GOD IS TRUE TO WAIT ON

FAITH CAPSULE: To believe the truth of God is knowing to have an edge waiting on God.

Matthew 7

The truth of God is the assurance to wait on God without regret.
One with the truth of God is on the side of the word of God that does not fail.
Jesus is the truth of God that never fails. (John 14:6)
Jesus spoke the truth to those who believe (not just the Jews) saying, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32)
Abiding in the word of God is possible when there is knowledge of the truth of God.
Knowledge is the application of wisdom.
Understanding is paying attention to wisdom because wisdom is instruction.
Jesus wants all to know the truth that will make free possible.
Among the truth that helps is, to know to wait on God.
What is it about waiting on God?
Waiting is not fun when there is no knowledge of the truth about waiting.
Waiting can be a pain but with knowledge of its truth, it often turns to gain.
Waiting in time of challenges demands to remain calm until expectation becomes manifested.
Waiting on God can deliver answers such as yes, no, or to wait.
With knowledge of the truth, it is understanding asking, seeking, and knocking for the intervention of God.
Jesus buttresses, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)
In life, understanding to wait by asking, seeking, and knocking is the key that makes believers know the truth which makes one free.
God will always act for those who wait on Him with knowledge of the truth. Isaiah 64:4-5 testifies, “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear; nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him. You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, Who remembers You in Your ways…”
Isaiah 64:5 identifies three ways of truth that will activate God for one that waits on Him:
God meets with him who rejoices.
God meets with one that does righteousness.
God meets with those who remember His ways.
Apostle Paul knows the truth of waiting and having God to act when he repeatedly encourages about rejoicing in the Lord always. (Philippians 4:4)
Paul also encourages all to be awake to righteousness, and do not sin. (1Corinthians 15:34)
The word of God encourages all to remind Him concerning the work of His hand. (Isaiah 43:26)
The word of God is not just a story but a secret that will deliver with the answer unto a believer.
A believer with knowledge of the truth of the word of God will know to wait on God with expectation without frustration.
Get knowledge and know that God acts for the one who waits for Him.

Prayer for today: Ask God to open up your understanding of His word.

DESIRE FOR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Desire that God will take charge of your life.

1 Corinthians 13

In the world of today, if the acclaimed believers know God instead of knowing about God, darkness should not be prevailing as much as it is today.
Many that are gathering as a believer of God but far from God, with no room for the word of God taking over the way of life.
As a believer, in your place of assumed worshiping ground, are you expecting the move of the power of God?
Expecting the power of God where there is no love for God, keeping to the word of God is self-deception. 1 John 4:8 admonishes, “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” The message from God is for all to love.
Today, seek and give self to the message of God for all His creation.
1John1:5 also identifies the message of God, “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declares to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”  God is Light and it is not possible to know Him and not reflect Him. Without doubt, if acclaimed believers thronging ground of worship in the name of God knows God, indeed and in truth, darkness would probably have disappeared on the face of the earth. Today, the darkness of wickedness is hoovering the whole world.
With self sincerity, a desire that God will search you has the Psalmist 139:23-24 records, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Search to know God by His word, rather than just to know about God.
Know God by keeping His commandment. 1John 2:3-5 testifies, “Now by this, we know that we know Him if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this, we know that we are in Him.”  It is important to know God.
The love that is required from us is not the love in word or tongue but it is the unconditional love as recorded in 1Corinthians 13:4-8, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.”  With a desire for God to take charge of your life, prayerfully ask from God to enable you.

Prayer for today: Ask for the word of God to be established over your life.

BE ENCOURAGED

FAITH CAPSULE: Be encouraged to deny discouragement.

