Wait And Act

Wait and Act< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Genesis 13:1-18

It is always better to wait before you act, not act before you wait. When you wait before you act, God will always act on your behalf. Abraham, with his good heart, took < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Lot with him when he was not supposed to. In their journeys together from one land to another land, their possessions became larger, and there was a need for separation. Genesis 13:6, ÒNow the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together.Ó With growth came strife and need for Abraham and Lot to separate from each other. As a result, there was a call for the separation of land between Abraham and Lot. Genesis 13:10, ÒAnd Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar.Ó Lot chose the best without any hesitation. Lot could not wait for the older man, Abraham. Abraham did not object but accepted and agreed with Lot. Abraham waited, and God acted. Genesis 13:14, ÒAnd the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from Him: ÔLift your eyes now and look from the place where you are Ð northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.Ó Do you believe that the same God is still working His wonderful miracle? God will not fail to reward you if you can wait for Him to act on your behalf. Lot could not wait, and his choice led him down an unwanted, painful path.

Hallow God

Exodus 17:1-7, Numbers 27:12-14

When you fail to remember Him for what He is, what He has done, what He is doing, what He will do; or you fail to remember what the instruction for your assignment is, you are bound to pay the price. When you fail to remember Him, you will lose focus. When you lose focus, you will rebel. To rebel is to complain or not to hallow His holy name. Consider the story of Moses and Aaron for a moment. Numbers 27:14, ÒFor in the Wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to hallow Me at the waters before their eyes.Ó (These are the waters of Meribah, at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.) Moses and Aaron, giants in the hand of God, left < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Egypt, but Egypt did not leave them. You have given your life to Christ and your lifestyle is still holding you back. Today, begin to think of whom you are as a child of God; understand where He is leading you. Moses could only see the promise but could not step on the promise land. God does not and will not overlook sin; there are consequences for all that you do. Remember God and hallow Him because He is a jealous God. When you hallow Him, He will uphold you in all of your steps.

God Of Miracle

God of Miracle< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Exodus 14: 12-30

The children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel, fresh from bondage of over four hundred years fled into a giant obstacle. You can imagine them coming out of that bondage with miracles and favor bestowed upon them by their Egyptian masters, through the hand of God. It should be expected that nothing will cause them to be moved by fear. The moment they realized a new danger–the Red Sea–in front, and their masters chasing from behind, and there was no turning left or right, they became afraid. The children of Israel instantly forgot to remember what God had done to get them to where they were in their journey. Where you are at this point of your journey does not matter, but He that brought you to where you are is the One that matters. You owe Him all the focus. If He chose to terminate or to see you through your journey, no devil under heaven can stop Him. In the case of the Israelites, Moses said to them in Exodus 14:13, ÒAnd Moses said to the people, do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today, for the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.Ó The Lord said it, the Lord did it. What He said to them He has said to you. However, for you not to see the Egyptians that you have left behind, and still chasing you, follow what Moses said: 1. Do not be afraid, 2. Stand still, 3. See your salvation (even though it is not at hand, but believe it is there), 4. When you begin to see it, you have provoked His hand, 5. He will do it. Do you believe? If you will hold your peace by taking to MosesÕ suggestion, then he will fight for you.

Hardness Of Heart

Hardness of Heart< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Exodus 7:1-7, 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5

There is a proverb that says, ÒA dog that wants to get lost will not listen to hear the whistle of direction from the lost path.Ó In the case of Pharaoh, he heard and he saw all the hand of God, in complete power, being demonstrated right before his eyes. Pharaoh did not listen to what Moses had to say for the release of the children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel from the bondage of Egypt. Actually, it was not PharaohÕs fault except that he happened to be a vessel of dishonor. Exodus 7:3, ÒAnd I will hardened PharaohÕs heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt Pharaoh did see so many miracles which was enough for him to let the Israelites go, but he refused to grant them exit out of Egypt because God hardened his heart. You have seen multiples of miracles from the time you were growing up, and you are still seeing so many miracles, yet you find it difficult to let God have His way in your life. Have you ever thought of what is wrong with your heart? You have determined numerous times to turn it all to Him, but is not working. Indeed, determination will not work, and it will fail. If you sincerely desire to give it all to Him, enter into your prayer room and begin to ask Him for help. You can take to PaulÕs prayer in 2 Thessalonians 3:5, ÒNow may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of ChristÓ It is evident that God is the director of the heart. He alone will choose to direct it for you to love Him or to play hard. Desire the good one for yourself and He will deposit it in you.

Living End

Living End< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Exodus 14:1-12

The children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel just saw the hand of God deliver them out of bondage of over four hundred years and they could not hold on to the testimonies of their deliverance. When they approached the Red Sea, the Egyptian army, with all their chariots, went after the children of Israel attempting to overtake them from GodÕs hand. The children of Israel lost hope and entered into complaining. Exodus 14:12, ÒIs this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ÔLet us alone that we may serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.ÕÓ At the time they were complaining, they could only see a dead end. The children of Israel lost hope, faith went cold and they could not see anyway out. Have you been in a situation that all man-made help has failed and continues to fail? Know that what you are going through is not beyond God. God will make a way for you if you can hold on to His hand. With Christ in your life there will be a way out for you. He that made the way out of the Red Sea is alive, and He is still making similar ways for those that hope in Him. In every dead end there is always a living end. God will make a way that will deposit laughter into your life, only do not give up; keep pressing on to your point of deliverance and God will see you through.
