WHAT WORKS ?

FAITH CAPSULE: Give yourself to having faith and patience.

Hebrews 11

Living life demands having faith as fuel, and patience should be the key to the ignition.
Hebrews 11:1 records faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
Faith has a source. Romans 10:17 records, “…faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  Take to mind that the Word of God which comes can also cease from coming when there is disengagement from hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Living life demands constant engagement with faith and patience according to the word of God.
Living life with faith and patience, the Word of God gives life to the just ones. Habakkuk 2:4 buttresses, “…the just shall live by his faith.” All that pertains to living life is living by the Word of God (living by faith). The word states: we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7); we watch, stand by faith (1 Corinthians 16:13); faith purifies the heart (Acts 15:9); we get saved by faith through grace (Ephesians 2:8)
Patience with faith or faith with patience is crucial to living life to gain and retain the presence of God.
Patience is the ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay.
Patience is steady perseverance (steady persistence)
God is Longsuffering God the character of having patience.
Numbers 14:18, records of God, “The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.”
Are you patient and longsuffering in the journey of life?
Colossians 1:11 buttresses“Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy”
By living life, the level of patience that one possesses will testify to the blessing of God in the life of such.
Lack of patience denies blessing and often leads to self-destruction.
Do you claim faith but lack patience or vice versa?
Among the scriptural verses that shed light on the importance of faith and patience, “…you do not become sluggish but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:12).
For a believer to inherit the promises of God, being patient with faith is a must.
The Parable of the Sower by Jesus points out that it is through patience that bearing fruit is the possibility. Luke 8:15 states, “But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”
Luke 21:19 also record, “By your patience possess your souls.”
Give yourself patience in this journey of life, provoking more of the blessing of God.
With faith in the Word of God, having patience yields manifestation. James 1:4 confirms, “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
Patience is of God. (John 6:28-29) In life, have patience.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled with having patience as a way of living life.

ASK FROM GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Ask to be restored, repaired, and be regained.

1 King 17

ASK FROM GOD TO REVIVE YOU TO RESTORE:
Samson became reduced when he wrongly revealed the secret of God-given power over his life to Delilah, his wife. Samson became reduced as a vessel of mockery in the hand of his enemies. Samson reacted with a prayer for strength to restore from every area he became reduced. Judges 16:28 records, “Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!” After the prayer of Samson, God restored him with strength.
Samson became revived to restore the position of miracle, not of mockery over his enemies.
Pray that God will strengthen you to become restored in a position of increase to deny every mockery over your life.
ASK FROM GOD TO REVIVE YOU, TO REPAIR YOU:
The Israelites were slaves when the mercy of God located them for deliverance. It was the mercy of God that revives them to become repaired.
Ezra 9:9 records, “For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.”
Desire to become repaired, answering as a temple of God, occupied by the presence of God. All are to be the temple of God and to be right before God, that God will occupy all.
One that is not right before God should expect not to be occupied by the presence of God.
One revived will experience to become repaired and become occupied by the presence of God, the evidence one that becomes build for God as His temple.
Pray that God will revive you to become repaired in every area of life, as His temple.
ASK FROM GOD TO REVIVE YOU TO REGAIN:
To be revived will give life both physically and spiritually.
God sent Elijah to the widow of Zarephath to take care of the needs of Elijah.
After the woman of Zarephath met the need of Elijah, her son was sick with no breath left in him.
The woman returned to seek Elijah for his intervention concerning her son. Elijah cried out to God to revive the life of the son of Zarephath woman. The Bible records, “Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah, and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.” (1 King 17:22)
The Voice of calling to God is the same as crying out to God to be revived in response to a challenging situation.
Pray that God will give heed to your calling on Him at all times.
God is kind.

Prayer for today: With desire, pray to be revived by God, and you will keep the testimony of God.

DIRECTION IN THE WORD

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you with understanding to see your direction in the word of God?

