IDENTIFY YOUR WAY

FAITH CAPSULE: As an acclaim believer of God’s word, are you twisting the truth?

Proverbs 19

Truth is the way and the life.
John 14:6 records, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
The truth of God is the word of God.
Are you twisting the truth of God?
By your word or by your action, are you adding or taking away from the word of God?
Revelation 22:18-19 warned, “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
Twisting the word of God is adding or taking away from the word of God.
Twisting the truth of God can be lying in the place of telling the truth. Twisting is evil that needs to be put away in one’s life. Deuteronomy 19:19 buttress, “…so you shall put away the evil from among you.” Acclaimed believers and unbelievers of God’s word twists the truth to DECEIVE, to STEAL, to MANIPULATE, to BEAR FALSE WITNESS and to DEMONSTRATES INCONSISTENCY in the word of God.
Are you twisting the truth of God?
As an acclaim believer of God’s word, are you twisting the truth?
Be warned, stay away from twisting the truth of God, give self to the word of God as a warning not only for arousing emotion. Colossians 1:28 buttress, “Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.”
By your way of life, search yourself to determine your stand before God.
Twisting the truth of God is a decision made to live a life of evil, and not of God. Jesus spoke in John 8:42-47, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore, you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
Twisting the truth of God is the evidence of not listening to the truth but giving attention to lying.
Twisting the truth of God is the evidence of accepting the devil as a father.
Twisting the truth of God is doing the will of the devil.

Prayer for today: Ask God to uphold you in the truth of His word.

GIVE SELF TO COMING WORD OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Receive coming word of God!

1 Kings 17

The living word of God that moves will locate one with warning as direction for deliverance and preservation.
One with the hearing of the word of God that comes will have the faith of God. Romans 10:17 testifies, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Without hearing by the word of God, the word of God will depart and not build you in the faith of God.
Through the pages of the Bible, the coming word of God entered some, and with obedience, great exploits were the mark before God
What denies the word of God’s access into your life?
Elijah did great exploit when he called off rainfall and the word of God located him for his preservation. 1 Kings 17:1-6, documents Elijah’s opening to the coming word of God, “And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.” Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying,  “Get away from here and turn eastward and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.  And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.  The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.” (1 Kings 17:1-6) Elijah was opened to the coming word of God for his deliverance and caring provision, and could not become a victim of wicked Ahab.
It was also the coming word of God that gave direction for Elijah’s survival of his journey when God’s word sent him to call down rain, “And it came to pass after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, “Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth.” (1 Kings 18:1)
Just as the coming word of God located Elijah and he could not become a victim of the wicked world, Jonah exposed himself to affliction because of his disobedience to the word of God, “Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.” But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. ” (Jonah 1:1-3)
Jonah denied the coming word of God to depart from the presence of God when he landed in a stormy sea which positioned him in great fish for three days and three nights.
Give self to coming word of God.

Prayer for today: Ask from God to have you open for His word when it sounds in your direction.

AUGUST 2019 FAITH MAIL

AVOID PATTERNS OF DISTRACTION

Distraction will assault man’s attention to prevent man’s concentration. When distraction takes a position in the life of man, it will be almost impossible for a man to gain or prevail in the course of the endeavor. Distraction is a denial agent against a man not to walk in the Lord, to arrive in the center of God’s divine assignment. Distraction can also be an indefinable force that will deny a man from getting to the expected end in the journey of faith.
Samson was a man destined to be a deliverer of his people by the hand of God upon his life. At the time he was to be conceived by his mother God sent an angel that said to his mother, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. Now, therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean. For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.” (Judges 13:3-5) After his birth, at a point in his journey of life, he became a victim of distraction from the word of God over his life. Samson was not to reveal the secret which the angel delivered to his mother but he became enticed by his wife (Delilah) and could not focus and maintain the secret (word) of God over his life.
Samson was pressed by his wife to reveal the secret of God upon his life to his enemy. Judges 16:18-20 records the distraction of Samson, “When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart.” So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand. Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him.” Samson’s distraction was not his outsider but his wife.
What or who is your distraction that is set to derail your journey to the center of divine assignment?
During the challenges of Job, his wife was an agent of distraction with an attempt to set Job away from God’s presence. Bible records Job’s wife’s distraction, “Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9)
Unlike Samson, Job resisted distraction by responding to his wife’s distracting device, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” (Job 2:10)
Are you avoiding devices of distraction before you?
Give attention to deny distraction in your life otherwise, a distraction from the inside (no distraction from outside) will deny your divine assignment as you journey in life. Deny distraction in your life.
Many have welcomed Jesus into their hearts as Lord and savior but giving Him due attention is lacking because of distraction.
With Jesus in your heart, you must be living life like Him (behave the word) to avoid an unfruitful life. For anyone who has welcomed and received Jesus into one’s life, there is a need to maintain His presence. Martha is an example of one’s welcoming of Jesus into her house but could not avoid distraction. Luke 10:38 records, “Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.”
Are you like Martha?
Have you welcomed Him into your house by receiving Him?
Martha welcomed Jesus into her house, “But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ‘Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.’” (Luke 10:40) Distraction denied Martha from Jesus’ presence in her house.
There is nothing wrong in serving God but distraction can derail a believer from arriving at God’s divine assignment.
Martha welcomed Him into her house but became distracted.
Who or what is your distraction?

