Wake Up

Wake up

Lk.22:39-46, Ecc.3:1-8

Ask God to wake you up from every area of your life that sleep have kept you away from praying. The book of Ecclesiastes 3:1 mentioned that, to everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven. Instead of you to be praying, you are sleeping a sorrow sleep. Jesus and some of His disciples went to pray on Mount Gethsemane. At the time of prayer Jesus rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow (Luke22:45). How is your prayer life? Apart from your bed time and the time for getting out early for your work, do you have a set time for going before the Lord in prayer? The only excuse is, there will be no excuse from the consequence of not spending a set time in prayer. There is a need for increase in spending time or having a set time for prayer, because of the days we are living. 1Peter4:7 mentioned that the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. If you will rise from sleep and increase in prayer, the tendency of you entering into temptation will be out of your journey of faith. Be awake from sorrow sleep, the bridegroom will definitely come and He will not delay forever.

Multitude

Multitude

Luke 19:1-10

What role is multitude(crowd) playing in your life? Multitude could be your hindrance. If you let multitude, it will not let you get to where the Lord has destined for you. Multitude will ridicule you, discourage you, delay you and deny you from rising above your circumstances. Remember Zacchaeus? A tax collector, short in person and wanted to see Jesus in the midst of multitude. He knew that multitude will deny him so he ran ahead in his attempt to deny multitude from denying him.  Luke 19:4 mentioned that he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. Do you have any kind of limitations that will cause you to miss your miracle in Christ Jesus? If you have been running to get ahead of the crowd and your miracle is still being hindered, it is time that you try climbing. Zacchaeus, needed more than running not to miss Jesus so he climbed the tree and Jesus invited Himself into ZacchaeusÕ house. Jesus gave more than Zaccaehus would have asked for, He went into his house. This year, move ahead of multitude, deny them and God will convert your entire obstacle into miracle.

Crossover

Crossover

Mark 4:35-41

Mark 4:35, on the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, ÒLet us cross over to the other side.Ó V.36, now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. It is a new day, a new week, a new month and a new year. Are you crossing over with Jesus in your boat or you are crossing over with Jesus out of your boat? For you to cross over, you will have to put every representative of multitudes in your life behind. Let multitude stay behind and do not bring them into your new day, week, month and year. Multitudes are agent of discouragement, denial and hindrance. When Jesus invited the disciples for cross over, there was a need to leave the multitude behind. The journey is long, and there will be windstorm; journey can also be destructive and life consuming. You have to let the multitude in your life out of your journey for the new beginning. In your last year, multitudes were nothing good but evil. Multitudes are not predictable in terms of where they will be hiding but Jesus is very predictableÉHe will not fail you in this New Year. Accept His invitation; cross over with Him and He will see you through.

Get Serious

Get serious

2Samuel24:1-25

When it cost nothing, it will worth nothing. What is it costing you in offering your service unto God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength? If your service unto God is not costing you anything, there is a need for self examination. Also, it is not possible for you not to know that it does not cost you. If it is costing you and you do not know, you still need a self examination. There is a price to be paid for everything that you get. Thank God we do not have to pay money for salvation; money to pay for an answered prayer; or money for His goodness and mercy. Jesus paid it all on the cross and we have to pave it through to the cross. In 2Sam.24:24, King David said to Araunah, ÒNo, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offering to the LORD my God with that which costs me nothing.Ó So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. The cost that God expects from His children is commitment. Any thing short of commitment is convenience and it might not count before God. If your offering of service is with convenience, there is a need to allow commitment take over. If it cost nothing; it will worth nothing. Get serious in the LORD.

Work The Works

Work the works

John 6:26-29

As you begin to set your eyes on the coming year, have you thought about what you will have to do to work the works of God? He has given life for a reason and He wants to be glorified. He alone was God; He alone is God; and He alone will be God from now till everlasting. The liar, Satan likes it or not, the LORD is God. Do you want to take His work serious in the coming year? When you take Him serious in all that He has assigned you, He will take you seriously that neither weapon nor gates of hell will prevail in your life. Indeed you will be His church, built by Him and gates of hell will not prevail. In John 6:28, 29 then they said to Him, ÒWhat shall we do, that we may work the works of God?Ó Jesus answered and said to them ÒThis is the work of God that you believe in Him whom He sent.Ó You do not believe with mouth, you believe by behaving His word. Brother, do not delay in your working the works or else you will be deleted. Sister, do not waste time in your working the works or else you will become wasted. There is an appointed time in all that should be done for the One who sent us. Jesus said in Jh.9:4, I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. Now is the time for you to believe because what you receive will determine what you believe, and what you believe will determine what you become for the glory of God. Be a believer and live for the glory of God.
