NO LEGITIMATE EXCUSE

FAITH CAPSULE: Sin and sinning is not excusable before God.

A failure not to do the commandment of God’s word is nothing but disobedient. Disobeying God is sin. With sin, no man can reach God. Disobeying the word of God does not have excuse before God but only lead to consequence. Is sin and sinning your way of life? Adam and Eve violated the word of God and there was no reasonable excuse for their sin. Truly, Adam did not ask God for woman helper it was God’s idea for Adam to have an helper as documented, “…But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.  Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.” (Genesis 2:20-22)
God’s response to Adam’s sin and Adam’s excuse for his sin is recorded, Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So, he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
Adam’s excuse does not count before as the Lord God dealt him with the consequences of his sin. Be warned, know and understand that sin and sinning is not excusable before God. As a temple of God, are you taking care of your temple God? It is written, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16) For real, as a believer, do you not know that you are the temple (House) of God? As regard to the temple of God (you) the bible stated, the consequence of not knowing to take care of the temple of God, “If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” (1 Corinthians 3:17) Are you defiling the temple of God in you? It is important for man to be keeping the temple of God. God will not accept any excuse for the failure to be keeping temple.
Jesus, by His word and action clearly demonstrated the intolerance against not keeping the temple. Once, He drove out those who bought and sold in it. (Luke 19:45) Jesus declared the violation of the temple, “My house is a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves” (Luke 19:46) Are you violating His temple or you are elevating His temple?

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace not to be a failure in all the calling of God upon your life.

JESUS IS THE TRUTH

FAITH CAPSULE: Claiming to trust God without having hope in God is not complete to receive from God.

Exodus 33, Acts 3:1-10

Jesus has never lied but man, particularly acclaimed believers lies to themselves because of ignorance. Unfortunately, ignorance makes a destitute of a believer. More so, ignorance is the evidence of lack of knowledge…rejecting knowledge. Indeed, God is true when His word stated, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge…” (Hosea 4:6)
With understanding and knowledge, man shall be able to receive: when man recognizes the presence of God; man, should know not to look away when asking from God in the name of Jesus. Jesus does not lie when He declared,  “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Recognize God’s presence to receive: Moses, after having experienced the miracles of God, he could not recognized the presence of God when he called to God asking, Then Moses said to the Lord, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” (Exodus 33:12-13) Moses was asking God for His way because he was not able to see God’s presence. God responded to Moses by stating, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14) Just like Moses, are you asking to receive from God because you were not able to see His presence?
Do not look away from GOD to receive
A lame man was in right position and did correctly to receive his healing in the name of Jesus through Peter and John. However, for him not to be short from receiving of his asking, Peter prompted the lame man not miss out of his healing stating, “…Look at us.”  So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.” (Acts 3:4-5) Like the lame man, are you asking with attention but not looking at God for His hand?
In asking, in seeing His presence without looking away from Him is the clear evidence to trust and hope in God. Claiming to trust God without having hope in God is not complete to receive from God. Jeremiah 17:7, buttressed “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.” Jesus does not lie and He has never lied, He has never fail. God will give when asked from Him with understanding and knowledge. Whatever man do wrongly will not deliver right answer. To do right is to get right answer.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace of knowledge and understanding.

GIVE GOD ATTENTION

FAITH CAPSULE: God deserves all our attention at every breath of life.

