FAITH CAPSULE: Whatever He says, do without questioning Him.

John 2:1-12

1 Samuel 15:22 records, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? 
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.” 
Obedience to the word of God is taking a step not to despise God. 
To disobey the word is setting self up for destruction. 
Proverbs 13:13 states, “He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.” 
One that fears God obeys the word of God.
Obedience to the word of God will save life.
Also, it is the evidence of trusting in God and what He can do. 
Obeying the word of God is what marks one being faithful. 
Are you constantly or partially obeying the word of God?
John 2:1-2 states, “…there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.” 
A wedding with Jesus as a guest of honor is set not to be harassed by shame. 
Have you invited Jesus into your marriage or your life? 
Jesus was at the wedding in Cana when shame was at the wedding to discolor the wedding when there was no more wine to serve. 
At that wedding in Cana of Galilee, the mother of Jesus approached Jesus for intervention that would save the wedding celebration from shame for lack of wine. 
Jesus responded to the calling of His mother for intervention, “…Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” (John 2:4) 
The response of Jesus was not a discouragement to the mother of Jesus but encouraged the servants at the wedding with her response.
John 2:5 records, “His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 
What is in the word of God that is missing in your situation because of your disobedience? 
One will search for self to know what He commands in His word. 
Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.” (John 2:7) 
The servants were obedient to engage the command of Jesus.
Can you testify as one living by the word of God?
In the place of lack, engaging the command of God is the evidence of faith.
Jesus commanded for the waterpots to become filled with water. 
The disciples did not question Jesus for His command as they filled the waterpots to the brink. 
As the disciples obeyed, the wedding took a new turn from shame to fame for the glory of God.
Be obedient to the word of God.
Allow the command of the word of God begins to rule your life.

Prayer for today: Ask that you be constantly obedient to the command of God.

 FAITH CAPSULE: David did not run where he needed to walk because he knew his God.

Matthew 14:22-33

The anticipation of the possibility that something hostile will happen is a way of describing fear.
Fear is a deadly weapon of the devil. 
Fear does not discriminate and will strike regardless of title or age. 
Fear will always take center stage in the life of anyone when faith is off the stage. 
The devil is a deceptive one, and by him, fear often sneaks into one by way of concern or anxiety. 
The Bible warns, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7) 
David testified, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4) 
David did not run where he needed to walk because he knew his God. 
To know God is to understand that the word of God and the hand of God shall not fail over their life. 
Do you know your God to trust Him not to run where you are to walk? 
The word of God admonishes, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7) 
Are you living in anxiousness or in the abundance of the word of God that Jesus made available for all?
Once during the late hour of the day and in the middle of the water, a storm took over the journey of life for the disciples. 
The disciples were on the journey to the other side of the sea when the storm was in control, and they were in fear.
Jesus showed up to rescue the disciples. 
Matthew 14:25-26 records, “Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, ‘It is a ghost!’ And they cried out for fear.”  
With fear, Peter asked Jesus to command them to walk on the water. 
Jesus responded to the request of Peter by commanding him to come. Matthew 14:29-30 records, “…and when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, ‘Lord, save me!’  
Peter obeyed to walk on the water.
In his walk, he redirected his eyes away from Jesus to give his attention to the troubling storm, and fear took charge as his faith sank. 
Deny fear to engage faith.

Prayer for today: Ask against keeping eyes away from Jesus, the evidence of having trust and hope not to be a victim of fear.

FAITH CAPSULE: The doing of God should not be quiet but be the song of provoking His blessing.  

