Love

LOVE< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 6:27-38

God is love. He sent His only begotten son because He loves us. There are many believers that go around with a diary of grudges and bitterness. In entering into church, they are the ones who praise the loudest. Indeed, it is good to worship God, but worshiping God in emptiness is worthless and does not amount to power. 1 John 2:9, ÒHe, who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.Ó God is not a fool, neither is He a God who does not hear or see. God has given His word and He has fulfilled His salvation plans for us. It is now left for man to turn unto God and obey all that He has commanded. He knows when love is not genuine and sincere. Loving has to be in His own way. 1 Timothy 1:5, ÒNow the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.Ó Love is what Christianity is all about. Many times believers have walked away where love needs to be demonstrated. Love can never be harmful especially when it is demonstrated with a good conscience and sincere faith. Romans 13:10, Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.Ó It is clearly demonstrated that diary of bitterness, anger, and animosity will not prevail; it will only unveil the owner of the diary to eternal damnation. Also, it will only take the grace of God to live a life of loving others. Ask God today for His grace.

Kinds Of Building

KINDS OF BUILDING< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 6:46-49

Acts 20:32, ÒSo now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.Ó What kind of ÒbuildingÓ are you? As a believer, we are like a building that is going through construction on a regular basis. All buildings are before Him but not all buildings are progressing in construction before Him. We all come before Him calling and lifting up hands before Him, but not all of us are doing what He says. So can you as a believer identify yourself? Luke 6:46, ÒBut why do you call Me ÔLord, Lord,Õ and not do the things which I say?Ó Despite that we are all gathering and calling on Him as Lord does not mean we have accepted His Lordship over us. We can deceive our brethren by the lifting up of hands or singing beautifully, but Jesus knows who we are. The two kinds of buildings that Jesus identifies are the ones that are in the church today. However, He pointed out that the ones that hear and do His word will stand in time of challenges. The ones that do not do His word do have a price to pay. Luke 6:49, ÒBut he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.Ó It is important for us as believers to know the consequences of playing religion than knowing the consequences of Jesus reality. The reason is that we will always be kept in constant check. Also, God is good and there are so many good waiting for those that are faithful in their walk with Him. Constantly keep in mind what awaits those ÒbuildingsÓ that are not hearing. You do not want to be a building that is going through the wrong construction.

Seat Of Authority

SEAT OF AUTHORITY< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 5

Every time the situation of a believer in Christ grows dim with no hope in sight, God will show up. In every embarrassing situation, His relationship will prevail in your Christian journey. It was over for the fishermen at the < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Lake of Gennesaret because no single fish was caught. The chapter for that day was over and closed. In Luke 5:2, it was recorded that Jesus saw two boats standing in the Lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. The fishermen were done for the day and they have nothing to show for their all night effort. So many stories of believers are not different from that of those fishermenÕs failure. When Jesus showed up, all He did was to take a seat of authority in one of the fishermenÕs vehicle of no productivity and give it direction. Luke 5:3, ÒThen He got into one of the boats, which was SimonÕs, and asked him to put out a little from the boat. 4 When He stopped speaking, He said to Simon, ÔLaunch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.ÕÓ Only God knows how far into the lake the fishermen have gone toiling without any result. When Jesus took a seat in their vehicle, their story was rewritten from that of a failure to success, lack into abundance, loss into victory. Jesus did not go far; all He did was to ask for the boat to be put out a little from the land. He is the Lord of lords. If you allow Him to take a seat and establish Himself concerning your situation, it will not take all night in searching before you enter a new ground of breakthrough. God will help us to be positioned for His breakthrough in our life in Jesus name.

Just A Word

JUST A WORD< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 5:1-11

On that day, at the < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Lake of Gennesaret, the fishermen had toiled all night but they were not able to catch any fish. When Jesus approached them, He gave them His word. Luke 5:4, ÒWhen He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, ÒLaunch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.Ó In His word there is power to receive, heal and deliver. His word is His identity, His word has never failed and it will not fail if it is received with faith and not doubt. Having toiled all night with nothing to show for it, there is no better way for us than to turn and respond to the living word of God. If many that are toiling in vain will seek the word of God, their story will be changed for the better.  Simon does not have any choice but to respond. He needed to salvage the fruitless, all night effort. Luke 5:5, ÒBut Simon answered and said to Him, ÒMaster, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.Ó At His word, the nightÕs mockery was transformed into miracle. The Bible records that they caught a great number of fish, so large a number that their nets began to break. The fishermen responded to the word of breakthrough and their nets could no longer contain the fruit of obedience. The word of God is power and it still carries that same power today if it is fully obeyed. When the word is manifested in your situation your story will be changed. Luke 5:9, ÒFor he and all who were with Him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had takenÓ Your story will be changed for good, in JesusÕ name. Where others have been looking at you as one who Ôcannot make itÕ they will begin to look at you with great astonishment.

Just A Reminder

JUST A REMINDER< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Galatians 5

Fulfilling the lust of the flesh is an engagement with the devil. Jesus described the devil as a thief that comes to steal and to kill, and to destroy (John < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>10:10). We are admonished by Paul to constantly renew our minds, to avoid conformity to this world and the fulfilling of the lust of the flesh. When constant renewing of the mind is in place, transformation will not be hindered in our walk with the Lord and becoming a victim of the devil will not prevail. In Galatians, the Apostle Paul identified the works of the flesh. Galatians 5:19, ÒNow the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.Ó The word of God is true and it will come to pass. Will you engage yourself in a search of your heart? Are you able to identify any of the above transgressions in your life? Ask Him to lead you out of it into the way everlasting. Apostle Paul also reveals that our walk in the Spirit allows us an escape from fulfilling the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16, ÒI say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.Ó A very strong statement by Apostle Paul here is, Òshall notÓ It is not possible to walk in the word of God while lusting in the flesh. Engage in the walk of the word and the Lord God will have mercy on you.
