DO NOT BE IGNORANT

FAITH CAPSULE: Do not ignore the word of God to avoid glorious destiny.

Luke 19: 1-10, Acts 16:16-40

Engaging the instructions of God is engaging in a glorious destiny.
Also, ignoring or snubbing the instruction of God is taking a position to become substituted for the ordained position of God for life.
The word of God instructed all to keep His Spirit burning and alive in life when it states, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Jesus for you Do not quench the Spirit.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-19)
The word of God makes all know joy is what gives access to the presence of God.
Psalm 16:11 buttresses, “…in the presence of God is fullness of joy.”
The apostle Paul reiterated in Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”
God resides in a joyful environment.
The case of Zacchaeus:
In the seeking of Jesus, Zacchaeus gained the attention of Jesus, “…When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” (Luke 19:5)
Just like He offered Zacchaeus to stay at his house, it is the same that He will respond the same to one as Zacchaeus responded.
The Bible records the response of Zacchaeus, “So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.” (Luke 19:6)
Can you respond to Him joyfully when He comes to locate you at your sycamore tree?
The Bible is not telling all for the fun of it that Zacchaeus received Him joyfully, but it is telling all to observe to do what the word says.
The calling attention of God is to be without ceasing, not only when there is a need.
A prayer-less life is with prevail-less life, while a prayerful life provokes prevailing life.
Paul and Silas prayed, sang, and the Holy Ghost came down.
Acts 16: 25-26, “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.”
Above all, giving thanks is the ultimate because the word records it as the will of God in Christ Jesus.
Give God thanks in all things and for all things to the glory of God.
Most importantly, thanksgiving will only flow where there is a flow of joy.
The Spirit of God will respond to one with joy by demonstrating His presence of God.
The word of God is true to the core if you will incorporate yourself in the word.

Prayer for today: Ask to constantly engage His word as instructed in the pages of the Bible.

THINK

FAITH CAPSULE: One not thinking of the word of God is thinking outside of God.

Exodus 33

Do not allow yourself to become limited by your thoughts but think to have the word of God reign and rule over your entire situation.
Isaiah 55:8-9 documents, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Encased in His thoughts are His ways.
The way of God is the word of God.
The word of God is His presence.
Take to the word of God that is true to perform and to perfect; His word is mighty.
One not thinking of the word of God is thinking outside of God.
What are you thinking?
One that is of self-thought is demonstrating to be in charge of self.
God testify being in charge of all.
The word of God to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”(Jeremiah 1:5)
God knows all more than anyone knows selves and His always waiting for those who wait on Him to know His ways.
When Moses was at a point in His journey, despite his relationship with God called on God to ask for the way for him to go.
Exodus 33:12-14 records, “Then Moses said to the Lord, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this person.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
The way of God is His word, and His word is His presence.
All should know to study and do according to what God says in the pages of the Bible.
Knowing and not doing is hindering the glorious destiny.
Are you willing to commit all to the hand of God by exchanging yourself for the way of God?
God is faithful to lead and guide all in His way.
Seek God, ask for His way.
Let not your thoughts not be outside of God to avoid being led into the wicked world.
The Bible admonishes all, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable you to give yourself to His way in every area of life.

BE RESPONSIBLE

FAITH CAPSULE: Live responsibly, seeing in the word of God.

Joshua 1

Responsibility is the price to excel for the glory of God.
It is a responsibility to see in the word of God.
An acclaimed believer that does not see in the word of God will live as an unbelieving believer.
Seeing the word of God is rooted in listening to the word of God to do and receive according to the word of God.
What kind of a believer are you?
Are you seeing in the word of God?
One that meditates on the word of God day and night is hearing and hearing the word of God to see what God says in His word.
One that is meditating on the word of God is communicating with God.
Joshua 1 Joshua 1:8 states, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
Responsibility is a choice not to force one to see God continually and find God.
God is not a slave master but a saving God.
Responsibility is seeking God diligently to find God.
It is irresponsible to seek Him by mouth.
Deuteronomy 4:29 confirms, “But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
However, it is ignorance of a believer not to seek God diligently to hear, to do according to the word of God to find God.
Responsibility is to watch and pray.
The word of God repeatedly commands all to watch and pray.
One that is not watching and praying is not in a position to see God that waits to act for those waiting on Him.
Isaiah 64:4 records, “For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.”
Elisha was responsible and waited on God in prayer on behalf of his servant to see the deliverance plan of God over his life, not to become a victim of evil.
2 Kings 6:17 states, “And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
It is ignorance of a believer not to hear, see, and do according to the word of God.
What kind of a believer are you?
As a believer, let it be a way of life, a responsibility to see God with His plan for deliverance and preservation over the life of such.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled to live a life of responsibility to the glory of God.

