HOPE IN YOUR HEART?

FAITH CAPSULE: Hope is rooted in believe.

Numbers 20

Claiming to have hope in God is not only by mouth but must be rooted in the heart. Anyone that does not keep heart diligently as requested by God’s word cannot and does not understand and know to have hope in God.  The word of God stated: “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)
Do you have a heart with hope in God?
The Bible records what it takes to have hope in God: “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear…”
A heart that is sanctified (separated) for God will have hope in God.
A heart that is sanctified to God is a heart that seeks God diligently.
Among ways to sanctify heart for God, to have hope in God is meditating the word of God.
Meditating the word of God:
Joshua 1:8 records the meaning of meditating to have the heart for hope: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Giving self’s heart to God in His word day and night will no doubt do according to the word of God and have hope in God. Giving self to meditating God’s word day and night will know God enough to trust and remain standing in hope for God’s response. Meditate the word of God but not just to memorize God’s word.
Sanctifying heart to God is hallowing God:
Hallowing God according to His command is the evidence of heart with hope. When the word of God locates a man for direction, hope in the man’s heart will do as commanded. Moses could not do as commanded by God but do against the word of God. The Bible records about Moses failure to hallow God when God said: “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.” So Moses took the rod from before the Lord as He commanded him. And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, “Hear now you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?”  Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank. Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” (Matthew 20:7-12)
A failure not to believe God for His word is not having hope to do as commanded by God.

Prayer for today: Ask God to establish His word in your heart to trust and hope in Him.

IT IS A MUST TO FEAR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: To fear God is a must for all man to avoid living a wasteful life.

Deuteronomy 6

Fearing God without ceasing is finding and gaining access to God without failure. Do you fear God? There is none that is born to this world with the fear of God. To fear God is rooted in studying the word of God to have faith in God. God treasures those who fear Him. To fear God is the way not to live a wasted life.
With fear of God is taking a position to be claiming the promise of God.
Among the promises of fearing God are:
The fear of the Lord prolongs days. (Proverbs 10:27)
In the fear of the Lord, there is strong confidence. (Proverbs 14:26)
The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:27)
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom. (Proverbs 15:33)
By the fear of the Lord, one departs from evil. (Proverbs 16:6)
The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil. (Proverbs 19:23)
By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life. (Proverbs 22:4)
The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them. (Psalm 34:7)
The fear of the Lord is His treasure. (Isaiah 33:6)
To fear God is a must for all man to avoid living a wasteful life.
The Bible’s question is for those who claim serving God: “serve the Lord with fear.”(Psalm 2:11) Are you serving God with fear? Does your way of life demonstrate the fear of God?
Is it your desire to live life by fearing God?
The desire to have the fear of God is not in determination without prayer. Peter determined not to deny Jesus but the prayer of Jesus answered for him not to fail but stand for Christ.
Jesus told us to ask, seek and knock in Matthew 7:7 and God also said the He will give when He said, “…I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.” Why not begin to pray earnestly to God, to give you one heart, one way to fear Him?
Make it a serious point to live life with the fear of God. In the journey of life, Abraham served God because he feared God. Hebrews 11:8 testified, “By faith, Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.”
To be living life year after years without the fear of God is not God’s will for all His creation. Just like Abraham, fear God to be obeying His word for remaining in His presence.

Prayer for today: Ask God to give you a one heart and one way to fear God in all days He has given you.

IT IS TIME!

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you available for God’s calling?

Genesis 37

Until a man is stripped off of this world, to be decorated by the living word of God for declaring awesomeness of God over a man’s life will not be possible. Are you available for God’s calling? One that is called by God and set for God’s calling indeed and in truth will live life for the glory of God. When God calls a man, with no idea of God’s calling, challenges will come with many afflictions but deliverance is in the hand of God for the called one. Psalm 34:19 buttressed, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Have you been called or are you on a journey with no idea of the journey’s destination?
Joseph had a colorful life because of his father’s love for him above his brothers. Jacob, the father of Joseph testified his love for Joseph as stated in Genesis 37:3, “Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children because he was the son of his old age. Also, he made him a tunic of many colors.”
Are you experiencing a colorful life with no expectation of calling that is able to discolor your life but yet not able to terminate your deliverance to the glory of God? Genesis 37:23 records the stripping of Joseph unexpectedly from his brothers, So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him. (Genesis 37:23)
God knows the agent of stripping you for God’s positioning of your life’s journey.
Pray for God’s established hand upon your life to live life for His glory.
When God calls to send you, self-control shall be out of your control.
When He called Joseph, he became a slave; he could no longer move at his own will or self-control. Joseph came under the authority which he could not control. Calling of God will lead called into an unknown route where learning is waiting for called one to know and become obedient to God. Jesus learned obedience by the things which He suffered that means ones that He calls is not exempt to be excused from having Jesus’ experience.
When God calls to send you, there will be the experience of an uncomfortable of a chain, pain, and iron which restricts one’s movement. When He sends you, input from you to control time and timing in your journey is not relevant because He alone will be in charge of controlling time.
The journey to get to the divine assignment is in the hand of God.
Just like Joseph, are you on a journey which destination is not known to you? As an acclaimed believer, remain the focus, knowing that same God that saw Joseph through to his divine assignment will also see you through without falling off.

