With All…

With all…

Det.4:28-30, 6:4-6, Is.57:13

Who do you trust or where do you place your trust? As a believer, can you answer this question by saying you trust in the LORD God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob?  Det.6:5 you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. How can you determine if you love Him the way He has requested? To love God is to serve God. For a moment, recount your services unto Him. You know there are two parts to serving God: the part that everyone around you can see how you serve in the church; the part is the one that only God sees what you do and how you serve Him. You know your heart and God knows it more than you know your own heart. When you claim to love God as requested by Him, you will serve Him with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Without seeking to know who the LORD is and what He can do, it is impossible to trust in him. God wants His children to trust Him. Is. 57:13 “But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My holy mountain.” Ask God to help you in trusting Him with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength.

Persistency

Persistency

1Sam.1-28, Lk.11:5-13, 18:1-8

Elkanah, his two wives (Hannah and Peninnah), PeninahÕs children, Hannah had no children, went every year to Shiloh. They went  yearly to worship and sacrifice to God. Despite the fact that Hannah had no children, she went with them always. In her going to worship and sacrifice, there was bareness and discouragement because of provocation from Peninnah.1Sam.1:6, 7 and her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the Lord had closed her womb. V.7, so it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord, that she provoked her; therefore she wept and did not eat. Is there any provocation in your life? Be persistent. Hannah could have withdrawn from yearly journey to Shiloh, she did not. Hannah kept on going and going. In the parable of the woman and the judge, Lk.18:1, Jesus spoke a parable to them that men always ought to pray and not lose heart. In Lk.11:8, in the parable of the persistent friend, Jesus also emphasized the need for persistency in time of waiting in expectation. Your own situation is not too much for Jesus to handle and it is never too late in GodÕs calendar. Keep on keep going to worship and sacrifice to God, He will answer you.

Choice

Choice

Mk.10:48-52

So many have heard Jesus, so many are still hearing but they choose to remain blind. When Jesus came to Jericho, the blind man Bartimaeus did not catch the word. As Jesus went out with His disciples, it was then that Bartimaeus heard Jesus. Mk.10:47 and when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, ÒJesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!Ó Lord knows how many times you have heard the word of God concerning you situation, but you remained quiet and blind. When you are quiet your miracle will be quiet. It takes only the one that acknowledges his or her blindness that will raise his or her voice and call for help. Do you think you have a need for help? Have you been crying out for help when you hear His voice? Some are too quiet to be victorious. Are you too quiet and not know that you have a need to see the situation in your life? Today, if you will lift up your voice and cry out loud to the same Jesus that visited blind Bartimaeus, He will attend to you.

Wear And Tear

Wear and tear

Lk.10:38-42

Martha welcomed Jesus into her house. She was busy serving the Lord while her sister called Mary sat at JesusÕ feet and heard His word. Martha did not have problem inviting Jesus into her heart (house) just like many have accepted Jesus. MarthaÕs problem was distraction. Her service was distracted and she could not get the word. She was serving Jesus but she failed to serve in the Lord. It is possible to serve the Lord and miss serving in Him. Luke 10:40 but Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ÒLord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.Ó V.41, and Jesus answered and said to her ÒMartha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. A believer serving the Lord and not serving in Him will become worried and troubled like Martha. Are you only serving Him without serving in Him? Worrying and being troubled is what you have to watch out for. Worry and trouble will wear and tear on you. It is not possible for one that serves in the Lord to be worried or troubled. Do not just serve Him, serve in Him.

It Is Well

It is well

2King4:8-37

The Shunammite woman had no child and husband was old. Elisha prayed for her and she had a son. After a while, the son was sick and he was pronounced dead. The Shunammite woman did not make any noise and there was no evidence of agonizing. When she was set to go and look for Elisha, the husband wanted to know where she was going but she replied that Òit is well.Ó 2King4:25 and so she departed and went to man of God at Mount Carmel. So it was when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to his servant Gehazi ÒLook, the Shunammite woman! V.26, ÒPlease run to her, and say to her, ÔIs it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with your child?ÕÓ And she answered, ÒIt is well.Ó The Shunammite woman confessed positive all through her agony. Most times, a consistent confession of positive will terminate every confronting negative issue. Positive confession is a demonstration of faith. There is nothing that pleases God like having faith in Him. Heb.11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. She went to the man of God; she was diligent in her confession; she received her miracle because, her son came back to life. What is the issue in your life? Confess positive if you believe. Say it, keep on saying it, till you see itÉit is well with your soul today, in Jesus name.
