Obedience

Obedience< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

1Samuel 15

Obeying GodÕs command is not just in the mouth. Also, fearing God is not just in the mouth. Obeying and fearing God should both be in the heart and in demonstration. Among believers, there are so many that always claim to be obedient and to fear God. It is all lie, not true because it is not rooted in the heart. How can a lying believer claim that he fears God and be making up stories of what is not true? You as a child of God have taken Him too small in your heart. Your obedience is to the one that you fear, and not to God. This is a proven fact in the life of King Saul. Saul witnessed the power of God a number of times but he faltered when it came down to the issue of obeying God. He failed to obey because he could not see God in the picture at the time of his disobedience. Saul saw the people; he feared the people instead of God and disobedience took over his relationship with God. Ò1Samuel 15:24, then Saul said to Samuel, ÔI have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.Ó For real, who do you fear? Ask King Saul about what happened after he substituted his fear for the picture that was presented to Him. There is sin, forgiveness, and consequence. Sin is cheap, forgiveness has been paid for (if you repent) but the consequence is expensive and painful. You will have to pay for the consequences of your sin.

Negativity

Negativity< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

1Samuel 17, Ecclesiastes 5:6,

Negative before positive is equal to Negative. When you confess negative before positive, you might end up getting negative. When Goliath was harassing the children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel in the valley of Elah, he prepared the ground for his fall by the sound of negativity that he produced for David to work on. 1Samuel17:9, ÒIf he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants. But if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall be your servants and serve us.Ó Goliath produced a negative sound for himself before e produced a positive second. Have you been seeing negative before you see positive in your situation? It is what you see that will become of you. As a child of God, let it be done in you that negativity should not be the sound of your mouth. Most times when you say it, it becomes done. Ecclesiastes 5: 6, ÒDo not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands?Ó The sound you produce is like making a vow before the messenger of God. When that vow is made, it can not be taken back. Claiming that an uttered vow was a mistake is not a good excuse; God will judge. Just as Goliath spoke so it happened to him. In times of your challenges, be careful, avoid too many words and when you have nothing to say, meditate on the living word of God. You are a child of God; let no sound of negativity send you packing from your ground. Goliath, by the sound of his mouth, he was sent packing from the face of the earth and not just his ground of battle.

Pass Me Not

August 08-06< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Pass me not

John 8:58-59, 9:1-2

John 8:59, ÒThen they took stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.Ó  Is there any way in your life you have been throwing stones at Jesus? Years ago, they threw stones and He vacated the temple, He hid Himself from them, and He passed by the persecutors. You have confessed Christ but your confession cannot be confirmed in the life that you are living. Are you throwing stones at Him? Consider yourself as one of those that were throwing stones at Jesus. In the next chapter, John 9:1, ÒNow Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.Ó He saw the blind and no stone was thrown at Him, He could not walk away from the needy one. Which side are you? Are you at the destructive end or receiving end? Ask God for His grace to deliver you to the receiving end. Ask God that you will no longer live a deceptive life. You have confessed Jesus but Jesus cannot be confirmed in your life. As long as you continue to live that deceptive life, He will be forced to continue in His passing by. He came to give sight to those that cannot see. His coming was not meant for destruction but deliverance. He came to give hope to those that have lost hope. Switch to the receiving end and He will not pass by you, He will visit you.

Beauty Of The Lord

Beauty of the LORD< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Psalm 90:13-17

If there is anything you desire this day, take it to the LORD in prayer. Ask God for His beauty to be upon you. Psalm 90:17, ÒAnd let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.Ó Without doubt, the beauty of the LORD is light. 1 Timothy 6:16, ÒWho alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power, Amen.Ó What could be seen is the light. When that light is on you, every work or attempt of darkness will be exposed. When His beauty is on you, there will be a way where there is no way. But not so for others who cannot see because of the darkness that is upon them. When that light is upon you, it will bring you closer to God, and that will bring revelation to you in all your work. Do you sincerely desire the beauty of the LORD our God to be upon you? Is the work of your hand facing challenges of different magnitudes? Ask Him with a heart of expectation. The Psalmist asked because he wanted the work of his hand to be established. He is a faithful God and He will give you the desire of your heartÉif your desire can be found in Him.

Ahead

Ahead< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

1 Kings < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>18:41-46

Have you always been behind in every pursuit you engage in? Do you wonder if you will ever be ahead? Have you actually been able to identify whether you are behind or ahead in your journey? You can make a change in your position with regards to your walk in life. Ask God. Ask Him expectantly, and not without any expectation. Ask for the hand of God. The hand of God is victory. It is deliverance and it will never fail. Elijah acknowledged the hand of God when it came upon him for a quick victory. 1 Kings 18:46, ÒThen the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.Ó  There is a wise saying that states, ÒIt is only the child that have is hands lifted up that will receive a lifting hand from above.Ó If you will lift up your voice unto God and ask Him for a lift, you can be lifted up by the great and mighty hand. When He lifts you up, you will run ahead in every ground you have been running behind. His hand will be upon you. Strength will come from above and His hand will enable you to run and not be weary. He is a faithful God.
