CONFESS POSITIVE NOT NEGATIVE

FAITH CAPSULE: Tongue is responsible for confession what the heart carries.

2 Kings 4

Where there is consecutive of heavy downpour of rain or constant snowfall, man is prone to confessing day as “bad day” What name are you giving or confessing to your day or your season? In confessing negative or positive man should be expecting what is confessed. Tongue is responsible for confession what the heart carries. Bible warned, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. What are you saying to your life?”
With tongue, what are you calling your child, your marriage, your business or your challenging situation? The warning word in the bible is consistent to perform. Man should learn to be conscious and be cautious by paying attention to not confessing death but life in challenging situation of life. Truly, the word of God is written for our learning if man will be giving self to learn in the word of God as prescription for the way of living life. It is written, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)
The lesson to learn for confessing positive in the face of negative is recorded in the story of Shunammite woman. The Shunammite woman had no child and her husband was at old age when Elisha prayed for her to conceived and she bore a son. The child grew and one day he was sick and had untimely death. The woman did not accept death for her son despite the fact that her son was dead. The woman’s husband does not know about challenging situation of son’s death. When husband was curious about his wife’s visitation to Elisha, his question and his wife’s response is recorded in 2Kings 4:23, “…Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, “It is well.” Woman’s response was positive in the place of negative confession.
The Shunamite woman remained on constant positive confession. The woman’s positive confession was rooted in her heart against doubt as she could not be discouraged by her surroundings. It is worthy to be approaching every day with positive confession in all ways regardless of how negativity lays its trap for man’s going and coming.
Challenging situation under heaven has always been and it will not stop happening but man should learn to begin to keep it in heart that communicating by confessing positive not negative flows from heart. Proverbs 4:23 admonished, “Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it spring the issues of life.”
Be confessing positive with no negativity.

Prayer for today: Ask for the word of God to reign and rule over your life.

LOOK UP TO FATHER GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Get to know God, He is a Father God but not a god father.

Acts 3

God is a good sustaining source for one that will KNOW Him as merciful and gracious God. Looking up to God is giving attention with intention to receive favorable answer. Imagine a lame man from his mother’s womb with no experience of stepping on his leg since he was born. The lame man in his poor situation was only asking for alms. On that faithful day, begging for alms was converted to coming out of stagnation into gaining favorable motion from God. The bible recorded, “Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.” (Acts 3:4-5) With attention, are you looking up to God the good sustenance of man? In every expectation to receive from God, giving attention is a key to experience God’s visitation with answer. The lame man was commanded by Peter to look up for expectation before he gave his attention for favorable answer. In every area of your expectation, looking up to God with knowledge of God is the only way to receive. Knowing God is not knowing about God, knowing God is not looking outside of God by looking for a god father. Looking for a god father after prayer is a diluted faith and is not an evidence of looking up to Father God in time of expectation. Get to know God, He is a Father God but not a god father.
Another lame man heard from Paul and gained a position to receive his healing breakthrough from stagnation unto motion. It is written, “In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked.  He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed and called out, and “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.” (Acts 14:8-10) In life, get to know God by looking up to God with expectation. Give intention and listen to receive at the visitation of God. The crippled man’s miracle came to life when he heard the healing word through Paul. The word of God will deliver healing to those who listen and hear when looking up to God. Faith to heal is encased in hearing and hearing the word of God. The crippled man heard the word through Paul, and not only did he stand on his feet as Paul spoke to him, the crippled man leaped! You have been grounded for too long. Listen; give attention to for God’s unfailing visitation. By looking up to God, one will sing a new song of deliverance; one will dance to God celebrating His favor and mockery shall be converted to miracle in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace that is privileged of His favor over your life.

GET TO KNOW GOD!

FAITH CAPSULE: Learn truth in the word of God to know God.

