Step

Step

1Sam. 20: 1-6, 27:1, Psalm 119:165

Ask God this day for guidance in every step that you take in going or in coming. A Step is very crucial in this journey and race of life. When a wrong step is taken, one is bounded to fall. There is the physical falling and there is the spiritual falling. In both of the fallings death can reign. David mentioned (in 1Sam. 20:3) that there is a step between him and death. Indeed, the distance between life and death is just one step. It could be physical or spiritual death. Brethren, which step are you taking in every direction of your journey? Are you experiencing any area that you have fallen? Seek GodÕs face and do not remain grounded. The remedy to maintain your stand is to avoid stumbling. To avoid stumbling, ask God to help you fall in love with His commandment. Psalm 119:165 says great peace have those who love Your law. And nothing causes them to stumble. Fall in love with the law of God and nothing will cause you to stumble; you will remain standing in your entire journey.

Desire

Desire

Eccl. 12:13, Ps. 119:1-2,  Matt.6:33

What do you desire in the Lord? What ever you desire let it be heaven based. He said in Matt. 6:33 ÒBut seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Seek to fear God. It is written in Ecc12:13, the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandment for this is manÕs all. To fear God will generate your trust in Him. To keep His commandment will put you on the ground of obedience. The word says that fear and keeping GodÕs commandment is manÕs all. That means there is no other option or way to live for God but to fear His holy name and obey His living word. His testimonies should generate fear and reason to be obedient. No wonder the Psalmist says in Ps.119:1-2, blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart. You cannot seek Him with the whole heart if you do not desire for Him to fill you. Whatever you desire; He will deposit it. It is not by might or determination; it is all by His grace. God help us to desire only for you.

God’S Glory

GodÕs Glory

1Sam. 17: 20-58

When David approached Goliath it was with burden. The burden was that of defilement that Goliath has brought to the people of God. When GodÕs children are defiled, His name is also defiled. 1Sam. 17:26 David Òasked who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?Ó As one that is called of God; as one that is enjoying the benefit of Calvary; as one that goes to church on a regular basis; as one that was raised to know to call on the name of God; is there anyway that you have been defying the name of the living God? Does it provoke you whenever you witness where the name of the living God is being defied? David took on Goliath not because of financial need; not because of any personal gain; He wanted the name of God to be glorified. He had an uncommon zeal to have GodÕs name elevated. God has no choice but to elevate David in an uncommon way. He became huge because GodÕs glory was huge to him. Forget self in all that you do. Give it up to God and He will not give up on you. He did not give up on David. This day, ask God to impart you with the zeal for his name.

No Turning

No turning

1Sam. 9:21, 11:6, 13:11, 15: 10-35

It is a great disaster when God withdraw His spirit in the life of one that has always been carrying GodÕs spirit. King Saul, a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel, from the least of all the families of the tribe became the first King over the children of Israel. On his way looking for a donkey he found Gods assignment. He turned to look to God for a solution through GodÕs prophet. Ask God to return you in every area that you have turned away from Him. In his looking, he found GodÕs assignment. An assignment backed with the power of God to excel. In the course of GodÕs assignment, he lost focus. A man ordained of God and backed by Samuel a prophet of God. Despite all the forces that were in place for him, he could not maintain focus. When people scattered he also scattered; God required complete obedience and he gave half obedience. God regretted over the calling in SaulÕs life. Have you shifted focus? It is not how long you have been answering or keeping focus on Him that will count. It is how you continue in keeping focus. If God has called you, keep focus on Him and let there be no other turning from Him. God will not regret His calling in your life in Jesus name.

Please Him

Please Him

Acts Chap. 3, Heb.11:6

Indeed and in truth, without faith it is impossible to please God. A certain lame man was redirected by Peter and John to look. In his looking there was attention with expectation to receive healing. Attention with expectation to receive requires eyes, ear and a heart that is ready to receive. It is through the mentioned parts of the body that faith will pass through and deliver healing. This is the reason why Acts. 3:16 says the faith which pass through Him has given him (the lame man) this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. Are you going to allow this faith to pass through you this day? Make yourself available by looking at Him; give Him all your attention and begin to expect to receive from Him. The same God that was yesterday is the same today and forever. He is still in the business of answering prayer. In every situation that has kept you grounded, I pray that God will give you perfect soundness in the presence of all.
