COMPROMISE NOT

FAITH CAPSULE: Do not compromise the word of God.

1 Samuel 2:1-36

The word of God is God. (John 1:1)
The word of God is His command.
Are you compromising the word of God?
Compromising the word of God consciously or unconsciously comes with the consequence that is not negotiable but to experience disobedience to God.
However, the peace of God that surpasses the understanding of God will answer to the consequence of disobedience with repentance.
Before God, there is no legitimate excuse not to do according to His word.
Compromising the command of God will complicate the journey of life.
Compromising God will violate man before God.
Compromising the command of God indicates a lack of fear for God and will open the door for the devil.
Proverbs 3:7 warns, “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.”
To do as commanded by God is doing good that counts before God.
One that knows to do good and not do is compromising the command of God, as a sinner before God. (James 4:17)
With understanding, all should know not to compromise the command of God in an attempt to impress no one (inside or outside of church) and not to impress any family or friends.
Commit to God, do as commanded, and not be complicated in the journey of life.
The key is to do as commanded by God.
John 2:24 points it out for all, “But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men.”
Proverbs 37:5 encourages all, “Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.”
Walking against the command of God is a track with painful consequences.
The Bible records how the children of Eli compromised the word of God that counted against Eli before God.
The response of God to the disobedience of the children of Eli was the result of not having trained them enough.
1 Samuel 2:12 records, “Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD.
Sons of Eli did not know God to actively engage themselves in the sacrifices without restraint from Eli, their father.
Compromising the word of God by the sons of Eli was recorded as a great sin before God.
Eli did not do enough to restrain the evil acts of his sons despite his position.
When God called on Samuel, at a young age, God identified to Samuel the sin and judgment of Eli, “In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end. For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.” (1 Samuel 3:12-13)
The failure of Eli not to act enough against the wrongdoing of his children counted against him and corrupted his destiny.

Prayer for today: Ask that God mark you not to be a failure.

LISTENING DISABILITY

FAITH CAPSULE: Knowledge and understanding cure listening disability.

Proverbs 2

The lack of knowledge and understanding is evidence of listening disability.
Failure will not gain an edge because of not knowing to answer, which is the lack of understanding.
Also, one without knowledge and understanding will not recognize the answer to expectation.
Lack of knowledge and understanding is the root of failure in all areas of life.
The challenge of not having knowledge and understanding is, listening disability.
Rhetorically, Jesus questions and answers to the reason for listening disability in John 8:43, “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.”
Listening disability denies understanding which makes no place for knowledge in life.
Are you spending time to gain an understanding of knowledge in the journey of life?
When there is a lack of knowledge and understanding of the Word of God, failure in the walk of life becomes inevitable.
The Word of God is for every man to hear, receive, and believe to experience victory over the challenges of the wicked world.
Jesus is the wisdom, the Word of God, the instruction for all. 1 Corinthians 1:30 records, “But of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God…”
The Word of God heals and delivers man from destruction (Psalms 107:20).
The Word of God gives life abundantly to one that will receive and believe the Word of God.
What is denies you from gaining knowledge in the Word of God?
Many are without the ability to understand the Word of God due to worldly living and unending chores; some of which include:
· Being too busy, having no time to study the Word of God.
· Preferring to take care of the activities of this world before giving self to the things of God.
· Having a dislike for the word of God that is the truth to accept.
. Living a worldly life is taking the word of God as foolishness.
Will you consider the Word of God as the evidence of His wonders?
Gain the understand and know that the Word of God is the key to retaining the presence of God.
Having an understanding and knowledge of the Word of God is the source of revelation for getting a clear and unfailing direction in the journey of life.
Today, come out of all that is keeping you away from the Word of God, the wonder of God?
The gain in the Word of God is to retain His presence for unfailing instruction, direction to walk worthy to the glory of God.
Living life for God demands understanding and the knowledge of God not to live a life of waste.

Prayer for today: Ask God to fill you with the knowledge and understanding of His word.

WITH GOOD CONSCIENCE

FAITH CAPSULE: Live life with a good conscience before God.

Galatians 5

One with a good conscience is evident in action.
God sees action.
The bible mentions, “…For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him, actions are weighed.” (1 Samuel 2:3)
What is your conscience like before God?
A good conscience before God is living obediently before God, such as a command for all to love.
1 John 4:8 says it all, “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
Do you love God?
Do you love all?
How can one love God that has never seen when is yet to love all that is seeing or seen?
Bible records, “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:14)
Among the reasons for the commandment of God for all is to love from a GOOD CONSCIENCE.
1Timothy 1:5-6 records“Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk.”
Having a good conscience is having God in conscience.
Do you carry the word of God in your heart?
Do you have a good conscience in all your ways before God?
Having love from a good conscience comes with action and is not hidden from God.
Having a good conscience is the sense of doing right but not doing wrong before God.
It is a good conscience that governs thoughts and actions.
Conscience will convict man to turn man from what is not right before God.
One with no conscience will live life in empty pride consciously or unconsciously, the evidence of no love as commanded by God.
Conscience is responsible for conviction in life.
The Pharisees demonstrated the lack of good conscience when they approached Jesus for judgment over a woman caught in the act of adultery.
Jesus ignored the request for a judgment by the Pharisees. (John 8:7)
The need for good conscience by Pharisees was evident as Jesus responds and the people reacts, “Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one…” (John 8:9)
All should strive for good conscience and not become a lack of love before God.
In Acts 24:16, Paul testifies to having need conscience, “This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.”
Think of it, if the Apostle Paul can identify the need to strive for good conscience before God, why is it that one denying self not to have a good conscience before God?

