REST IN JESUS!

FAITH CAPSULE: With Jesus, man is set to overcome. Rest your case in Jesus!

Psalm 34

The book of Job 1:3 recorded possessions of Job, “…seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.”  Job was blessed physically, materially and spiritually. The word of God described Job as a blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. (Job1:1) He was also blessed with seven sons and three daughters. In one day, without warning, Job lost his blessings despite his standing in the Lord.
Job lurched from the pinnacle of prosperity to the pit of poverty. Disasters located Job from earth and heaven. From earth, his livestock and servants were raided and killed by the Sabeans. From heaven, fire fell and burned up the sheep and servants and great wind destroyed his house and killed his children. As if the loss of Job’s property and children was not enough his health became a victim of unexpected attack. Job was struck, “…with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes.” (Job 2:7-8) Amid it all, Job did not despise his God. Job, a blameless and upright man with the fear of God could not be excused from challenges of this world. Job’s three friends were the representation of world complicating Job’s challenge. Job’s world took a position discouraging Job in his affliction. The three friends questioned Job’s standing in the Lord and concluded it was the result of Job’s sin before God.
Job’s affliction was the request of Satan when Satan went before God as stated, But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” (Job 1:11) God did not deny the request of Satan but responded, “…Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.”” (Job 1:12) True indeed, the devil is an adversary of man before God. Satan has been moving around for whom to devour.
Under heaven, man is to take stand in the living God for unfailing deliverance regardless of affliction. Psalm 34:19 is encouraging as stated, Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” As if the Psalmist is not enough encouragement, Jesus assurance is certain to deliver stating, The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) Satan is a liar, a blatant thief. With Jesus, man is set to overcome. Rest your case in Jesus!

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace to deny the hands of wicked concerning your life.

IT MATTERS BEFORE GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Man is right before God accepting Jesus but with no loyal heart in the sight of God.

2Chronicles 25

What kind of believer in the name of Jesus are you? In the name of Jesus, you are doing right but without a loyal heart in the sight of God. Today, so many acclaimed believers are doing right before man and God but without a loyal heart in the sight of the Lord. It is in this wicked world that man is doing right in the name of God but with no loyal heart in the sight of God. Does that sound like you? Amaziah is one that did right before God but not loyal before God. The book of 2Chronicles 25:1-2 recorded, “Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.  And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a loyal heart.”
Man is right before God accepting Jesus as the Lord and savior but not loyal in the sight of God. Man is right coming out on a regular basis to worship God in the church but not loyal in the sight of God. Does that sound like you or like your mentor?
Amaziah’s right doing in the sight of God was documented, “Now it happened, as soon as the kingdom was established for him, that he executed his servants who had murdered his father the king. However he did not execute their children, but did as it is written in the Law in the Book of Moses, where the Lord commanded, saying, “The fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall the children be put to death for their fathers; but a person shall die for his own sin.” (2Chronicles 25:3-4) Amaziah carefully obeyed the Law in the book of Moses and it was counted for him as doing right in the sight of God.
Amaziah’s lack of no loyal heart in the sight of God was revealed after winning a battle against the Edomites. It was a battle he would not have been able to win but divine intervention of God gave victory to him and Judah when they defeated the Edomites. After his victory, “he brought the gods of the people of Seir, set them up to be his gods, and bowed down before them and burned incense to them.  Therefore the anger of the Lord was aroused against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him, “Why have you sought the gods of the people, which could not rescue their own people from your hand?”” (2Chronicles 25:14-15) Amaziah was unwilling to listen to the prophet sent by God.  Amaziah could not maintain loyal heart for God that won him battle.
Today, many answers as Amaziah doing right in the sight of God but with no loyal heart in the sight of God. Be committed to God doing right and maintaining a loyal heart in the sight of God.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace of God to live right with a loyal heart before God.

TO EXPERIENCE DIVINE VISITATION?

FAITH CAPSULE: Among ways for experiencing His divine visitation are:

