ARE YOU CALLING?

FAITH CAPSULE: Call on God from the depth of your heart.

Numbers 14

One that knows to call on God will provoke God’s response at all times.
God wants all to be calling on Him and not calling on Him is the evidence of the lack of faith in God. Isaiah 65:24 testifies, “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
Are you one that calls on God?
David’s word is for the wise to know the importance of calling on God.
2 Samuel 22:4, Psalm 18:3, testifies to David’s calling on God “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so, shall I be saved from my enemies.”
Regardless of all that goes around the life of man, God will hear before one call on God.
Are you having doubt calling on God?
Learn from David as his word demonstrated that there is an answer in calling on the only gracious and merciful God that hears before we call. Just as the Lord promised to answer before they (we) call, He also stated that He will hear while they (we) are speaking.
In your calling on God are you positive or negative?
In the journey of the Israelites to God’s Promised land, their calling on God was negative, and God responded, “…I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me. Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you” (Numbers 14:27-28). Often, man forgets that God that gives ear does have an ear to hear. It is important to know that God answers call and He also pays attention to hear while we speak.
Are you allowing challenges to dictate or provoke negative calling on God?
Most times, the life of a man can be affected by the words of our mouth.
The Bible buttresses, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21) Often, the positive answer will respond to positive communications while negative answers will respond to negative communications.
One should believe that God that hears does not stop hearing at every calling seeks for Him.
Avoiding negative such as rebellious is the reason why the book of Ecclesiastes 5:6 states, “Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error…” As much as there is nowhere to hide from God, indeed, our spoken words cannot be hidden from God without Him hearing us.
Why not abstain from speaking negative words but speak positive words to His hearing?
Do you believe that God gives ear to the calling of all man always?
Begin to speak a positive word with expectation knowing that He hears and answers all.

Prayer for today: Ask God to give ears to the calling from the depth of your heart.

LIVE LIFE IN HIS WORD

FAITH CAPSULE: Live in the word of God daily.

Genesis 19

If you are in the word of God, and the word of God is in you, keep on looking forward by giving self into the word of God that is power by asking, thinking as the Bible admonishes, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20)
What are you thinking or asking?
One that knows to think will know to thank God.
One in the word of God will know to ask in the place of worrying.
Are you looking forward but not looking into the past?
Give attention to the truth, know that your past month is not current. Your life today is a journey of relocation to move forward. Moving forward demands setting sight on the word of God which is will bring one to the expected end journey.
God’s word is His command, the word of God can be challenging. It was challenging for Lot’s wife to obey God’s word when she could not look forward but looked back to her past, against God’s word. The Bible recorded that Lot’s wife looked back behind Lot and she became a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:26) Could it be that your relocation is God’s way of repositioning you for better? What is it in your past that cannot be forgotten? What is it that is causing you not to see God as one that orders your step?
Looking back can become a way of worrying instead of worshiping God for His glory. Profitably, God is moving you forward to a different ground which is His blessing for you. Today, disallow past from overtaking your present. Do not be bondage to the past.
When the Israelites came out of the bondage of over four hundred years but could not let their past be in the past looking back, complaining and comparing the past with their present. The Israelites set themselves for self-destruction. It is written, “Now the mixed multitudes who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said: ‘Who will give us meat to eat? We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!’” (Numbers 11:4-6) The children of Israel vigorously complained instead of glorifying God for His merciful kindness and His truth which endures forever. You must know that complaining does not count before God for any man. Give all the glory to God for where you are today. Continually remember that the grace of God brought you past yesterday, to see today and will see you further as it pleases God.

Prayer for today: Ask from God to continually found in His word.

KNOW THE TRUTH

FAITH CAPSULE: Get to know the truth of God, but not know about the truth.

