Guidance

Guidance

1 Chronicles 10: 1-14

Lift up your voice to God and ask Him to help you not to fail in keeping His word. A failure not to keep the living word of God is a failure not to live in this world that was created by His word. Not to live by His word is an act of unfaithfulness. God invested in you so you can live for Him. He invested in Saul the king of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel, but Saul failed because he did not live by the word of God. 1 Chronicles 10:13, ÒSo Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance.Ó If Saul had been able to live by the word of the LORD, there would not have been a reason for him to look up to a medium for guidance. You have been looking left and right for guidance. However, you will not find guidance anywhere other than the word of God. When you avoid avenues that are not of God, you will not die untimely death. Keep the word of God and you will not fail to look up to Him. GodÕs guidance is the only way.

Avoidance Of Curse

Avoidance of curse< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

1King 2, 5

Elisha knew what he wanted from God. He also realized the channel for the flow of his desire. He entered into following Elijah. He saw what Elijah had done by the hand of God upon his life. Elisha followed Elijah everywhere he went. Discouragement and mockery could not distract Elisha from focusing on what he wanted. When the chariot of fire came and took Elijah to heaven, all that Elisha wanted from Elijah was transferred unto Elisha. Elisha took the place of Elijah. Later on, Gehazi took the place of Elisha. However, Gehazi could not focus. He saw a huge gift that was turned down by Elisha when Naaman a commander of the army of the king of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Syria received healing from leprosy. Seeing that Elisha had rejected the gift, Gehazi went behind and pursued Naaman for the gift. All Gehazi needed to focus on was pursuing Elisha. Instead, Gehazi lost focus; his agenda changed and his heart went after material things. Is your case similar to that of Gehazi? Do you know what your calling is about? Elisha found out what Gehazi had followed. Instead of Elisha releasing unto Gehazi what was released unto him by Elijah, he pronounced a curse upon Gehazi. 2Kings 5:27, ÒÔTherefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and your descendants forever.Õ And he went out from his presence leprous, as white as snow.Ó Do not lose focus to avoid everlasting or generational curses.

Distraction

Distraction< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 10:38-42

For real, distraction will deny you. If you are not real in your walk and how you work for the Lord, distraction is a legitimate poison that will deny you from getting to an expected end in the journey of faith. So many have welcomed Jesus into their heart, they have received Him as their Lord and savior, but the fact is, your welcoming Him requires a certain level of attention to avoid His withdrawal from you. Having been able to receive Him, you have to behave like Him to avoid an unfruitful way of life. For anyone that has both welcomed and received Jesus into their life, there is a need to maintain His entrance in their life. Giving Him all the attention is what it takes to maintain His entrance. Luke 10:38, ÒNow it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.Ó Just like Martha, you have welcomed Him into your house by receiving Him. Luke 10:40, ÒBut Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ÔLord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.ÕÓ Can you see how Martha is falling away? Nothing is bad in serving, but it is bad if, in your service to the Lord, distraction is having its way over your life. Martha welcomed Him into her house but became distracted. It does not matter who you are or how you serve in the house of the Lord, distraction will deny you if you fail to deny distraction and focus on Him.

Serious Problem

Serious problem< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Psalm 119: 129-136

As a believer, you wonder why there is no difference in your result as compared to an unbelieverÕs result. There could be different reasons why your result continues to be same like that of the unbeliever. One of the reasons is that, you are an unbelieving believer. Your being empty inside and outside, brings same result for you like the unbelievers. The word of God that is power is not in you. It is near your mouth, but absent in your heart. You quote the word from head but it does not have its root in the mind. You memorized the word instead of meditating it. The word that you hear with your right ear goes out through the left ear. Seriously that is your problem; it is not that God have stopped moving on behalf of those that are steadfast in Him. God is a living God and He is faithful to His word. Psalm 119:130, ÒThe entrance of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.Ó Sundays upon Sundays, bible studies upon bible studies produce no result in your life. The word of God is not entering you, it only passes through you. The word is supposed to guide and direct you; its absence in you gives way for darkness to have its place in you. There is no light to prevent you from falling, in this world of darkness. Do you still wonder why your results are not different from the world around you? As a child of the living God, you do not have to be like this world but you can live in this world differently, if your heart is simple enough the word will enter to reign and rule.

Pleasing Enemy

Acts 12:1-25, 1Peter 4:7

Whatever gives pleasure to the enemy over your life or makes enemy to rejoice concerning your life is a close call of untimely death. Do you have a prayer life or brethren that you fellowship in prayer together in the morning, afternoon, night time or < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>midnight, rather than you having a gossip ministry? If you are lacking in prayer, you have definitely exposed yourself to the enemy. King Herod was an ally with the Jews that were persecuting the early church. They were also enemies of the gospel, and they do not have respect for the life of the apostles. In Acts 12:1-3, ÒNow about that time the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the days of the unleavened bread.Ó It pleased the Jews that John was killed with the sword. The same hand that went against John went after Peter with the same agenda. The enemy wanted to rejoice over Peter. Thank God for Peter, prayer warriors stood in the gap for Peter. Just as enemies were pleased over JamesÕ death, they also wanted to be pleased over PeterÕs death. Get out of gossip ministry and get yourself into a prayer group. The enemy will have no ground to be pleased concerning your life.
