, just a word of God is enough for healing, deliverance, and preservation.
Healing, the character of the word of God is evident through the pages of the Bible. Psalm 107:20 documents, “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
With understanding, know to call on God for His healing word. Isaiah 43:26 encourages all, “Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.”
God is the same yesterday and tomorrow, He does not forget but will answer when called on Him according to the promise in His word.
GIVING IS A CHARACTER OF THE WORD OF GOD
What God wants to give out is in His word to give one with an understanding to ask for manifestation of what the word of God carries.
For example, the word of God will give comfort or light to meet the expectation for one with the understanding that asks from Him.
Psalm 119:50 testifies, “This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your word has given me life.” Are you with the expectation to get from the word of God? With understanding, know the word of God to ask for what the word of God will give.
Psalm 119:130 testifies, “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.” With understanding, know to ask for the word of God that can give light, for navigating through the darkness of the world not to become a victim of falling.
Also, one that gives self to the word God will be build up to inherit as the approved one before God. Acts 20:32 records, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Give yourself to the word of God to build you to receive from the word of God that will give unfailingly.

Prayer for today: Ask from God to enable you to engage His word as your way of life.

TURN TO GOD!

FAITH CAPSULE: Looking at God and not turn aside to Him is incomplete.

Exodus 3

Knowing about God is not the same as knowing God.
Looking at God is not the same as looking for God to find God.
The evidence to KNOW GOD is to TURN ASIDE to God.
It is an error, incomplete to look at God but not turn aside to God.
All must TURN ASIDE to God, to know God.
Through the Bible, it is repeatedly identified that there is a need to TURN ASIDE to God. For example, Moses could not live life in the calling of God until he TURNED ASIDE to God.
Exodus 3:2-4 RECORDS,
“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he LOOKED, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I WILL NOW TURN ASIDE AND SEE THIS GREAT SIGHT, why the bush does not burn.” So when the Lord saw that he TURNED ASIDE TO LOOK, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” (Exodus 3:2-4)
Moses looked without getting the calling of God until he turned aside to see.
THE KEY TO ARRIVE AT THE CALLING OF GOD DEMANDS TURNING ASIDE to see God. One that sees God will KNOW GOD, to answer THE CALLING of God.
The world is full of distractions from inside to outside and will deny turning aside to look for God to find God.
Get to know God, turn aside to look for God.
With a desire to live life in the calling of God, do not count on your determination because determination will fail.
However, with desire and persistent PRAYER, one WILL not fail but turn aside to God. It was the prayer of Jesus that uphold the faith of Peter not to fail.
Many are looking for god wrongly by running from church building to another building, giving self to empty promises before god, counting on a man but not committed to God (the evidence of knowing about God but not know God.)
Knowing about God but not know God is prevalent (widespread) even among many acclaimed believers and among the ones with titles (pastors, Bishop, Prophet) in the house of God.
Are you running after a man posing in the name of a great man of God but not KNOW GOD to turn aside to God?
Do you KNOW GOD?
Do you know that it is possible in the journey of life, to be on the right track but remain trapped without knowing to move forward?
Have you been called out of religion into the reality of Christ, knowing to do according to His word?

Prayer for today: Ask from God to turn away your eyes from looking at worthless things, and to revive you in His way.

JOURNEY OF EXPERIENCE

FAITH CAPSULE: The wilderness journey is a wild journey where nothing works but faith.

Exodus 13:17-22, Matthew 4:1-17

A wilderness journey of life is possible to be a tough time.
In the wilderness journey of life, pleasant things of life are unable to be enjoyed. The time of the wilderness journey of life comes with the spiritual, financial, or emotional challenge but never beyond the intervention of God to see through.
The Bible records, “Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” (Matthew 4:1)
Jesus, Lord, and savior passed through the wilderness before getting to the center of His divine assignment. If Jesus, Lord, and savior is with no exemption from the wilderness journey, there should be no one to be exempted from journeying through the wilderness journey before arriving at the center of the divine assignment.
In life, it is how wild a wilderness journey is that will determine how challenging one will engage for the glory of God.
The wilderness journey is a journey of no turning back.
In every wilderness journey, there is no back road or short cut to arrival at the expected end but must be navigated entirely.
The deliverance of the Israelites out of the bondage of over four hundred years, to the Promised Land, could not be through a short-cut or back road but the wilderness journey. Exodus 13:17-18 records, “Then it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.” The wilderness journey of life is not a route to avoid challenges of life, but actually, to experience the process to become positioned in the promise of God that is good for life.
The wilderness journey is not a journey which one plans for, it is a journey that puts one in the plan of God.
The wilderness journey is not a journey of comfort neither is it a journey of choice or interest.
The wilderness journey is a journey for every man in the hand of God to pass through to learn obedience.
It is recorded for all to know that the wilderness journey is inevitable for all that is with the calling of God.
In your answering to the calling of God, are you seeking for a back road or short-cut to avoid the wilderness journey?
The wilderness journey is a journey of trial and temptation, it can be an un-encouraging route with pain, but with obedience to the direction of God, it is the only available avenue that leads through the promise of God into claiming the promises of God without failure.
Any attempt to avoid the wilderness journey will make a believer become a wanderer to arrive at the wonder of God.
Engage your wilderness journey by knowing that God is able to see you through.

