SERVE GOD IS WALK WITH GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Serving God continually sets one for deliverance and preservation by God.

Daniel 6

Walking with God, walking before God, or walking in Him demands to have faith in the word of God to remain continual to do according to the command of God.
With continuity, Joseph served God with faith.
Joseph walked away from the sin that no one sees but, God sees all sin.
Joseph walked with God and could not become a victim of the evil, the wickedness of the world.
At the time of his life journey, he could not yield to the pressure of the wife of his master that wanted to lay with him. Genesis 39:8-9 records, “But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?”
Joseph consciously engaged not sin before God to walk with God.
Walk with God walking away from sin.
Joseph testified his stand before God, “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God.”
Continuity should be constant with a consistent walk with God.
Daniel continually served God as his character when an unbeliever king recognized Daniel as serving the living God.
At the time of King Darius sentencing of Daniel to an untimely death in the den of lions, the king states: “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” (Daniel 6:16)
The Bible documented the loss of the sleep of King Darius, waiting for the morning hour to check the demonstration of the faith of Daniel.
Daniel 6:19-20 records, “Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”
King Darius, an unbeliever of God, recognized from Daniel living life for God consistently will not become a victim of the wicked world.
Daniel continually gives attention to God to gain deliverance and preservation attention of God.
After all night for Daniel among hungry lions, he responded to the king Darius: “Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths so that they have not hurt me because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.” (Daniel 6:21-22)
The continuity of Daniel in serving God provoked heaven to give him unfailing attention of deliverance and preservation over his life.
Learn from the word of God to gain understanding and knowledge to serve God continually.

Prayer for today: Ask that you shall become enabled, to serve God continually.

SINNING?

FAITH CAPSULE: What sinning before God can do?

Joshua 7

Covetousness is sin before God.
Keeping eyes on what the neighbors possess shall prompt an overwhelming spirit of covetousness.
Are you one with the sin of covetousness that is enough to deny your victory when victory should be answering for you?
The falling of the Israelites was the result of their sin of covetousness before God that prompted Joshua to go before God, as Joshua 7:7 records, “And Joshua said, “Alas, Lord GOD, why have You brought these people over the Jordan at all—to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Oh, that we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan!”
Joshua did not know that the sin of covetousness was the cause of their defeat in the hand of their enemy but was curious why their past situations were better than their present challenge.
Just like Joshua, are you curious about why your past is better than your present?
Is your past better than your present?
It could be that God has departed from you just as He departed from the Israelites due to their sin of covetousness.
On behalf of the Israelites, Joshua pleaded before God when God told him about the covetous sin of Achan.
The sin of covetousness by Achan counted against all the Israelites.
Achan transgressed the command of God when he stole and engaged in deception. (Joshua 7:10-11)
The sin of covetousness brought the Israelites down, not able to stand before their enemies but turned their backs before their enemies.
The character of covetousness is greedy to acquire with a strong desire for, especially material possessions.
Covetous implies inordinate desire often for the possessions that belong to another.
Covetousness is rooted in the lack of contentment.
One with covetousness is in sin against the word of God, the evidence of the lack of fear for God.
The Bible records, “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.” (Exodus 20:17)
Is covetousness your way of life?
Covetousness is critical to complicate the journey of life.
Consciously or unconsciously, the sin of covetousness before God can be the reason for the delay or derailment in the life journey.
Covetousness is a sin to deny one from obtaining promises in the word of God.
The obedience of the Israelites to the word of God was the reason for their victories over their enemies.
The disobedience of the Israelites to the word of God was the reason they lost against the people of Ai with lesser might of the military.
The Israelites assumed victory against the people of Ai, not knowing that their sin of covetousness was before God, to deny them victory.
All should know to search for self and not live a life of sin consciously or unconsciously before God.
Before God, there is no excuse for violating His word but the consequence.

Prayer for today: Ask against sin not to have a place in your life.

ABOUT THE TRUTH

FAITH CAPSULE: To know the truth is free not be in bondage.

