THE LIVING WORD

FAITH CAPSULE: The living word of God is God and demands attention diligently.

Jeremiah 1

The word of God is God.
John 1:1 points out, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The word of God is living and powerful.
Hebrews 4:12 enlightens, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
The word of God is the power to make and nothing was made without the word of God. John 1:3 states, “All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made.”
Unquestionably, with understanding, the living word of God is with the power to make possibility out of impossibility in every area of life.
Do you have an understanding of the word of God?
Do you know the power of the word of God, the majority does not know the word of God but only know about the word of God quoting the word of God?
Jesus, in one of His journeys, must have realized the lack of understanding of the word of God by the people when He spoke rhetorically, “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.” (John 8:43)
Understanding the word of God to experience the power of the living word of God demands a LISTENING-ABILITY.
One that listens to the word of God will know the characters of the word of God, having the edge in the journey of life.
ONE OF THE CHARACTERS TO KNOW ABOUT THE WORD OF GOD IS:
WORD OF GOD IS MOVE-ABLE TO LOCATE AND TO GIVE DIRECTION
The living word of God is a moving word that is move-able to locate whomever God chooses to give direction in the journey of life.
Jonah is an example among many that received the calling of God when the word located him with the direction in Jonah 1:1-2, “Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.” The word of God went to locate Jonah.
Jeremiah was located by the word of God at several times for direction and to receive attention, to see in the unsee-able situation. Jeremiah testifies, “the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” (Jeremiah 1:11-12)
The living word of God does not stagnate, the word of God moved to call Jonah for direction, to call on Jeremiah to see the unsee-able situation, for him to move forward not to be a failure in the assignment of God over his life.

Prayer for today: Ask that the word of God will locate you to live life for His will.

WATCHOUT!

FAITH CAPSULE: There is no one with exception from distraction.

Judges 16

Without discrimination, devices of distraction will derail or deny one with the loss of focus on God.
Distraction will assault to prevent the arrival of a man at the divine assignment of God.
Distraction can be a denial agent against a man not to walk in the Lord, to answer the calling of God.
Distraction can also be an indefinable force that will deny a man from having faith to please God.
Samson was destined to be a deliverer of his people by the hand of God. At the time he was to be conceived by his mother God sent an angel that said to his mother, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. Now, therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean. For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.” (Judges 13:3-5) Samson, from his birth, was destined to deliver his people but distraction led to his disobedience before God.
Samson was wrong to reveal the secret of the power of God over his life to his wife (Delilah) and made him become a victim in the hand of his enemy.
Judges 16:18-20 records the distraction of Samson in the hand of Delilah, “When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart.” So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand. Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him.” The distraction of Samson was not his outsider but his insider, his wife.
What or who is your distraction?
The source of distraction for one not to live life for the glory of God can be from the closest ones with ignorant of evil occurrence.
During the challenges of Job, the ignorance his wife called for distraction for Job but failed. Bible records distraction of the wife of Job, “Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” (Job 2:9)
Unlike Samson, Job resisted the device of distraction from his wife, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” (Job 2:10)
Are you avoiding devices of distraction before you?
Continually, give attention to deny distraction from the inside or distraction from the outside to deny divine assignment in the journey of life.

Prayer for today: Ask for deliverance from distraction.

YOUR TASK MATTERS

FAITH CAPSULE: Your task will count before God not your title.

Answering the title of your choice but not of God is self-deception.
One with self-deception will be conversant to telling lies, to be deceiving and manipulating the world.
Are you answering to title for what God did not call you to be?
The Bible record the story of Apostle Paul answering the calling of God, with the title as Apostle of God, healing the sick, calling out the evil spirit in the life of many.
The Bible also records some Jewish exorcists that took it upon themselves to answer out of God’s calling. Acts 19:11-17 records, “Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also, there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them and prevailed against them so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus, and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.”
Are you assuming a title or taking up an assignment that is not of God?
The written word of God is for our learning to understand and know to navigate this wicked world, to live life for the glory of God. Learn from the story of itinerant Jewish exorcists that gave themselves to answer the title that is not the calling of God.
Are you seeking God or seeking a man with titles for God?
Are you with passion or hunger to be answering titles in the business of God but not called by God, mocking your respective world?
What is your title?
Are you self-appointed or man appointed Apostle, Prophet or Pastor, parading as in answer to God’s calling?
You need no man to help you to deceive yourself.
Also, you will need no man to stop you from deceiving your world.
Stop yourself from deceiving your world.
Give yourself to the given task of God in your life, not just answering to the title.
Come out of religion and give yourself to the reality of Christ.
The judgment of God is not asleep but will come at His appointed time.
Live right, engage the tasks of God not given yourself to the assigned title to you by any man.

