COMMIT ALL TO GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: From today know and begin to commit your entire to your Creator.

Genesis 11:1-9

Power is wealth and wealth is a blessing. The Bible makes us to realize that God is the one that gives to get wealth; He alone makes man to be rich. However, every wealth or riches that are not from God cannot be established. At a point in time, man wanted to rub shoulders with God by their proposal to build into the heavens. It is written, “Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:3-4)  When God proposes, no man can dispose. When He disposes, man cannot propose. Have you been proposing without God? Have you taken your proposal before God to find out whether or not it is in line with Him? As an acclaimed believer of God, it is important for all of your proposals to involve God.
It does not matter what you are, who you are, or where you are. You have to remember that you are under heaven and not beyond your Creator’s reach. God created all for His glory. Revelation 4:11 declared, “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” Motive behind the built of Babel was in along with God for His glory, honor and power. The people stated, “let us build ourselves a city” The people wanted to build outside of their creator. The people were not mindful of God for His glory, honor and power. What are you trying to accomplish without consulting your Creator? Are you one that wants to stand tall above and beyond your Creator that is in the highest? Are you also considering making a name for yourself? Is it your desire to be proclaimed all over that “you have made it”?
Nothing is wrong in desire to become multiply in the blessings of God. However, desire that does not center on God is an indirect withdrawal from God the only creator of man. He alone can establish man’s desire. It does not matter how huge or small is your proposal; take your desire to God for His glory, honor and power. Let you Creator know that He is in charge of all you desire which He has already known before you are created. He has seen the future from the past. He is a jealous God and He deserves all your attention. He created all things for His glory, honor and power. From today, make it your way of life to be committing all your desires, proposals, and dreams to your Creator with a humble heart and He will increase you.

Prayer for today: Ask for His grace to be committing your entire endeavor before Him.

GOD KNOWS

FAITH CAPSULE: Whatever God knows He either allows it or disallow it.

Esther 2

God is a God of times and seasons. When it was time for Joseph to be promoted from Prime Slave to Prime Minister, no devil under heaven could stop him. The brothers that sold him to slavery in attempt to deny him his dream, his God ordained divine assignment on earth were nowhere to be found. Are you afraid or concerned about the way things are going in your life? Is it where situation has positioned you that is causing you pain? As a child of God, fear is not what you need but prayer. We are to trust and hope the assurance of the word God as stated in the book of Exodus 14:14, “The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” That is clear enough for our understanding. All that a believer needs to do is to let God fight the battle, and the enemies that are visible and non-visible to us will never rise again. Above all, every pain shall be converted to gain.
With God, nothing goes by without Him knowing. Whatever God knows He either allows it or disallow it. God that is God of orderliness does have everything lined up according to time and season to maintain orderliness.
Esther did not and could not have become queen by accident but it happened at an appointed time during a season that was ordained by God. Esther came to the center of divine assignment when, “…Jew whose name was Mordecai the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite. Kish had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captives who had been captured with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away. And Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter, for she had neither father nor mother.” (Esther 2:5-7)  According to God’s timing, in God’s ordained season, Esther came into the country as a captive and became a captain among the queen of King Ahasuerus.
God’s way of operating is not man’s way. However, taking to God’s way by consciously obeying His direction or by entering into His way without one’s conscious choice is certain to deliver, to preserve and to promote man. God is not a failing God but a favorable God that cares for His creation.
Whatever or wherever situation or challenges is having you positioned today, hold on to God’s timing, it is the best. The book of Ecclesiastes 3:11settles it that, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” When His timing for you is around, the whole world will celebrate with you.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace to remain patient in the face of ever situation.

INESTIMABLE MERCY OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: In this wicked of today, focus on God to be in position for God’s inestimable mercy for constant deliverance and preservation.

Genesis 19

Are you conscious of your location in these days of wickedness? Are you paying attention to the time you are living? Where you are when deliverance comes to look for you will determine how you will be saved. It is one thing to be at the right place and at the right time; it is another to be able to identify that your deliverance is at hand. Rising and worshiping is an evidence of spiritual sensitivity.
When Sodom and Gomorrah was set to be destroyed because of sin and iniquity, God could not keep His plan away from Abraham but visited him and said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.” (Genesis 18:20-21) God in His inestimable mercy will not overlook sin but will make a way out for the righteous ones in the time of judgment.
Sodom was set to be destroyed and Lot was destined to be delivered. Lot could not miss his deliverance because he was in the right location at the right time. In life, it is not impossible for one to suffer from sudden and untimely destruction when one fails to be in the right location and at the right time. When the two angels sent by God came to Sodom, Lot was at the right place to be connected with God’s agent for his deliverance plan. Lot was not in an unusual location but at the right location. It is written, “Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and bowed himself with his face toward the ground.” (Genesis 19:1)
Lot saw them (angels) and rose to meet them. Lot also bowed himself to acknowledge them. Rising and worshiping when your deliverance comes knocking is important. Let every moment of your life be in focus for the hand of God to deliver when deliverance matters. How often have you seen people at the park or gate fall asleep? Lot could have slept and missed his deliverance. Because of the days in which we are living, and the depth of the sinful world, it is crucial for us to be constantly awake both in the spirit and the physical. Among the wicked people, in the land that was full of wickedness, Lot was in position to receive deliverance because of inestimable mercy of God.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace of inestimable mercy of God upon your life in this wicked times of man.

