Hearing And Seeing

Hearing and Seeing< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Matthew 13:1-23

Ears and eyes are not accidental; and not for decoration. God gave it for a purpose and if the purpose failed, GodÕs direction will also fail to establish itself in your life. Many have ears and eyes but it does not serve the right purpose for their life to be constantly transformed. Talk to understanding; you do not have to be like everyone. Psalm 94:8, ÒUnderstand, you senseless among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?Ó  If the function of ears and eyes is to see and hear; He expects you to see and hear. As a child of God, you canÕt afford not to hear when He speaks. When He shows up, you canÕt afford not to see and turn. When you fail to hear or see and turn you will miss your appointed time period. Think of it; time is crucial. All that you have missed in the past years which you know was meant for you cannot be rewound back. There is nothing that will cause you to miss except when you fail to hear when God is speaking direction into your life; when God is showing you a turning point.  In Matt.13:15, Jesus quoted Isaiah 6:9 Òfor the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.Ó Remember, faith comes by hearing; what you see is what you receive. Ask God for the grace of a quickening mind that will constantly enable you to see and hear when there is a need.

Pleasing Him

John 8:28-43

Many times you must have heard a believer quoting the Word of God that states ÒHe will never leave me nor forsake me.Ó You probably have use the same quotation a number of times. Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith once made a statement, John < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>8:29, ÒAnd He who sent Me is with Me. The father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.Ó After you have quoted yours, have you ever found yourself in situation of being left alone? Jesus meant what He said because indeed He was never left alone all throughout His ministry on the face of this earth. This is evident in all that He did. Whenever Jesus spoke, His words were backed with power because the Father was always with Him. Is your story the same after your confession that He will never leave you nor forsake you? You have missed if your words are always empty. You have not been paying the price that will cause Him not to leave you nor forsake you. JesusÕ always pays the price and it is an example for us to follow for the Father not to leave us. The price for Him not to leave us nor forsake us is to always do what pleases Him. Pleasing God is the secret. Hebrew 11:6, ÒBut without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.Ó Today, consider the need to live the Word of God so that you will begin to avoid empty quotations that are not backed with power. The Word of God has, is, and will always be true if you will pay the price that is behind every word. To sound the Word of God, you will have to behave the word of God. Ask Him for the grace to keep His Word.

Sight

Sight< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

John 9:1-23

A man who was blind from his motherÕs womb was at his regular position of begging and mockery when JesusÕ passing by brought him out of his blindness. Many times Jesus has passed by you and He is still passing by, but you could not receive your deliverance from what has kept you grounded for years. Your inability to receive is not because Jesus has stopped in His passing by; it is because you have failed to enter into His commandment. Most times, His commandment will sound foolish. It may make you look stupid, but the bottom line is there are direction, deliverance and breakthrough in His commandment. Jesus saw the blind man from birth. He approached him. He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay (John 9:6). After Jesus had contacted the blind man, He then gave him a command. John 9:7, ÒAnd He said to Him, ÔGo, wash in the pool of SiloamÕ (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.Ó This blind man was unlike the Syrian army commander, Naaman, Elisha sent to wash at < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Jordan. Naaman was reluctant and furious for going to such a low standard river. He delayed his going and his miracle was delayed. The blind man, however, did not question Jesus. He went and washed and he gained sight. Stagnation ceased in his life and he saw where he has not been seeing since birth. His neighbors questioned his healing. Ridicule ceased and above all, direction became clear because there was sight in place. The secret of the blind manÕs miracle was he became submissive to the command that brought his healing. There is also direction in obeying His command. Lord give me the grace for obedience that I may receive sight for breakthrough.

Knowing Edge

Knowing Edge< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

1Samuel 3:1-11

It is the knowing that you have in the Lord that will determine the edge you will have over confronting situations of life. It does not matter who you are or what you do in the house of the Lord; if the required knowledge is not in place in your life, it is possible for you to miss His call of assignment. I Samuel 3:1, ÒNow the boy Samuel ministered to the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation.Ó Age or number has never been a limitation as regard to who God wants to use in furthering His purpose on the face of the earth. Man, however, can be limited if there is lack of understanding to know. As young as Samuel could have been, he was the one to hear from God in days when revelation was rare. Samuel was in the right location at the right time of his life. God located him for an assignment because age and number is not a determinant for God to move whenever or wherever He chooses to move. The point is Samuel was a minister and did not have the knowing that it takes to hear from God. Are you a minister that is not hearing from Him? 1Samuel 3:7, ÒNow Samuel did not yet know the LORD. Nor was the word of the LORD yet revealed to Him.Ó It was not of the fact that Samuel was too young; it was of the fact that despite his ministering to the LORD, despite being in the right location to be connected to heaven, he did not yet know the LORD. Ask God for an understanding to know to hear Him in every calling that is placed in your life. Without understanding, a knowing edge (Knowledge) over confronting situations will not be in place. He is a merciful God.