Psalm 46

Knowing God is different from Knowing about God. Knowing God is STANDARD that is set by God for man to gain and retain God’s presence. Knowing God to gain and retain God’s presence is certain not to be a victim of failure.
Knowing God is the evidence of having faith to be doing according to the word of God. Doing according to the word of God is obedience to God. Knowing God is what it takes for man to be consistently constant doing right before God.
Knowing God is serving God pleasingly but not pleasing self in serving God. A failure to do according to the word of God is evidence of not knowing God. Suffering is sad. Man, or acclaimed believer will suffer without KNOWING. Truly, God is a great merciful God. Acclaimed believer that is not living for God as a believer is the evidence of not taking God serious with honor just as prophet does not get honor among His people. Jesus made a statement in line of lack of knowledge which denies man from giving honor to prophet among His people, “…A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” (Matthew 13:57)
Knowing to gain and retain the presence of God is LEARNING TO UNDERSTAND AND KNOW that God is absolutely in charge of man’s life. Without KNOWING GOD, man is set for self-destruction as it is written in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” Imagine devastation of lack of knowledge of God’s people?
Supposedly, man in position to know God for doing according to the word of God but not doing according to God’s word shall not possess the promise of God according to His word. For example, it is lack of knowledge that will deny man from answering to God as His priesthood. Priesthood is a calling, a position or a role for God.  What is God’s promise in place for man as His priesthood? 1 Peter 2:9-10 answered to man’s need to know God for claiming God’s promise, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
Learn truth in the word of God to know God. Romans 15:4 admonished, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning…” Above all, there is no excuse not to know God in His word as warned in John 8:32, And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Come out of ignorance, be responsible to learn and know God. Answer God as royal priesthood, live life to claim God’s promises.

Prayer for today: Ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His word.

WHAT MAN ORDERS

Faith Capsule: Do not order negative by confessing negativity.

Numbers 14

What man orders is rooted in the heart and it flows out of mouth. What are you thinking? What is it you are confessing? Proverbs 4:23 is talked about what comes out of heart through mouth as stated, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” A heart that is well kept will keep positive thought and avoiding negative thought. It is positive thought or negative thought that often turns to positive or negative confession. Proverbs 18:21 recorded the effectiveness of what comes out of tongue, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Whatever man orders for will surely arrive at appointed time.
Through the pages of the Bible, what was ordered by man’s thought and confession out were delivered with consequences. In the days after the flood, men gathered and stated, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:4) A careless thought provokes a negative confession about fear of not getting scattered. Genesis 11:7-8 recorded, “Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.’ So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.” God heard the negative communication which asked for being scattered and they were all scattered. The people ordered negative thought and negative confession which eventually got them scattered.
After the bondage of over four hundred years, negative communication took charge over the journey of the Israelites to Promised Land and they were terminated. The Israelites responded to the negative report of spies by confessing negative “…If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt…” (Numbers 14:2-4) God with good plan for the Israelites could not stop them from their choice of negative thoughts and confession which they ordered. God responded, “…I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me. Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you: The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above.” (Numbers 14:27-29) The Israelites thought and confessed death and all died as confessed except for Joshua and Caleb who confessed positively. Do not order negative but positive in the place of thought and communication.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace of God not to become a victim of negative thought or confession.

GOD HEARS!

Faith Capsule: In your situation, are you receiving discouraging news?

Isaiah 38

Going through the pages of bible, it is worthy to get knowledge that God hears to answer. God does not sleep at man’s doing. He is a living God and His eyes go to and fro all over His creation. 2 Chronicles 16:9 recorded, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself…” Whatever a man is doing in the eyes of God will deliver answer from God to man. God sees and hears to answer. In the case of Hannah, 1 Samuel 1:5-6 recorded, “But to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved Hannah, although the Lord had closed her womb.  And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the Lord had closed her womb.” Hannah was barren because the Lord closed her womb. However, when she engaged in prayer of persistence Eli the priest saw her; mistook her for drunk and prayed for her stating, “…Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.” (1 Samuel 1:17) Prayer was rendered to God by Eli on behalf of Hannah. Hannah’s response to her opened womb to have Samuel testified that God hears and answers prayer. 1 Samuel 1:20, recorded, “So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.” Hannah asked and God that hears gave her answer.
Hezekiah violated before God and was set for untimely death. Isaiah 38:1 recorded, “In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’” Hezekiah refused to give up according to the message of Isaiah from God.
In your situation, are you receiving discouraging news? Remember, there is God that is in the business to see and hear man’s petition.
Indeed, Hezekiah had no choice but turned himself to God in prayer. God heard Hezekiah with response as it is written, “And the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying, “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.” (Isaiah 38:4-5) God is a proven God that does not have reason to prove Himself for any man under heaven. He is Unchanging changer to do as it pleases Him if man will do what pleases Him. God is absolutely in charge, He is the Commanding in command. Hannah was persistently un-discouraged before God to get answer from God that hears. Hezekiah wept bitterly before God while he reminded God about his reputable walks before God to get his healing answer from God. God hears and He will answer you.

Prayer for today: Ask for God’s mercy to hear and give answer to your challenging situation.