Ezekiel 4

The word of God is directing as Proverbs 6:22 testifies, “When you roam, they will lead you; When you sleep, they will keep you; And when you awake, they will speak with you.”
Are you with listening ability to the word of God in the journey of life?
The word of God does not go a miss, but man will go a miss from the word of God.
To Ezekiel, God spoke direction: “See, I am giving you cow dung instead of human waste, and you shall prepare your bread over it.” (Ezekiel 4:15) Ezekiel also listened with understanding to see and received the direction by the word of God.
Every of your hearing and hearing (listening) in the word of God is the evidence of listening to see, which is the key to gain understanding.
Are you listening to understand the word of God?
Are you with understanding to see your victory in the word of God just like Joshua, Jeremiah, and many others in the pages of the Bible?
Are you with understanding to see your unfailing direction in the word of God just like Ezekiel and others in the pages of the Bible?
The word of God is the manual for all.
Live a life of understanding to be seeing and receive in the word of God.
Jesus is the Word of God. (John 1:1)
John 10:10 records the purpose of the coming Jesus: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Listen to the word of God to see God in Him (the word of God) to live life more abundantly?
John 14:25-27 records the gift of His peace: “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Every recording of the word of Jesus that sounds in your direction is the source of your peace.
Are you listening to understand and to see in the word of God?
If you are listening with understanding, you will see and receive as spoken to you.
Just in case the word has sounded to you but not remember, Jesus promised that the Helper, the Holy Spirit from God, in His name, will teach you to remember all that He has said.
In all your listening to the word of God, understand to see, to receive, and what you see will become of you.
God is good!

Prayer for today: Ask that God enable you to live life with listening ability.

GAIN UNDERSTANDING

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you with the understanding of God in the journey of life?

Psalm 106

Lack of understanding of the wonders of God is so critical to terminate arrival at the promise of God.
With the lack of understanding of the wonders of God, one will not remember the mercies of God.
One that does not remember the mercies of God is bound to become rebellious to the word of God.
Psalm 106:7 records the testimony of the lack of understanding of the wonders of God by the Israelites, “Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; they did not remember the multitude of your mercies but rebelled by the sea-the Red Sea.”
Does the word speak to you?
Are you one with a lack of understanding of the wonders of God?
Lack of understanding of the Israelites is the root of rebellion and the complaint, particularly a negative confession.
Numbers 14:1-4 records the complaint of the Israelites,“…And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt…?”
As the Israelites lack understanding with negative confession, are you doing the same before God?
Every complaint before God is a sin that will provoke consequences.
The Israelites repeatedly complaint before God to experience painful consequences.
God responds to the complaint of the Israelites in Numbers 14:28-29“Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you: The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness…”
Are you with the understanding of God not to live a life of repeated complaint?
Understanding is not of the mouth but the heart.
Understanding is critical to living right before God.
Understanding the wonders of God will always cause one to remember and not to become one with rebellious character. Proverbs 16:22 testifies that “Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it…”
Wellspring is a source of abundant supply. With understanding, you will have an abundance of life that Jesus brought for all. Jesus declares it, “…I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
In the journey of life, have the desire for understanding to gain abundant life by Christ Jesus.
The Israelites lack the understanding of God to become wasted in the wilderness.
Forgetting the works of God cannot be separated from the lack of understanding of the doings of God.
Psalm 106:13-14 refers to the Israelites, “They soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.”
To be forgetting the works of God and lacking understanding will position such outside of the expected end.

Prayer for today: Ask that you will not live a life waste.

OBEDIENCE TO GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you living a life of obedience or disobedience?

Genesis 22

The word of God demands obedience to His word. The word of God is with promises to be manifested in the life one with obedient to God, living life obeying God. In the journey of life, it is to live life as commanded by God.
Are you living a life of obedience or disobedience?
Obedience to God will drive the obedient one to arrive at the divine assignment, but disobedience will derail not to reach as expected before God.
Abraham lived a life of obedience to the word of God. God called him out of his land and his family when he answered obediently to God. The test of God for Abraham was his obedience for answering the calling to go and sacrifice Isaac, his son. Genesis 22:1-3 records: “Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.”
The obedience of Abraham counted as a faith that positioned him for the divine assignment. (Hebrews 11:8)
Abraham obeyed; he could not fail before God but was able to claim the promises of God for his life. (Hebrews 11:17)
Just like Abraham, any obedient to the word of God will arrive at the assignment of God. How is your journey of life in obedience to God?
In the journey of life, there is no reasonable excuse for disobedience to God.
Claiming to be living a life of obedience is easier said than done.
Live a life of obedience before God that sees all ways of life under heaven.
To live a life with the fear of God is encased in the humble and become obedient to God continually.
The word of God will cause tenderness of heart to be a place for humility.
Without humility, obedience is not possible. Philippians 2:8 records of Jesus, “…humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
The humble will fear God.
Do you fear God indeed and in truth?
To be lost from the word of God will be disobedient to lose the rightful position in God.

Prayer for today: Pray to Know God, to fear Him.