WORD OF GOD WILL COME

FAITH CAPSULE: The word of God is with power, is a living force that moves.

Genesis 15

The book of John 1:1 declares, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The Word of God is God.
God sent His word for healing and deliverance. (Psalm 107:20)
The word of God is the power of God.
When the word of God goes as sent by God, it does not return void to God but shall accomplish. (Isiah 55:11)
The word of God has not failed and will not fail.
No man can hide from God’s word or deceive God’s word.
The word of God is magnified above all the names of God. (Psalm 138:2)
Who can stand against the word of God?
The word of God is like the fire that can burn out all that does not represent God.
The word of God is like the hammer that nothing can deny the break force of the word. Jeremiah 23:29 buttress, “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”
The word of God is complete to transform, to build one that gives self to the word of God. Acts 20:32 records, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
Is it your desire to be built up by God’s word, to live life for the glory of God?
Is it your understanding to be opened for the word of God?
It is encouraging to be opened for God’s word as Bible records, “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.” (Psalm 119:130) In this wicked world that is covered by darkness, the word of God in one’s life will set one for a great exploit, to the glory of God.
God magnifies His word above all His name which identifies some characters of His word such as, the word of God does not sleep, it does not disappoint, it does not misdirect, it will locate any man in challenges, it is always on time and will perfect with performance for one that embraces with obedience.
The word of God is with power, is a living force that moves and not stagnated.
The word of God will come for you to free you from whatever represents prison of this life, that is holding you down from living for God’s assignment in your life.
The living word of God located Abraham with assured confidence against fear as stated, “…the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” (Genesis 15:1)
The word of God also located Abram with the boldness and character which prompted is hope not to be childless saying,  “And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” (Genesis 15:4)
The word of God is alive to move for deliverance and preservation.

Prayer for today: Ask God for His word to locate you.

GOD CARES

FAITH CAPSULE: God is keeping all consistently despite man’s inconsistency.

John 4:1-42

Continually, the care of God does not expire.
God is mindful of us to care more than we understand or know.
The care of God is His love as He declares, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17)
The care of God is His gift for all that is conscious to accept and unwrap the gift of God. Jesus refers to Himself as the gift of God saying, “…If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” (John 4:10)
Consciously, do you care for God’s gift of love for you?
God cares with His salvation plan for all. Do you understand how much He cares for you as His child? David’s curiosity questioned in Psalm 8:4-6, “What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet…” The curiosity of David revealed the truthfulness of God’s care for all His creation.
God’s mindful for all man is the evidence that God is near to all.
Under heaven, no one can hide from God, regardless of how one works away from God (word of God), God remains near but not far from all.
Testimony of Deuteronomy 4:7 is the evidence that God is near, “For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?” Jeremiah 23:23 confirms that God is near, “Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord, “And not a God afar off?”
When God is near the presence of God is evident. However, sin will always keep a man from God that is near. Sin, not obeying God for correction to trust God will keep the sinner from God’s presence. Zephaniah 3:2 buttressed that sin will keep sinning man from His presence. It is written, “She has not obeyed His voice, she has not received correction; She has not trusted in the Lord, She has not drawn near to her God.” One outside of God’s presence because of sin does not keep one to be unreachable from God’s near. Is it your world around you that is the self-deception or self-denial that is keeping you from being conscious of God’s care for you?
God is mindful of all man. God is near to us and cares for all that care to live life by His word.
Living in the consciousness of God’s care is the evidence of faith; the expression of expectation for God’s divine protection at all time.
Be conscious of God’s care.

Prayer for today: Ask God for yourself to continually have the mind for Him.