Psalm 100, 150

Praising God can never be too much. Do you believe God enough to be praising Him for your raise in your entire walk? Praising God in the morning, afternoon and night will get a believer into the presence of God. God inhabits the praises of His people. Psalm 22:3 buttressed, “But you are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.” What will it cost you to let praising Him be your only language as you enter into a new day, a new week, a new month? Without doubt, constantly praising God is what will make all the difference in every walk of life.
Knowing and understanding God is what it means to be praising God. Psalm 47:7 stated “…sing praise Him with understanding” God deserves all our attention at every breath of life. He is a jealous God. When praising God is provoked by our understanding, God will revoke challenges of the enemy that are militating against our destiny.
God’s does not sleep as the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth. Under all circumstances, the eyes of God will sought out those who seek God’s heart with praise. King David, a man after God’s heart knows that in the heart of God praising Him with understanding is raising standard against our enemies. King David was speaking from his life time experiences when he testified, “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praise; so shall I be saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel 22:4) David understood quite well what it meant to be constantly praising God. Praising God with understanding will stop every hand of enemies. Every believing believer with understanding of constant praise for God takes a position not to be a victim of enemy that confronts man on a daily basis. Through the Bible, many wars were fought and won just by praising God that is worthy of praise.
Praising Him is not just in the mouth, but in the heart through the mouth. David repeatedly confessed his constant praise of God that delivered him from every hand of his enemies. Joshua and the Israelites praised God with understanding to open up the securely Jericho as the wall of hindrance fell flat for the breakthrough of the Israelites. God is worthy of a constant praise at all time in all situation. He alone dwells in an unapproachable light. Above all, God is the only One who inhabits eternity. He alone is the Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end; the ancient of days and the great I Am that I Am. In times of challenges, understand and know that God does not expire nor limited by time. Above all the different times is the grace and privilege of life. The Psalmist declared, Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” (Psalm 150:6) By virtue of the goodness and mercy of God, it cannot be too much to be praising God at every breath.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace to be praising God constantly.

PURPOSE OF COMMANDMENT

FAITH CAPSULE: Fear God, love God which is the purpose of God’s commandment.

Deuteronomy 6

Commandment of God is the purpose to fear God. It is written, “Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, that you may fear the LORD your God…” (Deuteronomy 6:1-3) Fearing God is to love Him. In life, love God by obeying all His commands. Failure to obey God is a failure to fear Him and not to love Him. God wants us to love Him as it is written, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:5) God is the Master creator and He does not demand from us what is impossible to do as commanded.
The purpose of commandment is written, “Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.” (1 Timothy 1:5) God’s standard is set in His word which does not return to Him void and we are to live in compliance to His standard.
Ones that keep their heart with all diligence will no doubt love with pure heart. Loving with pure heart is the only access to His presence just as stated by Jesus, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)
An acclaimed believer without good conscience is fault-full and will fall short of God’s standard. Paul the apostle acknowledges the importance of faith with good conscience when he testified before the council, “Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.” (Acts 23:1) As an acclaimed believer, one must avoid becoming fault-full by consciously engaging faithfulness with good conscience.
Loving from sincere faith is to be living with passion for the name of God like Phinehas the son of Eleazar who turned back the wrath of God from the children of Israel. The Israelites, while under God’s judgment for their harlotry in Moab, one of the children of Israel came with a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of the entire congregation who were weeping at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Phinehas reacted when he rose from among the congregation; he took a javelin and went after the man of Israel and killed him and the woman. God acknowledge Phineas’ zeal (Passion) and the plague stopped among the Israelites. (Numbers 25:6-11) Love is sincere; sincere faith is without reservation for God’s glory. True love for God is to fear. Know the purpose of His command; do not hold back your love from God.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace to be living by the commandment of God.

HUMILITY IS NEEDED

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you considering way to be humble in this challenging trouble.

1 King 21

Among ways to keep eye on God and not to become a faith failure in this challenging trouble is humility. To be humble is important to run the race of life without becoming a vessel of faith failure. Man must know God to be humble and not to be a vessel faith failure. Are you humble? It is written, “To be humble in the sight of God is to be lifted up by God.” (James 4:10) God does not oversee the humble ones but He is paying attention to the humble ones. Through the Bible, God repeatedly reversed irreversible when humility takes place in the life of man. Ahab was among many with humility before God to experience God’s mercy which reversed irreversible. When Ahab’s wicked ways positioned him in irreversible consequence before God, he became humble before God. God recognized Ahab’s humility and He reversed Ahab from calamity consequence. 1 King 21:29 recorded God’s response to Ahab’s humility, “See how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the calamity in his days. In the days of his son I will bring the calamity on his house.”
God is consistent to His word if we are committed to His word by keeping eye on God in time of challenging trouble. 2 Chronicles 7:14 recorded, “…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Are you considering way to be humble in this challenging trouble and not become a vessel of faith failure?
Philippians 2:3-8 identified numbers of way to be humble, “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.  Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,  who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,  but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” Humility is also a source of obedient.
Like Jesus, Paul, Moses was identified in Numbers 12:3, “Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.”
Be humble, keep eye on God and not become a victim of faith failure in this challenging trouble of today.

Prayer for today: As God for the spirit of humility and not to become a victim of faith failure.
