FAITH CAPSULE: Lack of commitment to God is looking away from God.

Numbers 32

Looking away from God’s word is lack of commitment to God.
Commitment to the word of God is not just a religion but living life to the glory of God.
With a commitment to the living word of God is taking the unfailing route in the journey of life.
Are you truthful to yourself living by the word of God?
Anyone with a commitment to God’s word is with an understanding of seeking God diligently.
In the journey of life, a failure not to give self to the promise of God is declining God’s word, the lack of commitment to God’s word.
In the journey to God’s Promised Land, the Israelites constantly disobeyed God the evidence of lack of commitment to God’s word.
Among the Israelites, the children of Gad and the children of Reuben wanted to settle for the East side of the Jordan against God’s word for them to cross the Jordan, and be established into God’s plan for them. The choice of disobedient to God’s word by the children of Gad and children of Reuben was the choice for self-convenience over commitment to God.
Numbers 32:1-7 documents the disobedient of the children of Gad the children of Reuben, “Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock; and when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, that indeed the region was a place for livestock, the children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the leaders of the congregation, saying,  “Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Shebam, Nebo, and Beon, the country which the LORD defeated before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.” Therefore, they said, “If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not take us over the Jordan.” And Moses said to the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben: “Shall your brethren go to war while you sit here? Now, why will you discourage the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?”
God promised the land that flows with milk and honey, but the children of Gad and children of Reuben wanted to settle for land with milk. The children of Gad’s great multitude of livestock must have prompted for their settle for milk not considering milk and honey as promised by God.
In the journey of life, replacing commitment to God’s word with self-convince will not arrive at God’s promise.
Commitment is not convenient, but it is self-sacrifice before God.
One that compromises God’s word is not committed to God’s word.
Are you sincerely committed to the word of God?
In the journey of life, be committed to God and remain connected to the promise of God.

Prayer for today: Ask God for His hand to keep you for Him with commitment.

FAITH CAPSULE: Do you have the desire not to be a failure in the journey of life before God?

Hebrews 3

As an acclaimed believer of God’s word, are you reading to study the word of God; to become one which the word of God can be read in you as a true believer of God without the verbal introduction of self as a believer of God?
The word of God should be approached as a mirror continually to be addressing or re-addressing self and live life according to God’s command.
In this wicked world, the written word of God is also like a compass that is available for all man to engage as instruction and direction to arrive at God’s promises in the journey of life.
Mirror demands from its user to look into it for understanding to dress right while Compass demands learning for understanding to move forward in the journey of life.
The written word of God demands to look and learn to gain understanding.
Romans 15:4 buttresses, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
Are you giving time to learn from the written word of God to learn and gain in His promise for the journey of life?
Pay attention to instruction and direction in the word of God’s word by following through in the journey of life.
Following the word of God will mark you as His disciple.
Disciple comes with discipline.
Discipline is keeping the word of God to obtain the promise of God.
Discipline is training that corrects, molds, or perfects man before God.
Dedication comes along with discipline.
It is HARD and can be harsh to maintain discipline.
Keeping journey with focus is discipline.
For all man, the journey of life is set to sail not to miss with the written word of God as a compass in place to direct and, as a mirror to be looking into for self-dressing or re-addressing self to be pleasing God.
Through the pages of the Bible, anyone with the desire to learn from documentation about such as Contentment, Covetousness, Complaint, Compromise, Commitment, Conscience, and Continuity will gain direction and be dressed in the written word of God not to become a victim of failure in the journey of life.
With the desire to live life by the word of God in the journey of life is with the evidence of disciplined to be focused on God continually, regardless of challenges of life.
Are you one with the desire to live life by pleasing God?
Do you have the desire not to be a failure and not arrive at the center of God’s divine assignment for your life?
In the journey of life, desire with prayer, to live life for the glory of God.

Prayer for today: Ask God that you will not walk out of His word to miss His mercy that endures forever.

FAITH CAPSULE: Give self to God’s word to live a sacrificial life before God.

