Daily Devotionjust A Word

Just a word

John11:43-44,

You are still struggling, you are constantly overwhelmed, and you have not got it because you are not getting it from the word. For so long you have be constant and conversant with the word of God. Your problem is, the word is yet to enter you. The word of God is true and life. Indeed, it has not been entering you to deliver its purpose in your life. Ps.107:20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. For four days, Lazarus was dead; he was smelling, and no way in medical understanding for Lazarus to have life again. When the healing healer steps into the situation, Lazarus came back from death.  Jh.11:43 said, He cried out with a loud voice, ÒLazarus, come forth!Ó And he who had died came out of bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, loose him, and let him go.Ó  The issue that is causing you to struggleÉhuff and puffÉconstantly overwhelmed is far from taking your life. Just a word gave life back to Lazarus. Take the word as life not as letter because the word gives life but the letter kills (1Cor.3:6). The same word that sounded in direction of Lazarus will terminate your entire struggle. When the word of God sound in your direction, open up to the word of God and receive the word. The word will work for you. Just a word of God will terminate your entire struggle.

Believe

Believe

Mark16:16-18,

There is no way to believe in God if the word is not entering. It is documented in Ps.119:130, the entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Is your heart simple? If your heart is not simple it must be stony and it could that, the word is not yet entering. Take note that your year of claiming Christianity does not have anything to do with the word entering you. There is a huge difference in the word entering you and passing through you. Do you actually believe in Him that was born, wrapped in swaddling cloths and laid in a manger, Him that came to die for our sin? If you believe Him, you will behave Him. If your behavior does not demonstrate your believe you are yet to believe Him. You cannot believe in God and be lying, deceptive and manipulative. The word of God does not lie; it is man that lies when they claim to have believed. It is not possible to believe and not have the signs in following you. He said in Mark 16:17 Òand these signs shall follow those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.Ó What you are receiving today is that, it is not evidential in your life style that you believe in Him. It is time to stop wasting time being a religious person. When you begin to take the word of God serious, the world will take you serious because the signs will be following you. Anything or anyone causing you not to believe as it should be, will loose its grip in your life, in Jesus name.

Soul Winner

Soul winner

John 1:1-16

John 1:1, 2 says in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. In verse 14 of the same chapter, it says, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus is the living Word of God. He was the one wrapped in swaddling cloths and laid in a manger. During this season of celebration of the birth of Jesus, there is a need for His proclamation. Proclaiming Jesus is the biggest assignment for the celebrants of His birth. As a believer, are you conscious of the need and importance of going out of your conveniences into a commitment, proclaiming the Lord Jesus Christ? Among the things the shepherds did when they saw Him, was going and proclaiming Him. Lk.2:17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. Reaching out and winning soul is a great combination that will always send heaven into celebration. Have you been reaching out proclaiming the birth of Jesus? Serving God goes beyond coming to church on Sundays, Saturdays or attending fellowship. Commit your way unto the Lord and He will strengthen and see you through in His calling. Be a soul winner for the Lord.

Reason For Hope

Reason for hope

Matt.2:16, Lk.2:1-7, Rm.12:12

Joseph and Mary, when they got to Bethlehem, there was no inn for the Lord to be delivered. People were careless and no one could receive the fact that savior of the Lord was about to be delivered inside their inn. As filled up as the inn was, no one could recognize Him. Lk.2:7 and she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. After His birth in a manger, there was no better cloth to wrap the Lord of Lords. The bible recorded that Jesus was wrapped with a swaddling cloths. Above all, He was laid in a manger; He came at an appointed time and appointed location.  His coming is the reason for hope. Also, His coming is the reason for joy. Jesus came against all kinds of obstacles such as discouragement and destruction. Despite all, there was no record of complain by Joseph or Mary. The celebration of His birth should be the preparation for His coming back. Do you have hope or joy because of the name of Jesus? Rm.12-12 prescribed that we should rejoice in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer. As you have joined in the celebration of the birth of Jesus, ask God to locate you and preserve you for salvation when the trumpet sounds.

Praise With Understanding

Praise with understanding

John10:7-21, Ps.47:7,

Christmas carol song has filled the air in the past one month. To some it is has meaning, while it does not have meaning to some. A praise worship song goes like thisÉ ÒLet the weak say I am strong, let the poor say I am rich, because of what the Lord has doneÓ. If you have been singing that song with no understanding, you are yet to gain an edge over your weaknesses and lack. As a believer, it is important to sing your praises with understanding. Ps.47:7 For God is the King of all the earth: Sing praises with understanding. That song says Òbecause of what the Lord has doneÓ He sent His beloved Son to come and give us life. Jesus Himself confirms in Jh10:10 ÒThe thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they have it more abundantly. It is more of religion to the singers of Christmas carol song when the understanding of His coming is meaningless. The purpose of His coming is to give us hope and when there is hope, there is life. Today, ask God to open your understanding to the Christmas gift of Christ.
