Light Of God

Light of God< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Psalm 119:129-136, John 8:12, 14:6,

Ask God that whatever is causing His word not to burn in you should cease this day. Whenever the word of God enters, and begins to burn, light will be generated. The light of God is what you need in this world that is clouded by darkness. With the light of God in you, direction will have its way; clarity will be your portion. Where men are falling, you will stand; where there is lack, you will see and not go through it. Anything that comes without a price is cheap. The light of man will not carry you through because the worldÕs world is cheap. The word of the world is like striking a match which blows off at slightest hiss of the wind. To have a light that is unquenchable by wind or storm, you have to play your part in what has been paid on the cross. It will cost you to spend time in the scripture. Consider spending time before Him on a consistent basis. Running helter-skelter will never help you. Psalm 119:130, ÒThe entrance of the word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.Ó How can the word enter without spending time studying it? Also, the heart has to be simple enough for the word to generate light. Jesus is the way; the truth; and the life. What is the state of your heart? Let the word of God reign over your life; not the word of the world.

Storm

Storm< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Jonah1:1-17

Jonah fled the presence of the LORD and entered into a storm. Do you wonder how you get yourself into your present storm? Has the LORD been talking to you while you are walking away from Him? Has He been giving you some directions while you have been busy listening to the dictates of your heart? Jeremiah 17:9, ÒThe heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?Ó How can God speak and not be honored? When you choose to do it your own way or at your own time, you will miss His assignment and end up in a storm. Jonah 1:1-3, ÒNow the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Ôarise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it: for their wickedness has come up before Me,Õ but Jonah arose and flee to Tarnish from the presence of the LORD, he went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.Ó The word of God is God. When His word came to Jonah, Jonah responded by moving in the direction of the dictate of his heart. He did not obey the presence of God. He ended up in a great storm. God gave him another chance because the storm did not take his life. He could have died. Do you know if you are going to survive your storm, or not? Lift your voice to Him ask Him to give you another chance.

Which Way?

Which way?< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Matthew7:13-23

Matthew 7:13-14, ÒEnter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it; because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.Ó What does that say to you as a person? Two things need to be identified here: multitude, and avoidance of difficulty. If you are the type of believer that loves to flow with the crowd, you have missed it. It does not matter where you are in the journey of life, when you begin to flow with the crowd, you will flood your journey, and it will cost you not to get to your expected end. With God on your side, you wonÕt need multiple directions; you donÕt need to impress man or gain manÕs attention. In attempting to get to your final destination, give God your entire attention, and put crowd into detention. Many believers today would love to have every step of their journey to be without difficulty. Most would love to give a sacrifice that does not cost anything. It always doesnÕt work like that. Keep in mind that you will have to pay a price. The gate is too narrow for so many to pass through at the same time. As a result of the size of the gate, many are turning to the broad gate. Many want to avoid any difficulty, and enjoy smooth ride. Watch out, when it becomes too smooth with no hitch and no challenges, you might be heading in the same direction with the evil one. When you begin to experience challenges, keep your focus on Him; you will get there. Which way? It is definitely not the way of the multitude.

Empty Pride

Empty Pride< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

2Kings 5:1-15

His first name is Naaman, but his middle name should be ÒEmpty PrideÓ. He was sent to Elisha for healing 2Kings 5:1, ÒNow Naaman, commander of the army of the king of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper.Ó His great and honorable status was in the eyes of his master, not in the eyes of his affliction (leprosy). NaamanÕs status does not extend to Elisha, or the Jordan River. What about you? Are you Naaman-ing yourself in any way? All that the empty commander needed was to go and take a dive seven times in the Jordan River, and wipe off the ÔbutÕ in his life. 2Kings5:1,1 ÒNaaman became furious, and went away and said, Ôindeed, I said to myself, He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.ÕÕÕ As a leper, he could have been a beggar on the street. A wise saying states, ÒBeggars are not choosers.Ó His status was a cloud to him; he could not see beyond his nose. When your shoulder is beginning to rise above your head, it is an indication that you have moved to a ground of self destruction. Pride is a terrible cancer, and it will deny your deliverance; destruction will have its reign. Proverbs 16:18, ÒPride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.Ó Watch out, you have not arrived until the King of Kings arrives to take over for everlasting life.

The Way

The Way< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Psalms25, John14:1-7

Which way are you taking? When you take the right way you will end up right. Also, when you take the wrong way, you will end up wrong. You have to choose one way because you cannot walk two ways at the same time. The only reason why you have constantly end up at a dead end is the wrong way. The wrong way is not true; it is fake, deception, and manipulation. God is God and He alone knows your heart, and the steps you are taking. Today if you will switch to the true way, He will enter and dwell with you. John 14:6, ÒJesus said to him, ÔI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Me.ÕÕÕ Like Moses, David never lost the consciousness of asking for GodÕs way. In Psa.25:7, David asked show me Your ways, O lord; Teach me Your paths. In His way there is deliverance and there is preservation and once that is in place in the life of a man, victory is in place over all issues of life. Among the ways you want to consider in remaining and maintaining yourself in His way, is for you to begin to desire of the Lord a dwelling in His presence.
