Meditation

Joshua 1:1-9

The word of God encourages meditation not memorization. When you memorize it will mesmerize (Hypnotize-a sleep like condition) you. When you memorize it cannot be activated in time of need. It stays on you like a decoration and it lacks power to produce results. However, when you meditate as the word of God required, it will become a power source for you and produce results on a consistent basis. Meditation is a labor; you have to work the word before it works for you. Josh.1:8 this book of law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have a good success. Can you see the labor that is required? Is it worth it? Absolutely it is more than worth it. What meditation does is make you spend your whole time (day and night) thinking the word; in whatever you are doing so you are able to observe the word. Observation will give you an eye to see clearly in the word. Clarity of seeing will enable you to do according to what the word is saying. In your doing of the word, GodÕs prosperity and good success (not just the success of this world) will become you. Ask God for understanding of His word and you will have a knowing-edge (Knowledge) over confronting situations in your world.

Peace Of God

Peace of God< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Phil.4:4-9

Ask God for the grace, that this month of June will be your month of peace of God.

Praying and asking God for peace could be an empty prayer. Peace of God in the life of a believer does not happen by accident and it will not happen by accident. The word of God gave a clear direction as to how peace of God takes its place in the life of a believer. When anxiousness is dealt with as required by the word of God, then peace will have its way.  Phil.4:6,7  be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  The source for peace is clear and direct, it requires no further interpretation. Your tears in prayer will not bring that peace but getting rid of anxiousness by heeding to the word of God will lead you into the peace of God. Address your absence of peace; get out of groaning and crying unto God in your asking for peace that surpasses all. Get rid of anxiousness, enter into prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving and let your request be made known and God will honor His word, if you will harbor yourself in His word.

Wrong Way

Wrong way

Jer.7: 21-24, 17:9-10

Which way have you been taken in your journey? Are you going forward or backward? As a child of the most high God, have you thought about the reason why you have been going backward instead of forward? It could have been that you have been following the dictates of your heart. Jer.7:24 say ÒYet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backwards and not forward. The word of God is true and alive. Take to the word of God and it will see you through in the journey of life. You can not afford to continue taking counsels and dictates from your heart. It will only lead you in a wrong way. The word says the heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; who can know it? (Jer.17:9) Why should a God fearing person want to keep going back to the heart for counsels and dictates? It will lead to wrong way. Take all of your counsels to the Lord in prayer; He alone is the living God. Avoid the wrong way and take on to the right way let God guide and lead you.

God’S Filling

GodÕs filling

Acts 5:1-11

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostlesÕ feet. What a blatant lie? Are you heading in the same direction? God can not be faked; you can only fail yourself by your faking. Both husband and wife were no strangers to the fellowship of the saints. They knew the role and the rule that was involved but they choose to rule it out. They must have been lying but the lying caught up with them and they were cut off from life. Satan filled their heart and they lied to the Holy Spirit (V.3). Any time the heart of a believer is empty, Satan will fill it up. The bible describes him as a father of lie. Have you been feeding on the word of God enough to avoid SatanÕs filling? To avoid him, there has to be feeding and being fed by the word of God. Your regular few minutesÕ routine of spending time on the scripture will not help. Set yourself up in spending time in the word; ask God to fill every part of you that could be hibernation for the chief of all lies. LORD, have mercy.

Purpose

Purpose

Daniel 1:8-16, 6: 16-21

The church in < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Jerusalem sent Barnabas to Antioch. He got to Antioch and he was glad with what he saw. He encouraged them all that with the purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. Having a purposed heart for God is not a protection from tribulation. It is evident that most of all that were identified in the scripture that purposed for the Lord were also purposed by the devil for destruction. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the kingÕs delicacies nor with wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that might he not defile himself (Dan.1:8). Being purposeful does not deliver him from tribulation but only made a way for Daniel to prevail during the time of tribulation. Are you having a purpose heart for the Lord while tribulation is banging on you? Be encouraged, God is on your side and He will see you through. You are His and He will never forsake any one that purposes for Him.