Psalm 119:1-64

The doings of God are His testimonies.
Sharing with others about what God has done or done in the life of one is also keeping the testimonies of God.
It is a blessing of God to keep the testimonies of God.
Psalm 119:2 states, “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies…”
Make it a way of life sharing and keeping what the Lord God has done or doing to provoke His blessing.
Testimony is a way of not keeping quiet but speaking out loud to the glory of God.
Testimony is also a way of celebrating God by speaking out loudly.
Consider being loud about the doing of God as giving jealous God His due attention. Giving God attention promotes His goodness and also provokes getting His attention. 
The Psalmist testifies, “The wicked wait for me to destroy me, but I will consider Your testimonies.” (Psalm 119:95) 
The testimonies of God are the evidence of His work. 
Testifying about God is gaining access to the power of God that is mighty to deliver. 
Testifying of God is counting on God to be having more testimonies. Above all, when one reminds God concerning the work of His hand, He will react concerning the war that confronts one. 
Once, Goliath stood against the children of Israel with verbal insults and harassment of Israel, and none of the Israelites could consider the testimonies of God that be powerful enough to deliver. David drew boldness and courage from the testimonies of God to bring down Goliath. 
David testified, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” (1 King 17:37) 
The first offensive weapon of attack was remembering and reminding all agents of opposition about what God had done in his life. 
In the face of challenges, those who trust God enough to remember what He has done will always provoke Him to gain His support.
David could not be quiet about the goodness of the doing of God over his life.
With the testimony of the hand of God in support of David, heaven moved on his behalf to silence his Goliath. 
Be loud about the doing of God to experience victory.
Psalmist could not be quiet but stated, “I cling to your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame! (Psalm 119:31) 
I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and I will not be ashamed.” (Psalm 119:46) 
As a believer, you have what it takes to be victorious. 
Today open your mouth wide, do not be quiet; testify to Him, and He will silence your enemy.
The testimonies of God are His doing to keep experiencing Him.  

Prayer for today: Ask that the testimonies shall continually be your portion.

FAITH CAPSULE: All should know that God is forever faithful to His promise. 

Deuteronomy 1

When it was time for the Israelites to possess the promise of God, it was time to move from dwelling at the mountain bottom. 
The mountain bottom could be a place of comfort that takes away the sight of potential breakthroughs in life. 
The Bible records in Deuteronomy 1:6-7, “The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.” 
One can engage in comfort and not continue the journey to possess fully. 
Are you dwelling in the wrong position long enough not to move to pursue and possess the promise of God?
When God called the Israelites out of the mountain bottom, He called their attention by stating, “See, I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land…” (Deuteronomy 1:8) 
Possessing what is yet at hand demands faith to see in the place of nothing. 
The word of God and His promises are not visible physically until one begins to see it as the truth to go after it. 
The truth of God cannot fail to deliver. 
Above all, His word does not return to Him void, but the world voids His word, not doing according to the word of God.
In addition to coming out of the mountain bottom (comfortable dwelling position) and not seeing, there shall be no room for fear and discouragement. 
Moses warned about fear and discouragement while emphasizing to the Israelites the need to see and be able to possess in Deuteronomy 1:21, “Look, the Lord your God has set the land before you; go up and possess it, as the Lord God of your fathers has spoken to you; do not fear or be discouraged.” 
Fear is the opposite of faith. 
Fear sinks faith.
Discouragement denies the ability to see in line with what God has promised.
Can you consider where you are in the promise of God for your life? 
Identify if you are at the mountain bottom or you have engaged in rising to possess.
Have you allowed fear and discouragement to take over the seat of driving your journey? 
All should know that God is forever faithful to His promise. 
Do not fail to engage and possess the promise of God.   
God called Abraham, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you. So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him and Isaac his son…” (Genesis 22:3) 
Abraham rose to the calling of God to deny the mountain bottom.
Rise up and not delay! 

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable you to rise to His promise for your life. 

 FAITH CAPSULE: Look into the word to secure your destiny in the word of God.

John 1:1-38

Are you receiving the word of God to be living by the word of God? Encased in the word of God is what it takes to escape and not be a victim of the wickedness of this world. 
One that seeks will see and be able to capture a secured future in the word of God that can not break nor return to Him void.
How do you effectively engage the word? 
Begin to see in the word of God as looking into the mirror. 
Behold the word by constantly hearing and hearing with listening ability. Begin to see and receive the word of God. 
One cannot see in the word of God and doubt. 
What you see is what you receive, and it becomes of you.  
How you see yourself in the mirror before engaging your day determines how you carry yourself through the day in all endeavors. 
One who sees self as sick first thing in the morning will walk through the day as one that is sick. 
However, one that looks in the mirror of the word of God and says to self: 
“I am looking strong and good today” is set to rule the day with uncommon energy. 
Make the word your daily routine.
Study the word continually, not only when it is convenient. 
Allow the word of God to impact your perspective of life; allow the word to be your mirror which will identify you for a breakthrough. 
Look into the mirror of the word for what you will adhere to adjust your life so that you may have great exploits in the life God has given you.
Daniel did a great exploit. Daniel 11:12 records, “Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” 
Among the secret that made Daniel a difference in his life to do great exploits was praying three times a day. 
It was testified in Daniel 6:10, “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.” 
Daniel must have seen Himself in the mirror of the word in the Psalm of David that states, “As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.” (Psalm 55:16-17) 
Look into the word to secure your destiny in the word of God.
