Entrance Of The Word

Entrance of the Word

Gen.1:1-31, Jer.10:12, Ps.119:130

In the book of Genesis chapter 1 through 31, it is clear that everything that was made by God was made through the word of God. In v.3 it is written, then God said, ÒLet there be lightÓ and there was light. All of His creations were by Him saying it into being. Jer.10:12 He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion. Can you see that the word of God is His power; the word of God is His wisdom? Do you carry the word in you? As a claimed born again Christian, do you spend time on the word of God? The word of God is power and it is wisdom. Ps. 119:130, the entrance of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Is the word entering? In this world that is full of all kinds of darkness, you will need the word of God to pass through. Ask God to fill you with the knowledge of the word. It is the amount of the word of God that you are carrying that will determine the brightness of His light in your life. Stop deceiving yourself, empower yourself; spend more time on the word and be a winner.

Temptation

Temptation

2Sam.11:1-27

Whenever you loose focus in GodÕs assignment for your life, you will gain temptation. King David, having fought successful battles against all his surrounding enemies, he lost focus. He was caught with a temptation that almost terminated all that the LORD anointed him for. 2Sam.11-1 It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to do battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of  Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem. David, remaining where he was not supposed to be, he abandoned his purpose. His purpose was to be a leader for the people of God. David was to be leading them to war but temptation declared war on him. When you loose focus on GodÕs calling in your life, you will shift focus to your own personal agenda. You can not serve two masters. You cannot serve yourself and serve God at the same time. It does not matter how long you have been in the Lord nor does it matter the position you are holding in the house of God. Have you left yourself opened up to temptation in any area of your calling? Focus on your assignment; do not allow your location take away you focus.

Stand

Stand

IKing17:1-8,

1King:17:1 and Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, ÒAs the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years except at my word. What is your stand in the LORD God of Israel? Are you standing with both legs or are you standing with one leg? The truth in the word of God is, if you are not taking a stand in Him, the devil will make you sit outside of the LORD God of Israel. Elijah knew what he was doing; he knew His God and he took his stand. God answered ElijahÕs request. Do you wonder what it takes to be able to declare your stand before God? Ps24:3 who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? V.4 he who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. Do you match any of the above requirements that will cause man to be able to declare his stand in the LORD? Ask the LORD God today, to impact you with a pure heart, clean Hands that will enable you to take a stand where there is a need for.

Daily Devotional: “Go”

ÒGoÓ

1Sam.17:31-37

King SaulÕs prayer for David was just in one word, and heaven answered on behalf of David. Before the prayer, King Saul had tried to persuade David not to go. He explained to David that as a youth, he could not possibly take on a giant (not just a giant but a warrior giant from his youth). David, knowing what God has done in his life could not accept the KingÕs advice but maintained his ground of testimony. Has He done anything for you that make you think or know that He will not fail? If not, looking at the things He created just by His word will cause you to trust on God. David went further pleading his case.1Sam17:36, your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defiled the armies of the living God.V.37 moreover, David said, ÒThe LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.Ó And Saul said to David, ÒGo, and the LORD be with you!Ó David had testimony and confession of faith; Saul provoked the hand of God just by a word of prayer and David was a winner. Do you have testimony that you can meditate on? Go ahead let Him know the greatness of what He has done and He will be provoked to bring to pass your victory that is in sight.

Is He In You

Is He in you?

1Sam.17:38-45, 1Jh. 4:4

When David was to go and take on Goliath in battle, King Saul clothed David with his armor and all of his war gear. David could not walk with what was put on him and he requested for all to be removed. He then went back to his staff, five smooth stones from the brook and his slings. He approached Goliath; Goliath disdained him; for he was only a youth, coming to fight him with sticks. 1Sam.17:43, so the Philistine (Goliath) said to David, ÒCome to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!Ó David was not afraid and GoliathÕs comment and size was not enough to cause doubt of what the LORD God can do. David had a testimony that kept him going and not looking back from the giant task, giant harassment, and the giant intimidator that happened to be on his way to where the LORD God of hosts was taking him. Is God taking you somewhere? Yes He has a destination for you and me. Just like David, God is taking us to promise land. In v.45 David responded Òyou come to me with a sword, with a spear and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defiled. David went with a weapon that is greater than the world, weapon that Goliath could not see with the physical eyes. He went with the word of God. Is the word in you? 1Jh.4:4 you are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Is He in you? If He is in you, use Him and you will surely overcome just like David did.