Prayer for today: Ask from God to live life according to the calling of God.

OPEN AND CLEAN FOR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Open up and become spotless clean for God to occupy your life.

2 Chronicles 29:1-11

Living the given of life by God is worthy to be opened for God to occupy and for one to live life for the glory of God.
The action of King Hezekiah to open the temple of the Lord depicts what it takes for one to open up for God to occupy one, to live life for the glory of God.
2Chronicles 29:1-3 records, “Hezekiah became king when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah. And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father David had done. In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the Lord and repaired them.” The word states that Hezekiah did what was right in the sight of the Lord when he became king. Among the right thing which Hezekiah did was to open the doors of the house of the Lord. After the opening of the house of the Lord, Hezekiah engaged the repairing of the house of the Lord.
An open and well-kept house will become occupied by the presence of the Lord.
You as a house, are you open and clean for the entrance of the Lord to occupy you?
Revelation 3:20 records what Jesus will do when you are open for Him to occupy your life, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
Some are opening the door for Jesus to come in but very few are allowing Him to do any repair.
Hezekiah opened the door and called for reparation.
The Word of God is written for our learning. Study and learn that the temple of God needs to be opened and worked on.
Hezekiah did not just open the door, he opened it for reparation.
For a long time, you have had the door of your heart opened, but you do not know what to do with your opened door.
Today, learn from Hezekiah to understand and know that it is not enough to open the door and not repair for the Lord God to occupy in the house.
Are you open to the religious purpose or for reality with Christ?
Hezekiah did not just have the door open for playing religion; he brought in those that were qualified to work inside the Temple. 2 Chronicles 29:5, “And he said to them: Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place.”
Are you open to the entrance of God into your life?
If you are one that is yet to open for Jesus to occupy you, it is time to have the door open so He can come into you, to sanctify you by His Word.

Prayer for today: Ask from God to enable you to become opened that He will occupy your life.

LIGHT IS THE HAND OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Give yourself to the light of God.

John 1:1-18

All that a man needs to live life for is the light of God.
What is the light of God?
To understand what is the light of God, John 8:12 records, “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
The recording in John 9:5 emphasizes the truth that Jesus is the light, saying, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
Why not give self to the light of God?
God will not force any man to accept or to give self to His light.
However, one that accepts the light of God will not stumble in darkness. John 11:10 admonishes, “But if one walks in the night, he stumbles because the light is not in him.”
Is it your desire to give yourself to the light of God?
Give yourself to the light for your deliverance and preservation.
To have the light of God is to allow the entrance of the light of God into one’s life.  Psalm 119:130 testifies, “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.”
One with the light of God will experience the hand of God in life, continually.
With understanding, gain knowledge to expect deliverance and preservation in the hand of God.
Job 3:23 records, “Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden, and whom God has hedged in?”
Psalm 139:5 records, “You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.”
With the light of God is the hand of God that will hedge one that accepts the light of God.
Have you accepted the light of God?
In the light of God is the hand of God that is certain to keep one having the light of God.
Testimony of Job is the reason to accept the light of God, to call on God for His hand as a hedge against Satan’s attack.

Job 1:6-10 documents the testimony of Job
“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
So, Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? “So, Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.”
Open yourself, accept the word of God, the hand of God will be answering as your hedge behind and before you, to be delivered and preserved from the wicked of the world.

Prayer for today: Ask God for His word to gain entrance into your life.
