THE WORD OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Desire for the word of God to established in your life.

John 1:1-18

The word of God is God. John 1:1-2 testifies, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The word of God you carry is the evidence of God in you.
Are you giving yourself to the word of God?
The word of God that enters will give light and understanding not to become a victim of this wicked world of darkness. Psalm 119:130 buttresses, “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.”
God sent His word to heal and to deliver as Psalm 107:20 records, “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
The word of God is near for man, but man is far from the word of God, occupied by the world. Why not give yourself to the word of God?
God magnifies His word above all His name and Bible records, “…For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.” (Psalm 138:2)
At all times, the word of God does not return to Him void.
Isaiah 55:11 records, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
The word of God is power for all to live life for the glory of God.
Hebrews 4:12 testifies, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
The word of God will build one, to inherit among the sanctity of God.
Acts 20:32 records, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified”
To fear God is to hear and learn in the word of God.
The word of God speaks to all in Deuteronomy 4:10, “…Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth…”
Among the ways of giving self to the word of God to be established in one’s life is meditating the word of God day and night as Joshua 1:8 records, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
Give yourself to the word of God.

Prayer for today: Ask that the word of God will locate you to become established in your life.

DISSATISFIED?

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you complaining to confess negatively before God?

Numbers 14:1-38

Complaining in the journey of life does not have a place before God.
Complaining instead of complementing God will not be committed to God, to deny arrival at the destination in the journey of life.
Are you complaining before God?
Do not complain, it is the expression of dissatisfaction with God that will position one for a painful journey of life.
One thing God cannot do is: He cannot fail!
In every way of life, complaint, the expression of dissatisfaction with a negative confession is not acceptable before God. The word of God warned: “Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands?” (Ecclesiastes 5:6)
The written word of God is a manual of life, to lead with direction to arrive at the destination of the journey of life.
Importantly, give self to the word of God, not to look away from God’s word which is the evidence of taking distance from God.
It was the complaint against God that set the Israelites for a painful journey of life.
The Bible records the complaints of the Israelites, “So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.” (Numbers 14:1-4)
The Israelites’ complaint before God was a negative confession when they reacted to the spy’s discouraging report that was against the Promised Land for the Israelites. (Numbers 13:26-29)
Are you complaining to confess negatively before God?
One with the complaint will rebel before God.
The Israelites at the coming out of the bondage of over four hundred years’ complaint and rebel before God.
As a believer, avoiding compliant before God is rooted in trusting and hoping on God. One that knows to trust and hope in the Lord shall experience the blessing of God as Jeremiah 17:7 states, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.” Calling on God for His intervention is trust; waiting on God, without doubt, is the evidence of having hope in God.
Complaints with negative confession should be avoided in the journey of life.

Prayer for today: Ask from God not to become a victim of complaining.

GOD IS NOT PARTIAL

FAITH CAPSULE: Get to know God not just know about God.

Exodus 14

Knowing about God is not knowing God.
Knowing about God does not know God to be mindful of God and His attributes.
Knowing God is the evidence of giving self to live life by His word.
Seeking God diligently in His word is getting to know God. Deuteronomy 4:29 records, “But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
Seeking God to know Him demands to seek Him with all heart and soul.
Knowing God will have trust and hope in God at all times.
Knowing about God will trust but not know to hope on God.
Do you know God to trust and hope in Him?
Many know about God to pray before Him but not able to patiently wait in hope for God’s answer.
Jeremiah 17:7 identifies trusting and hoping on God to claim the blessing of God, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.”
Knowing about God is not knowing God to submit for God’s fighting on your behalf against the identified enemy. The Israelites know about God, had trust in God to bring them out of the bondage of over four hundred years but lack hope in God when the fear of their enemy overwhelmed them. Exodus 14:11-12 records the Israelites reaction to their enemy, “Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”
Moses responded to the Israelites lack of hope that prompted their negative confession before God, “And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13-14)
Get to know God in the pages of His word. God is true to His word, what He says to one speaks to all. Knowing about God in the place of knowing God will always result in having trust and not having hope in God.
Trust and hope that God is not a partial God. Give self to God’s word. Gain understanding and have the knowledge to be approaching God that was, God that is and will remain forever. He is the unchanging changer that is not partial. Romans 2:11 speaks to all, “For there is no partiality with God.”
It is not enough to know God but to know God and become exposed to His revelation.