Genesis 18

BE SPIRITUAL:To be spiritual is to be prepared to receive from God by separating self to God. For example, spending time in the word of God continually is taking a position to experience God’s visitation in His word. God gave His word to Moses for His people, “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.  And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.” (Exodus 19:10-11) Prescription in the word of God was to prepare the Israelites and be ready to experience God. With sin no man can reach God but to be spiritual is to experience Godly visitation.
ENGAGE EFFECTIVE PRAYER:Engaging effective prayer is to shut in with God and shut out the world. Man should prayerful seek God diligently at prayer altar to experience His divine visitation. Jeremiah 29:13-14 recorded, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.  I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity…” Without doubt, prayer is an opening key to asses the presence of God for His wonders.
WALK IN OBEDIENCE: Living life in obedient to God’s command is a certainty to remain and retain the presence of God. To be obedient to God is the evidence of faithfulness and not be a vessel of evil agenda. Transmission of divine instruction answers in one that is obedient to God. John 14:21 recorded, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
BE SPIRITUALLY SENSITIVE: Spiritually sensitive is to be spiritually awake and not miss out of divine visitation which will position man in God’s divine assessment under heaven. With spiritual sensitivity, sanctify your environment (where you stand, sit or walk) talk wise and be watchful. Abraham could not miss unexpected divine visitation when he received the message of son of promise and the message to deliver Lot from destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 18)
BE PRAISE FULL BEFORE GOD: Praising and giving thanks to God is like being pregnant with wonders of God. Jesus’ thanks giving to God delivered provision in the place of lack. (John 6:6-11) Experiencing the wonder of God in praising and giving thanks to God qualifies man for fresh anointing. Psalm 92:1 stated, “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High…” with praise and thanks giving, head never dry of oil as confirmed in Psalm 92:10, “But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.” Be thankful and qualify for fresh oil.
Word of God is instruction. Man, that is lost from God’s word will lost from God’s presence for His wonders.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace to encounter His divine visitation.

EXPERIENCING WONDERS OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Abraham had encounter to experience the wonder of God.

Genesis 12

Divine (Godly) visitation of God is an asset in man’s journey of life. God divine visitation can be on the literal platform which is word platform. God is still appearing to people literally, through His word. God does not announce His visitation but when man is available at His visitation it is possible for man to experience termination of life struggle. When man is not available at the time of divine visitation man shall take a position to miss divine assignment in life.
God’s visiting of man will surely reposition man’s journey in life. Genesis 50:24, “And Joseph said to his brethren, “I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”
God visited Israelites in the bondage of over four hundred years and they were re-positioned by God.
Abraham had unannounced divine visitation in the word of God which changed him from his position to God’s position. There was not record that Abraham saw God in the physical but divine visitation of God was in the presence of His word. Abraham had encounter to experience the wonder of God. The word of God unplugged him out of his country, family and his father’s house to unknown land. (Genesis 12:1-2) Abraham’s encounter with divine visitation replaced him for greatness to the glory of God.
Moses had no plan to return to Egypt after he escaped murder charge against him for killing an Egyptian. Divine visitation of God replaced him for God’s glory. It is written, “Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.  Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”” (Exodus 3:1-4) Moses’ divine encounter was in the word of God and he was led into God’s divine assignment for his life.
Giving self continually to the word of God is taking a position not to miss out of God’s visitation. Through the pages of the bible, story of man’s life for the glory of God is the secret of God. Man, that know understanding of God made the secret of as dwelling place and could not miss out of God’s divine assignment under heave. Divine visitation is not an encounter for any man to miss divine assignment to become wasted under heaven.

Prayer for today: Ask for God’s visitation and not live a wasted life.

ENCOUNTER GOD’S WONDERS

FAITH CAPSULE: Seek God with ardent diligent to encounter His presence and experience His wonder.

Psalm 91

The word of God is God. Encountering the presence of God to experience His wonder is in the word of God. However, the word of God is secret but not hidden to man that seek God for encounter to experience God. Isaiah 45:19 testified, “I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain’; I, the Lord, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.” Seeking to encounter His presence for His wonders demands ardent diligent in His word. Without doubt, seeking God in His word shall not be in vain.
Are you seeking God casually or diligently? Seek God diligently in His word as a dwelling place as stated in Psalm 91:1, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” In the word of God is the place to encounter and experience the presence of God if man will seek God’s word diligently.
Bible recorded wonders of God in His word: Psalmist testified wonder of God in the word of God, “You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.” (Psalm 119:114) Seeking for hiding place in God as shield is wonderful. God as shield is the promise to be gained by dwelling and abiding in God’s word with earnest hope not man’s mouth-full hope. Man should take God’s word which has never failed as spoken in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Psalm 119:116
revealed secret to be encountered by man that seek God, “Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope.”
Man, that is seeking the secret of God will also be a testimony of Psalm 119:133 as stated, “Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dromion over me.” Giving attention to know understanding in the word of God is seeking God for wonders in the word of God. In this wicked world, the peace of God is secret which is obtainable for man through Jesus (the word of God). It is written, “… and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7) Peace of God does not happen in the life of man by accident but by engaging the secret of God. Engaging secret (word) of God is engaging His presence to experience wonders of God which does not fail.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace to seek Him diligently for encounter of His wonders.