Prayer for today: Ask God for His Spirit that you consistently live life in the consciousness of doing right before Him.

EXPERIENCE GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Experience the mercy of God by living by His word.

Genesis 39

God is a merciful God that cannot be intimidated or manipulated by His creation to gain His mercy.
Mercy belongs to God.
Romans 9:14-16 testifies that mercy belongs to God, “…I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion. So, then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.”
All should understand and know to live life to gain the mercy of God, as the Bible records.
God alone decides whom to give mercy.
God is provoked-able to gain His mercy by living life by His word.
SOME WAYS OF LIVING LIFE TO PROVOKE THE MERCY OF GOD:
One that aligns living life with the word of God shall gain the mercy of God.
One that lives life according to the word of God takes the position to gain the mercy of God.
Joseph is an example that was repeatedly exposed to temptation, to sin but did not give himself, to the temptation to fail before God (Genesis 39:7-15).
One time, he denied the offer to sleep with the wife of his master and claimed, “…How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9)
The reaction of Joseph to the wife of his master provoked the mercy of God for Joseph. Genesis 39:21 testifies, “But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor…”.
One that loves God shall attain the mercy of God.
One with love for God takes a position to provoke the mercy of God.
The Bible mentions that to love God is keeping the commandment of God. (John 14:15).
To love God is to fear God.
The story of Joseph points out that Joseph keeps the command of God by forbidding adultery when he fled away from sleeping with the wife of his master.
Joseph loved God to gain the mercy of God.
One that sown right shall obtain mercy of God.
It is a wise saying that “whatever a man sow is what a man shall reap.”
For example, one that sows banana shall not reap plantain regardless they look alike.
What are you sowing to reap?
Hosea 10:12 buttressed the word of God, “Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy.”
Become one merciful to experience the mercy of God as the word of God speaks to all, “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” (Matthew 5:7)
Be merciful to attain the mercy of God over your life.
Give yourself to work the words of God to gain His presence.
Once Jesus was asked about what to do to work the works of God. (John 6:28)
John 6:29 records the response of Jesus to the question before Him, “Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
Believe in God to gain His mercy unfailingly.

Prayer for today: Ask Him to enable you to live life by His word.

WORSHIP NOT WORRY

FAITH CAPSULE: To see God worship, not worry.

1 Samuel 1

Pray not to miss the processing time of God.
The processing time of God is the appointed time of God.
Hannah waited not to miss out on the appointed time of God.
Every year nothing happened, but one year she had an encounter of the appointed time of God.
With persistence, Hannah waited for God to experience the appointed time of God.
God remembered her: So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked for him from the Lord. (1 Samuel 1:20)
If your expectation on God is experiencing delay, know that delay will fail and not deny the manifestation of God over your life.
Hannah waits persistently on God, not on no man, to experience the visitation of God over her life.
Ask to be enabled to focus on God for His appointed time.
Time belongs to God know not to be a miss on His timing.
Galatians 4:4 states, “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman…”
God made everything beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 records, “He has made everything beautiful in its time…”
Time belongs to God is the reason for all to trust and hope in Him.
Psalm 62:8 admonishes all, “Trust in Him at all times…”
Count on God, wait on His time, not on a clock.
No matter how you monitor the clock, do not move outside of the timing of God.
Pray to live by the time of God.
With the failure to wait on the timing of God will cease to serve God.
One that is not serving God is not worshipping God.
One that is not worshipping God is worrying.
With worrying, one cannot seek God.
Jesus said, “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
Ask against the spirit of worrying not to have a place in your life.
Ask that God enable you to be worshipping Him instead of worrying in any endeavor to move forward in your life.
One worshipping instead of worrying over any issue of the challenge is inviting for the intervention of God.
Are you searching for yourself to identify who you are before God?
In Psalm 139:23-24, David wants to know, to set himself right before God by saying, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties. And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Be light as Jesus calls all as light.
One that answers as light shall not be a vessel of worrying.
Matthew 5:14 records the word of Jesus, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Worship God continually, give no place for worrying.

Prayer for today: Ask to live life worshipping God.