Prayer for today: Ask from God to enable your answering to His calling.

PRAY WITH UNDERSTANDING

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you praying with understanding to access God?

Matthew 6

Prayer is not a parade to impress man but to provoke the hand of God for His favor of goodness. Prayer is a labor that is not for one with the spirit of laziness.
The prayer of Jesus in the garden demonstrates that prayer is labor that God cannot ignore. Luke 22:44 identifies the labor prayer of Jesus, “And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”  Engage prayer laboriously as a way of life in this wicked world to be saved.
Give yourself to prayer.
Prayer is the master key to assess receiving from God. With understanding, prayer is not assuming to receive from God but to ask, seek or knock just as Matthew 7:7 records, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
To ask or think is praying to receive as Ephesians 3:20 records, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”
To ask is with action that is rooted in faith for God to see, and not deny answer.
To seek is with seeking God to receive by watching not to miss when God answers.
To knock persistently for an open door will not deny the prayer as the master key to open or to lock.
Prayer before God is asking God to change things around for good, according to His will.
Are you praying with understanding, to gain an edge from the answer to your prayer?
Are you praying to God with understanding?
The word of God points to all the importance of seeking God with understanding as Psalm 47:7 denotes, “For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.” As the word of God demands to sing praises with understand, praying before God and other ways of seeking God is not with the exemption from praying with understanding before God.
Prayer with understanding will not be ignored by God.
With prayer, one cannot be quiet to become victorious.
Prayer is action. The evidence of having understanding and knowledge of God will always gain the attention of God. 1 Samuel 2:3 admonishes, “For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him, actions are weighed.” Let your prayer be an action that carries weights before God that will provoke God to incline His ear to your prayer.
How is your prayer life?
Are you praying to God from the head or heart?
Is your prayer rooted in the word of God or the word of your head?
Is your prayer at your convenience and without commitment before God?
Apostle Paul identifies the importance of how prayer should be to gain the attention of God, as he states in Acts 6:4, “but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
Let praying before God become your priority as your way of life.

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable you to be praying with understanding.

MAY 2020 FAITH MAIL

MY MONTH OF TRUSTING GOD

With understanding, confessing the promised word of God will confirm one for His promise.
With Bible verse, confess by the word of God over this month as the month of TRUSTING God: “The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.” (Nahum 1:7) Prayerfully, meditate the verse for the whole month of May, and God will answer to you as a good God, as your stronghold, not to become a victim of challenging trouble of today.
Trusting God is having faith in God.
Faith comes by giving self to the word of God to have trust in God.
Some pages of the Bible identify what will be added to those who trust in the Lord God.
Psalm 9:10 states, “And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
Psalm 34:2 records, “The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.”
Psalm 125:1 record, “Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.”
Isaiah 26:4, “Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.”
Jeremiah 17:7, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.”
With faith, trust in God, not be forsaken or condemned, not to be moved but abide forever, to having everlasting strength and have hope in God.
Let it be your confession that May 2020 is your month of trust in the Lord.
To have trust in the Lord will wait on the Lord God.
Word, the source of faith, encourages more to have trust in God by waiting on God.
Psalm 27:14, “Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Psalm 37:4, “Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.”
Isaiah 40:31 records, “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
This month, trust God, by waiting on God, and not become a victim of troubling challenge.
The troubling challenge demands a fight of faith not to be looser, to become denied for eternal life. 1 Timothy 6:12 admonishes, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” The race of one month to trust God should extend trusting God in the journey of life.
Trust on God to wait on God.
In your waiting on God, do not walk on the ground that calls for running or to run on the ground that calls for walking.
Trusting on God by waiting on God is like mounting up with wings like eagles that cannot be weary or faint to become a victim of troubling challenge.
The testimony of David in Psalm 23:4 records, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
David gives the picture of what it means to trust and wait on God in the face of troubling challenges.
The trust in God was in place for David not to run with fear of evil but walk in the scary valley of the shadow of death.
Trust on God will lead and guide in this troubling challenge time of darkest of no light as if death had cast his dark shadow everywhere.
Confessing trust in God will disallow fear for evil.
Confessing trust in God will impart confidence and to know that God will not leave one alone, and will defend such.
In the word of God is the presence of God, the power, and protection for one with understanding to trust in God.
Give yourself to confessing trust in God, to be confirmed with His comfort and safety in the troubling challenges.