Prayer for today: Ask from God for the strength to move you in His direction over your life.

ABOUT THE THIRD

FAITH CAPSULE: Something about the third has to do with God’s visitation, redemption, and resurrection.

Esther 5

Exodus 19:10-11 records, “Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow and let them wash their clothes. And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.” The third day was God’s choice to visit His people. Something about the third has to do with God’s visitation, redemption, and resurrection. The life of Moses, Esther and the life Jesus Christ of Nazareth testify to the miracle of the third. God is the same yesterday, today and forever, He shall visit you for your miracle of the third.
Moses’ time of the third: At the time Moses was born, Pharaoh’s pronouncement of the death penalty for every son born by Hebrew women was in effect. As a result, Moses’ mother decided to hide him. Moses’ mother, “…Hid him for three months.” (Exodus 2:2) When Moses was brought out in the third month, he ended up in the compassionate care of the murderer’s palace. Moses’ mother, “… took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank.” (Exodus 2:3) On the third month, Pharaoh’s daughter saw the ark of bulrushes at the bank of the river and when she opened it, “…She saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children” (Exodus 2:6) Moses was brought out on the third month for his redemption.
Esther’s time of the third: The favor that brought deliverance for Mordecai and the Israelites in the hand of the wicked Harman began on the third day when Esther stepped on King’s court. It is written, “Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace, across from the king’s house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house. So it was when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand…” (Esther 5:1-2)
Jesus’ time of the third: Jesus our Lord and savior chose to stun the devil when He resurrected on the third day. The miracle of the third cannot be undermined, God does nothing by accident. Claim the miracle of the third, remind God as stated in Isaiah 43:26, “Put me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case that you may be acquitted.”  State your case before God to claim your miracle of the third. God is not partial but will attend to your case.

Prayer for today: Ask from the Ancient of days, to give you the miracle of the third.

GIVE GOD A FREE WILL THANKSGIVING

FAITH CAPSULE: A free will thanksgiving to God is with joyful and a loud voice.

Psalm 100

Deuteronomy 5:8 records declaration of God, “…For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God…” God is a jealous God. Deuteronomy 32:21 records God’s reaction to Israelites wrong sacrifice, “They have provoked Me to jealousy by what is not God; They have moved Me to anger by their foolish idols…”
It must be clear and settled in all man to know that God pays attention to receive sacrifice which will provoke God to jealousy that moves Him to bless. Among sacrifice to God for His blessing is giving Him thanksgiving.
Hebrews 13:15 buttressed, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Begin to provoke God for His attention with continual thanksgiving. Giving thanks to God is not “thinking thanks” but giving thanks.
God alone is worthy of constant and consistent thanksgiving. Ability to count the number of thanks to God is an evidence of shortage giving thanks to God. God is worthy of an uncountable number of thanksgivings every moment. Are you in place thinking thanksgiving to God? Thinking Thanksgiving to God is not the same as Thanksgiving but a muted thanksgiving that is not worth it for a Worthy God.
For Worth caring God, the Bible verses stated thanksgiving for our learning: “And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer it of your own free will.” (Leviticus 22:29)
A free will thanksgiving is with shout joyful to God and declaring His works with rejoicing.
Psalm 95:2 records, “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.” Psalm 107:22 “Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing.”
Another free will of giving thanks to God is not hiding from giving thanks to God but giving a loud voice of thanksgiving to God. Bible records the need of a voice in a time of giving thanks to God, “Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.” (Jeremiah 30:19) “But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving.” (Jonah 2:9)
Giving thanks that are rooted in loud voice was demonstrated by Jesus when Lazarus came out of death to life, “…Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11:41-44)
With understanding, give God thanksgiving as a reasonable sacrifice to provoke God for His blessing.

Prayer for today: Ask for understanding not to fail from locating God for His visitation over your life.