CHALLENGES AND CONFUSION?

FAITH CAPSULE: Combination of tough challenges and confusion is not enough for excuse to disobey the word of God.

Genesis 22

The combination of tough challenges and confusion will lead to making up excuses to disobey the word of God. However, before God there is no excuse-able excuse that is acceptable before God. Man that is fully obedient to the word of God without any reason for excuse to disobey the word of God will place man for God’s uncommon blessing. It is written, “Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham! “And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (Genesis 22:1-2)
After having waited for years to have a son, a call to go and offer the only son as a burnt offering can be exceedingly challenging. It was a call to be tested. Also the lack of direction to the exact mountain, among many mountains could have been confusing. The combination of tough challenges and confusion will lead to making up excuses. Abraham did himself a great favor when he was right with God. Abraham responded to God without excuse. Abraham’s responding action is what communicates the truth that he did not complain. Often, people respond with non-verbal way of communicating against God’s command. The Bible described’ Abraham’s response, “So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.” (Genesis 22:3) Without excuse for disobedient to God, Abraham rose up to God’s calling and that led him into possessing all of the promises of God. Rising up and answering to God’s command is the only way to place man in the center of receiving the promises of God.
Can you think of what is keeping you from obeying the word of God fully? In all of your walk and work on the face of the earth, is there any area you have allowed disobedient to the word of God? The lost son (Prodigal son) disobeyed against his father to move for his portion of goods before the appointed time. In his walk and work he suffered and he could not rise above challenges. When he came to himself, he made a decision by stating, “I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you.” The prodigal son knew to rise against his disobedient and seek his father for deliverance and preservation.
Are you experiencing combination of tough challenges and confusion in your walk and work? Let God’s word take of your walk and work.

Prayer for today: Ask for the glory to be obedient to the word of God in all your walk and work.

CONTINUOUS PRAYER

Faith Capsule: Today, deny fear but continuously engage prayer before God.

1 Samuel 1, Luke 1:1-25

Continuous prayer demands nonstop prayer without giving up to the fear of not getting answer. It is important to be engaging prayer with expectation regardless of challenging situation. God hears at all times. The Bible talked about Elkanah the husband of Peninnah and Hannah, This man went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. Also the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there.  And whenever the time came for Elkanah to make an offering, he would give portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and daughters. But to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved Hannah, although the Lord had closed her womb.” (1 Samuel 1:3-5) Hannah’s womb was closed by God. Hannah engaged prayer without knowing that God was responsible for her closed womb. It does not matter what the source of your challenge is but it is important to continually engage prayer. Prayer is not emotional demonstration before God but taking a place of expectation for manifestation.  While Hannah was praying to God, there was no record of complain. Despite her challenge she maintained her trip to Shiloh continually and the bible recorded, “So it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord…” (1Samuel 1:7) Hannah continually engaged prayer with expectation despite of her closed womb by God. Hannah could not succumb to fear despite provocation from Peninnah. Hannah remained persistent by going to Shiloh year after year.
Is there any reason for fear as a result of manifestation to your prayer?
Zacharias at his old age was visited by an angel. It is written, “But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.” (Luke 1:13) The angel that appeared to Zacharias with encouragement against afraid which is the hinderer of prayer. Prayer with being afraid does not deliver manifestation of prayer request. The prayer point of Zacharias was not mentioned but it can be concluded, from the word of the angel that Zacharias must have been praying against barrenness in his marriage. Prayer opens heaven and there is no door which prayer cannot open. In the life of Zacharias and Elizabeth; Elkanah and Hannah, prayer unlocked the door of barrenness and they were blessed with fruitfulness. Are you experiencing barrenness in any area of life? Today, deny fear from having a place in your life and be encouraged. The same God that remembered Hannah and Elizabeth is alive to open closed door. Allow prayer become continuously for the manifestation in your expectation.

Prayer for today: Ask God for His intervention in all that is representing barrenness in your life.