HEARING GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Evidence of hearing Him is doing as He says.

Proverbs 19

God identifies Jesus in Luke 3:22, “And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You, I am well pleased.”
The love of God is the reason for the sent of Jesus for all freely, but the blessings He brought along to all demands condition.
Luke 9:35 records, “And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” Make it a way of life to be hearing from God.
Hearing Him by listening is the way to be blessed.
It is impossible to hear His word by listening and not doing His word.
Jesus is the wisdom of God for all that will accept Him.
He is the instruction that will make the hearer of Him live life abundantly. Jesus confirms, “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
Evidence of hearing Him is doing as He says.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, instructed at the wedding of Canaan of Galilee with the lack of wine, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
Hearing Him by listening is the source to fear of God.
Are you allowing the fear of God to reign and rule your life?
To fear God is to live life abundantly, the blessing Jesus brought to all.
Proverbs 19:23 states, “The fear of the LORD leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.
In life, the fear of God will cause the hearer to abide in satisfaction.
One with satisfaction will shut out the evil one.
Are you hearing Him enough to be satisfied, living life abundantly?
Judas, a disciple of Jesus, was positioned to hear the word day and night but yet disqualified from his calling.
Judas could not be satisfied but lust for money.
In life, the lust for money will cause anyone to become vulnerable to evil agenda.
The Bible identified the lust of Judas: “But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.” (John 12:4-6)
Judas loves money.
Judas was not satisfied.
Judas was not content but contaminated by lust for money.
1 Timothy 6:9-10 recorded the evil of satisfaction which is lust, “But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
Search your heart to know the way in life.

Prayer for today: Ask for the fear of God to reign and rule your life.

THE TRUTH

FAITH CAPSULE: Get to know the truth, not know about it.

Romans 1

One that does not know the truth, the word of God, shall not be free, as John 8:42 says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Get to know the truth of God to be free from the wicked world by living free by the word of God.
In this world, taking time out will work against listening disability to understand and know the word of God that is truth.
Will you give attention to the word of God to enter you as the light of God?
The word of God is truth, the light to journey in life.
Psalm 119:130 admonishes, “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.”
One with no word of God, the light of God, will continually experience challenges through the world of darkness.
With understanding, know the truth of God, and do not be one that suppresses the truth of God, which is the righteousness of God.
Romans 1:18 warns, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”
Romans 1:25 also points out that no one should exchange the truth of God for the lie and worship and serve the creature rather than the Creator.
Does the word speak to you?
With understanding, know that if your unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, the truth of God shall be absent in your doing to position as one against God.
Also, if the truth of God has increased through your lie or if you are one getting away with doing evil in the name of good, claiming it for God, the condemnation of God is at your door. (Romans 3:1-8)
With understanding, seek God, and know that the truth of God will preserve a believer as Psalm 40:11 records, “Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord; Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.”
With understanding, know to be full of the truth of God, to become established and not be denied before God. Proverbs 12:19 admonishes, “The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.”
With understanding, give self to the word of God as 1Thessalonians 2:13 speaks, “…because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.”
Get understanding, know it, and let God be true but everyone is a liar.
Understanding God will have a zeal for God and know that God is not partial in responding with truth to the truthful ones.
Let the desire for God become your portion, to get an understanding that will enable you not to live a life of waste but to live a life of worshiping God, the purpose He creates all for His pleasure.

Prayer for today:  Ask to be filled with understanding and know His truth.