Romans 12

Self-satisfaction has taken the place of living life of sacrifice before for God.
Being conformed to the world around you has taken over your commitment unto God.
What is it that is satisfying outside of God?
To be alive thus far in your journey of life is not the evidence that you are doing right before God but the privilege of God.
David testifies that the distance between death and life is a step. (1 Samuel 20:3) You have taken uncountable steps today and yet you are still standing is a reason for living life by God’s grace.
Romans 12:1 speaks clearly to all that will listen to give attention as commanded by God’s word, “I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
The word of God requests from all to present the bodies as a living sacrifice but not as self-satisfied.
Are you living a self-satisfied instead of living a life of sacrifice before God?
Do you have a justified reason not live a sacrificial life before God?
Living self-sacrifice before God is with the understanding that God is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. (Psalm 145:17)
The identifies standard to serve God is to love Him and seek Him diligently with the evidence of faith.
Proverbs 8:17 records, “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me.”
Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Get to know God by His word to live life sacrificially before Him.
Are you living the life of self-satisfied or you are living a sacrificial life before God?
Among identities of one that lives the life of sacrifice before God will not live in sin, will love the Lord God and have hate for evil. The word of God speaks, “You who love the LORD, hate evil…!” (Psalm 97:10)
“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.” (Proverbs 8:13)
It is not possible to love God and love evil. Do you?
Living a sacrificial life for God is acceptable before God, it is a reasonable service but not a seasonal service before God.
Living a sacrificial life before God is a testimony of living a life of continual commitment to God’s word, which is acceptable before God. Romans 12:2 admonishes, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Giving self obediently to God’s word is a must with no condition to disobey his command. If the word of God is not possible to obey, God will not have given His word as the command for man’s obedient.
Give self to God’s word to live a sacrificial life before God.

Prayer for today: Ask from God that you want to live a life of sacrifice before Him.

FAITH CAPSULE: Experience of waiting with patience is rooted in watch and pray.

Psalm 69

In the journey of life, it is always better when taking to every word of God as a warning which will always encourage and serve as a direction not to miss in the presence of God. Jesus word asked for all man to pray and watch, not just to pray.
Bible records:
Matthew 26:41, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Mark 13:33, “Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.”
Luke 21:36, “Watch, therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Watching and praying is a command to obey God, the evidence of seeking God diligently.
Experience of waiting with patience:
Experience of waiting with patience is rooted in obedience to the repeated word of Jesus’ asking from all to watch and pray. One that watches in time of prayer will understand and know not to look away from God but looking up to God for an answer. With watching and praying, waiting with patience will be the expectation for manifestation.
Waiting of time on God is not in waiter’s control but demands patience to get an answer from God.
Waiting on God can take longer than expected or shorter than expected when one is waiting to hear from God.
For example, when Mr. A’s short time of waiting before God to get an answer from God, it does not mean that Mr. B’s experience with a short or long time will get the same answer of Mr. A.
Is your waiting experience before God for answers taking longer than expected?
King David, once at a time of waiting for God’s salvation, testified his experience as stated: “Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am weary with my crying; my throat is dry; my eyes fail while I wait for my God.” (Psalm 69:1-3)
King David encountered a grave challenge when he could not stand but sank in a deep mire. In his challenge, there was no sign of any answer for his deliverance, yet he does not look away from God. David did not have a “back-up plan for his faith” but to wait on God without ceasing.
In a time of King David’s waiting, he prayed: “But as for me, my prayer is to You, O LORD, in the acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy, hear me in the truth of Your salvation deliver me out of the mire and let me not sink…” (Psalm 69:13-14)
The combination of prayer and expectation; waiting patiently before God will position man for getting answers from God. Give self to the word of God and be able to recognize your answer from God when it comes.

Prayer for today: Ask God for his word to be established in your life.

FAITH CAPSULE: In life, having content is having satisfaction.

Philippians 4

In the journey of life, one with contentment is set to arrive at the center of God’s divine assignment.
With contentment in the journey of life is with the evidence of disciplined to be focused on God continually, regardless of challenges of life.
Are you one that is called by God?
God’s calling comes with challenges which demand the character of contentment for one to excel for the glory of God.
Moses is one with contentment that arrived at God’s divine assignment for his life.
Moses’ killing of the Egyptian on behalf of his Hebrew brother made him flee to Midian (desert land) for his life.
Contentment was a pointer for Moses and qualified him before God to become a leader of the children of Israelites to bring them out of the bondage of over four hundred years in Egypt to God’s Promised Land. Exodus 2:21 described Moses, “Then Moses was content to live with the man, and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses.” Moses was content, he was disciplined and could not miss the calling of God as a leader for God’s assignment.
In life, having content is having satisfaction.
To be set up for God’s assignment consciously or unconsciously discipline to fear God must be in line with satisfaction regardless of a challenging situation. Proverbs 19:23 records, “The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.”
Contentment is satisfaction. The book of 1Timothy 6: 6-10 states it, “Now godliness with contentment is a great gain.
The book of Philippians 4:4-7 mentioned the identities of one with contentment that is living life in satisfaction, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Contentment encases the peace of God, rejoicing, gentleness, lack of anxious but rendering prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving to God in one’s life.
In the journey of life, a man that is contented shall not be covetous in the calling of God.
Evidently, Moses is an example of one with satisfaction (contentment) and Ecclesiastes 5:10 records what it means when there is no satisfaction, “He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase…”
Are you a believer with contentment that answers to the calling of God?
Are you a content believer before God and put off the desire for materials?
With the calling of God in your life, avoid self-desire, do not to outrun God’s provisions for self’s possessions.
Be contented in life and serve God with steadfastness.
Have faith, give self to God.