John 8:1-32

SOME TRUTH ABOUT THE TRUTH.
Truth does not lie.
Truth is threatening.
Truth can be bitter not to be accepted.
The truth will always embarrass falsehood.
Truth is challenging but not confusing and always direct right.
Truth is not popular to gain a place in the company of liars.
Truth is not evil and yet not acceptable by the majority.
The majority cannot stand the truth to accommodate but rather stand with the lie.
Standing with the lie is accommodating, deception, deception, pacifying the devil, not to be free before God.
Is it your desire to be free?
Why not give to the truth of God as your value?
To be free, let the truth become your value.
Become an advocate for truth as your value that does not hide but stands for the truth always.
Behave your value, the evidence of believing the truth in the ways of life.
In the journey of life, be steadfast in the truth by which Christ has made all free.
Living life as an advocate of truth is the evidence of fear for God, to serve God in sincerity by putting away the gods of this world.
Remain abiding in the word of God, Keep growing in the truth of God, and live a life that is free to the glory of God.
Do you know about the truth to live a free life before God?
As an acclaimed believer, do you know the truth?
Thomas spoke on behalf of his brethren, not knowing the way.
John 14:5 records, “Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
Jesus responds to Thomas, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
Jesus is the TRUTH, the way, and the life.
Do you know Him, or do you know about Him?
When Jesus was walking through the earth, many throng Him but did not know Him.
Today, many are claiming His name but do not know Him.
Many acclaimed believers are not free because they do not know the truth.
Are you an unbelieving believer that is not free?
Many THOMASES of today does not know the truth and are not free indeed.
What does it mean to be free indeed?
Jesus declares what it means to be free, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32)
One that is living life by the word of God as a way of life is dwelling and abiding in the truth of God.
To know the truth is free, not be in the bondage of the wicked world, dwelling and abiding in the presence of God.
Dwell and abide in the word of God, the TRUTH of God.
Jesus is the Living WORD of God, the truth of God.

Prayer for today: Ask for the truth of God to be established in your life.

GOD MOVES BY HIS WORD

FAITH CAPSULE: The word of God is moveable to locate and to give direction.

Jeremiah 1

The living word of God is alive.
The word of God does not stagnate.
The word of God moves.
The word of God is move-able to locate whomever God chooses to give direction in the journey of life.
Have you experienced the visitation of the word of God and not known that the word of God visited you or still visiting you?
The word of God visited Abraham repeatedly.
Through the vision, the word of God came to Abraham with assurance for protection.
Genesis 15:1, “After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
The word of God located Abraham speaking to him with the promise for him to receive where there is a need for Abraham.
Genesis 15:4 records, “And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.”
Are you with expectation for the visitation of the word of God?
When God calls attention to wrongdoing or dissatisfaction, He goes by His word.
The wrongdoing of King Saul calls for the word of God for king Saul through Samuel.
1 Samuel 15:10-11 records, “Now the word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying, “I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments.” And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the Lord all night.”
The word of God will locate, and no one can run or hide from God.
Jonah among many that received the calling of God when the word located him with the direction in Jonah 1:1-2, “Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.”
The word of God went to locate Jonah.
Jeremiah was located by the word of God several times for direction and to receive attention, to see in the unseeable situation.
Jeremiah testifies, “the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” (Jeremiah 1:11-12)
The living word of God does not stagnate, but the word of God moved to call Jonah for direction, to call on Jeremiah to see the unseeable situation, for him to move forward not to be a failure in the assignment of God over life.
Unquestionably, with understanding, the living word of God does not need to get permission to assess anyone as God desires to.

Prayer for today: Ask that the word of God will locate you to build you for His glory.

DISTRACTION

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you avoiding devices of distraction before you?

Judges 16

Distraction is not of God but the device of the devil.
Seven things that come with distraction are:
Distraction can terminate the calling of God in the life of one.
Distraction will not announce itself to derail one with purposed agenda.
Distraction will derail or deny one with the loss of focus on God.
Distraction will assault to prevent the arrival of a man at the divine assignment of God.
Distraction can be a denial agent against a man not to walk in the Lord, to answer the calling of God.
Distraction can also be an indefinable force that will deny a man from having faith to please God.
Distraction can build up discouragement.
Samson was to be a deliverer of his people by the hand of God.
Before the birth of Samson, God sent an angel that said to his mother, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. Now, therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean. For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.” (Judges 13:3-5) Samson, from his birth, was destined to deliver his people but, distraction led to his disobedience before God.
Samson was wrong to reveal the secret of the power of God over his life to his wife (Delilah) and made him become a victim in the hand of his enemy.
Judges 16:18-20 records the distraction of Samson in the hand of Delilah, “When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart.” So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand. Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him.” The distraction of Samson was not his outsider but his insider, his wife.
What or who is your distraction?
The source of distraction for one not to live life for the glory of God can be from the closest ones with ignorant of evil occurrence.
Are you avoiding devices of distraction before you?
Continually, give attention to deny distraction of all forms.

Prayer for today: Ask for deliverance from any form of distraction.