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable you to know Him.

KNOW TO HIDE

FAITH CAPSULE: Jesus hides for all to know to hide.

Luke 4

The word of God is in the record for all to learn, living life for the glory of God.
The word of God in the record is like a manual for instruction for living life not to fail before God.
The word of God in the record is like a mirror for looking, to address or re-address one’s dressing not to become ashamed but to live life for the glory of God.
Romans 15:4 records, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
Are you giving yourself to the word of God, receiving directions for the journey of life?
Jesus, our Lord, and savior did not expose Himself for the temptation of the devil when He hides in the record word of God. The Bible records that, after forty days of Jesus’ fasting, the devil approached Jesus three times to tempt Jesus, at first the devil said, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” (Luke 4:3) Jesus responded to the devil with the record of God’s word as His hiding place not to fall for the devil, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” (Luke 4:4)
The testimonies of Jesus’ hiding are for all to learn from the record of God’s word not to expose for wicked ones.
Jesus does not need to hide.
With understanding and knowledge, the record of Jesus’ hide in the word of God to stand against the temptation of Satan.
The record first of three temptations attempt of Satan against Jesus, as recorded failed (just as the other two temptations failed) because Jesus hides in the record word of God quoting against Satan.
Just as Jesus hides in the record word of God, quoting against the Satan, physically, He also hid from wicked one’s attempt not to become hurt or derail His plan of God.
The Bible records how Jesus hides physically not because there is no way for Him to avoid the evil agenda but for all to know and understand that hiding is not evidence of weakness but wisdom.
The bible records Jesus’ physical hiding in the face of wicked agenda, “Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.” (John 8:59)
Keeping to the record of God’s word will keep one from untimely termination by evil agenda.
Are you a simple believer, a prudent one?
Provers 14:15 speaks to all, “The simple believes every word, But the prudent considers well his steps.”
With understanding, “A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished.” (Proverbs 22:3)
Keep the word of God (testimonies of God) diligently not to become a victim of the wicked world.
Jesus hides and all should know to hide.

Prayer for today: Ask to give entrance for God’s word into your life, to live life by God’s word.

TRUST AND HOPE

FAITH CAPSULE: Waiting on God is rooted in having trust and hope on God.

Psalm 40

Waiting on God for the manifestation of expectation is not wasting time, but believing in the word of God. Word of God might sound foolish to man but never fail to deliver those who believe in His word. (1 Corinthians 1:21)
The word of God demands to ask, seek and knock in times of waiting before God. To be Asking, Seeking, Knocking before God is evidence of having faith in God, by looking up to Jesus.
Hebrews 12:2 records, “looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Jesus the author of our faith speaks to all, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
For receiving an answer to a question, waiting on God demands trust and hope by asking, seeking and knocking before God.
When there is no waiting on God, man always rushes away for God’s answer and turn to waste.
King Saul could not wait as instructed and it was accounted to him as disobedient.
To obey and wait is to trust and hope on God.
Waiting for God is giving attention to a jealous God. Psalmist admonishes, “Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed…” (Psalm 25:3)
A believer in God must understand to wait and endure period.
Waiting on God can experience a delay but never a waste of time.
God testified about David when Saul failed to wait on God. God spoke through Samuel for Saul’s disobedience, “But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.” (1 Samuel 13:14) David knows the heart of God to understand what it means as he consistently obeyed by waiting on God before making moves.
The bible recorded about a prodigal son that could not know to wait for God’s timing, “A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.” (Luke 15:11-13)
Younger son could not wait for God’s appointed time to receive a portion of good that falls to him. Indirectly, the prodigal son made move outside of God’s timing for his life because he could not wait.
At all time, in all time do not make haste but waiting in trust and hope before God that acts to wait for those that wait on Him

Prayer for today:  Ask God for mercy to reverse irreversible move of not waiting on His direction in the journey of your life.