Proverbs 12

Knowing the truth of God is the expectation of true believers before God.
Knowing the truth of God is having faith.
Knowing the truth of God shall make one be free from carrying the mark of wicked ones before God. Wicked ones cannot hide from God as Bible records, “Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5)
Wicked ones have the word of truth in their mouth but not in the heart. Jeremiah 12:1-2, “Righteous are You, O Lord when I plead with You; Yet let me talk with You about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are those happy who deal so treacherously? You have planted them, yes, they have taken root; They grow, yes, they bear fruit. You are near in their mouth But far from their mind.”
Truly faithful is what we need to live in life to please God by not having heart continually occupied with evil.
What is your heart before God?
It is how you carry the word of God in your heart, but not in your mouth that will testify about your faithfulness.
Seek God diligently, have faith which is the evidence of knowing the truth of God.
The Bible described faith, “…the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:1-3)
In this description of faith, it is clear that two things will happen in the life of the truthful believer: Obtaining good testimony; Understanding the word.
Obtaining good testimony:
Good testimony is God’s testimony. When good testimony is obtained, it settles forever. For example, Abraham obtained God testimony when he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11:8-10)
Sarah: By faith, she obtained good testimony where there is no evidence of her expectation.
Bible recorded for Sarah, “By faith, Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age because she judged Him faithful who had promised.” (Hebrews 11:11)
Just like Abraham and Sarah, faithful men such as Noah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses were able to obey God and obtained good testimonies.
Understanding the word: Understanding the word of God will cause a man to stand as a believer in this wicked world. Understanding is the key to apply knowledge. For any who clearly understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, there should never be a faith failure. Having understanding is to know that the word of God which framed the world is more than enough for one to obey, dwell and wait on word of God in engaging and overcoming the challenges of life as one who is in command.
Get to know the truth to live life for the glory of God.

Prayer for today: Ask God to make you give self to His word that is true.

IT IS POSSIBLE!

FAITH CAPSULE: Dwell and abide in the word of God.

Psalm 91, John 8:31-47

When you give less to the word of God the world will occupy your life for eternal destruction.
Jesus spoke the truth to those who believe, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32)
The word of God is His way not to live a life of waste.
Knowing the truth is not the same as knowing about the truth.
Knowing the truth will not be a liar, deceptive to become a manipulator.
Knowing the truth is to fear God to become free.
Any acclaimed believer that dwells in the word of God is positioned not to drift away from God. One that drifts away from the word of God is neglecting great salvation.
Hebrews 2:1 admonished us, “…we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.” To live life as a believer that is true and not live as a liar, must give the more earnest heed to the word of God.
Are you living life as a true believer?
Through the pages of the bible, the word of God repeatedly admonished man to be a true believer stating, “…give the more earnest heed to the things heard in the word of God”.
The word of God demands from believers to, “…give the more…” Asking us to “…give the more…” is asking for seeking God’s word with diligence. Word is not asking us to give casual attention to the word of God. Giving more earnest heed in the word of God is a serious intention and having regard to the word that will make one become a true believer.
To be a true believer is not by quoting bible verses, by attending fellowship or holding a position in the fellowship gathering.
Also, to be exposed to bible teaching and not be imparted by the word is the evidence of not giving earnest heed in the word of God.
Today, are you busy for the world more than giving earnest heed in the word of God. When a believer gives less to the word of God the world will occupy more of the believer.
You can be a liar; you can deceive the world, but God cannot be deceived.
Today, you should know that the word of God is steadfast and unfaltering as a source of the great salvation. Give more earnest heed in the word of God, let truth take over in your life. Proverbs 12:22 said it all, “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.”

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace to be a true believer.

KNOWING GOD’S WONDER

FAITH CAPSULE: With understand, know God’s wonders to avoid a life of sin before God.

Psalm 106

Lack of understanding the wonders of God; forgetting the works of God and failure to believe God is a route of sin. The above mentioned were apparent among the Israelites and is evident in man today.
Lack of Understanding the wonders of God:
Bible recorded, “Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; they did not remember the multitude of your mercies but rebelled by the sea-the Red Sea.” (Psalm 106:7) Lack of understanding leads to rebellion, complaint, a negative confession.
The Israelites confessed in Numbers 14:1-4, “…And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt…?”
They sin and God responded, “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you: The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness…” (Numbers 14:28-30)
Understanding is not of the mouth but the heart.
It is through understanding to know that having life today is not a merit, it is the mercy of God.
One with the understanding of God’s wonders will always remember God and not be a rebellious one because, “Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it…” (Proverbs 16:22)
Wellspring is a source of abundant supply.
One with understanding will have an abundance of life which Jesus brought for all man.
One with sin because of lack of understanding, life becomes wasted like the Israelites that sin and died in the wilderness.
Forgetting the works of God:
“They soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.” (Psalm 106:13-14) If a man fails by not become mindful of God’s works, the spirit of forgetfulness shall lead to sin. The Israelites forgot; they could not wait on God but died in sin and not get to the Promised Land.
Failure to believe God:
“Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His word” (Psalm 106:24)
They despised the meaning of God’s words and took a wrong way outside of God’s plan for their life. Disobeying the word of God is the evidence of lack of belief. God promised to take them to the Promised Land but spy’s negative testimonies provoked unbelieving act. God is holy and with sin, no man can reach God.
Just like the Israelites, man does not understand the wondrous acts of God, forgetting the works of God and failure to believe God is the sinful route of untimely death.

Prayer for today: Ask God to deliver you from the known and unknown route of sin.