Psalm 40

Delay can be discouraging when the expectation is delayed. As a believer, understand and know that with God, a delay is not a denial. Once, in the journey of the Israelites to the Promised Land, the delay of Moses on the mountain made the Israelites request for another god saying to Aaron, “…make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”(Exodus 32:1) Before God, is your expectation experiencing delay?
The Israelites could not wait on God.
In the word of God, understand and know that waiting on God will not be wasted.
The word of God testifies the character of God towards one that waits on Him. Isaiah 64:4 records, “For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.”
Delay, deny and doubt can be persistent to discourage in waiting for God to act in the life of one with no understanding and knowledge of God that is faithful to His word that never returns to Him void.
Today, meditate on the testimony of David as Psalm 40:1-3 states, “I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear and will trust in the Lord.”
As you meditate on the testimony of David, understand and know that God is not a partial God. Remind God concerning the works of His hand while ignoring delay with expectation for manifestation.
Your delay will turn unto deliverance if you trust and wait in the name of Jesus. The Bible declares in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” A state of unexpected delay will generate concern and there will be every reason to be anxious. The word encourages by stating the antidote for anxiousness: Take all to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, and the peace of God will take over you. Instead of you seeing delay be encouraged by seeing in the word of God. God alone is the One that delivers and He alone is in control of all. Deny delay; declare all His goodness and His mercy that never expire.
From today, have faith, God will not deny you!

Prayer for today: Ask from God to enable you to wait on Him.

WHAT KIND OF BELIEVER ARE YOU?

FAITH CAPSULE: Believers should be agents of preserving the decaying world.

Matthew 5:1-16

In life, commands of God demand nothing but full obedience and no iota of middle ground. Obeying God’s command provokes blessing while disobedience provokes curse. The book of revelation talked about the middle ground, “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” (Revelation 3:15-16) As a believer, you are either one who contributes to the earth as a preserver or one who contributes as a non-preserver (destroyer).
In the Bible days, no refrigerator could be used for preserving food but salt. When Jesus talked about the salt of the earth, He spoke about what the life of a believer should. A believer should be the one bringing impacting changes to his or her environment such as their workplace, neighborhood, and family gatherings.
Salt, as a preserver, means believers should be agents of preserving the decaying world of sin and iniquity that is around them. Instead, the world is the one that is changing believers lately. Believers should not be changed by the affairs of this world if they cannot change the world. It is not enough to be fluent in Bible verses if the character does not support the fluency of the word in their mouth. Some believers today appear to be quiet, claiming that they do not want to offend anyone by their belief. Does that sound like you?
Imagine this, in the world of a kitchen where there is salt, how can it be that every food that is coming out is tasteless and unacceptable? Jesus said in Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men”. The salt in the kitchen that is producing tasteless and unacceptable food does not effect because it is not being used or it has lost its flavor. Are you a kitchen salt (World salt) with no effect? The salt that is not effective has lost its purpose. According to Jesus, salt becomes an underfoot material when it cannot preserve. What kind of salt are you? Boldness in quoting the Word without Godly character to back it up will continue to make you a powerless believer.
You are to be a salt that seasons your world with good and acceptable contributions to the glory of God.

Prayer for today: Ask from God to enable you to be salt for your world.

HEALING AND GIVING CHARACTER

FAITH CAPSULE: Among the characters of the word of God are healing and giving.

Psalms 138, 148

The word of God is God.
Psalm 148:13 records, “Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.”
Psalm 138:2 informs all, “I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”
In the name of God, the characters of His word cannot be denied when he is engaged with understanding.
AMONG HEALING IS THE CHARACTER OF THE WORD OF GOD
Matthew 8:16 records demonstration of the healing character of the word of God when Jesus had an encounter to heal, “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.”
The word of God carries the power of God to do and undo by casting out all that does not represent God in the life of whom it locates. Also, just a word of God is enough for healing, deliverance, and preservation.
Healing, the character of the word of God is evident through the pages of the Bible. Psalm 107:20 documents, “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
With understanding, know to call on God for His healing word. Isaiah 43:26 encourages all, “Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.”
God is the same yesterday and tomorrow, He does not forget but will answer when called on Him according to the promise in His word.
GIVING IS A CHARACTER OF THE WORD OF GOD
What God wants to give out is in His word to give one with an understanding to ask for manifestation of what the word of God carries.
For example, the word of God will give comfort or light to meet the expectation for one with the understanding that asks from Him.
Psalm 119:50 testifies, “This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your word has given me life.” Are you with the expectation to get from the word of God? With understanding, know the word of God to ask for what the word of God will give.
Psalm 119:130 testifies, “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.” With understanding, know to ask for the word of God that can give light, for navigating through the darkness of the world not to become a victim of falling.
Also, one that gives self to the word God will be build up to inherit as the approved one before God. Acts 20:32 records, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Give yourself to the word of God to build you to receive from the word of God that will give unfailingly.

Prayer for today: Ask from God to enable you to engage His word as your way of life.
