BE SPECIFIC

FAITH CAPSULE: Be specific as commanded by God.

Numbers 20:1-13

The word of God is not a suggestion but a command that must be obeyed. The word of God is not a decoration for man to despise. The word of God is for man to engage diligently. In the word of God there is healing, deliverance, preservation, direction for man to obey diligently.
The word of God is truth. Truthfully the word of God cannot be broken. What He commands us to do must not be broken regardless of title in the church or outside of the church. To despise the word of God is the result of destruction. The book of Proverbs 13:13 warned, “He who despises the word will be destroyed, But he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.” At all time there is no excuse to disobey as commanded by the word of God. A failure to disobey the word of God is a choice that comes with consequence. Any attempt to obey God in our own way is a clear avenue to self-destruction.
God gave word of direction to His ordained overseer of the Israelites at the deliverance from the bondage of over four hundred. It is written, “Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.”(Numbers 20:7) The word of God to Moses was not a suggestion, but a command.
Moses made the choice of breaking the word of God. Breaking the word of God is the choice to disobey God and not hallow God. In life of journey, failing to hallow God is an avenue not to get to God’s divine assignment.
Moses, a giant in the hand of God, reduced his fulfillment by not being able to enter into the Promised Land which God promised the children of Israel.
Be specific as commanded by God. God commanded Moses to provide water for the children of Israel by speaking to the rock but Moses made his own choice to obey the word of God. Moses did right in a wrong way. Water came forth but he fell short of complying with God’s word of direction. The Bible stated, “Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank. Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, ‘because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the Land which I have given them.’’(Numbers 20:11-12) Moses was not specific to God’s command when he struck the rock instead of speaking to the rock.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace of obedient to His word always.

GLORIOUS DESTINY

FAITH CAPSULE: Glorious destiny is an enviable journey of life.

Psalm 8, Jeremiah 32:26-44

No man called Jesus. Jesus called His disciple, “And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.” (Matthew 10:1) God called us for glorious not for shame and the book of Romans 8:28-29 testified, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Every child of God is predestinated to live a glorious life.
God knows what He is doing and what He wants for us when he stated, “They shall be My people, and I will be their God; 39 then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.” (Jeremiah 32:28-40)
God called us out of His goodness and loving-kindness. He is mindful of us; He crowned us with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:4-5) Unfortunately, by virtue of lack of knowledge, man does not know the blessings in calling. Psalm 49:20 buttressed, “A man who is in honor, yet does not understand, is like the beasts that perish.” God called us for glorious destiny. Every child of God has to engage delivery of glorious destiny. The journey of glorious destiny is a departure from iniquity and it secures glorious destiny.
Glorious destiny has its foundation in righteousness. In righteousness there is blessing of the Lord and Lord’s favors surrounds the righteous as a shield. (Psalm 5:12)
Do you know what it takes to engage delivery of glorious destiny?
Walking in righteousness is all that it takes to engage the delivery of glorious destiny.
Among what it takes to walk in His righteousness is by keeping a godly association.
In life, everyone that moves you away from God is an enemy. What is attempting to remove you from God? Who is that agent of evil? Take note, every communication corrupts good manner. Also, commit to word of life; commit to the life of prayer, watching and fasting. Believe that it is possible to walk in righteous. When one does not believe, man does not become what one does not believe. 2 Corinthians 5:21 stated, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” Believe that our righteousness in Jesus is our glorious destiny.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace of understanding and not miss your portion.

HEAR TO OBSERVE AND OBEY

FAITH CAPSULE: In all that you hear, observe and obey the word of God.

Proverbs 4

In other to be able to obey the word of God, man must be one that is observing the word.
Deuteronomy 12:28 recorded, “Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.” Hear to observe and obey the word of God.
God also pointed it out to Joshua, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8) Meditating the word of God day and night is the key to be observing and obeying the word of God.
It is written, “For the word of the LORD is right, and all His work is done in truth.” (Psalm 33:4) The word of God is true and right. We are to hear and hold on to the truth. Without any doubt, no weapon formed against one that observe and obey the truth in the word of God diligently.
What man is hearing to observe and obey in the word of God is what will carry man through in daily walk or the journey of life. The word of God is direction, deliverance, protection and preservation. There is a need to hear the word of God on a daily and regular basis.
The Psalmist testified in Psalm 143:8,”Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning. For in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk for I lift up my soul to You.” The Psalmist demonstrated that hearing, observing and obeying Him in the morning is what makes the difference for the day. When man begins to make provision to hear from the word of God first in the morning, trusting God will be activated in man’s daily endeavors. Also, what man hears in the morning will always become man’s compass to navigate through daily challenges. Word heard first in the morning will accompanying man in journey. The word of God will show the way through the day and it will also be one’s weapon of deliverance from the enemy. There is no one who has walked in His way and fallen. Moreover, those who walk in His way will arrive at their expected end. Also, those that hears, observe and obey are set in His divine schedule and rest.
As a child of God, what are you hearing early in the day?

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace of attending to the word God and opening ears to the word of God.

ALLOW WORD TO WORK

FAITH CAPSULE: Let the word work for you.

Matthew 8

Receive and believe word of God to work for you. Word is enough to terminate struggle in any area of life. Naaman, a commander of the army of the king of Syria, a mighty man of valor had leprosy challenge. However, when the word of God sounded in his direction he could not receive and believe the word that terminates challenges. Elisha told Naaman to go and wash in the Jordan seven times so as to be cleansed from his leprosy but he refused and could not accept the word of healing. The Bible said, But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’” (2 Kings 5:11) Naaman struggled with word but later went back to receive and got cleansed.
Are you denying yourself a timely deliverance by not receiving or believing the word of God? The book of Psalm 107:20 stated the word of God, “He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions”  The bible also recorded, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (John 1:1-3) The word is still terminating challenge in the life of one that receives and believes in the word? Jesus was and He is still the living word of God that answers for ones that receive and believe His word.
It was the word of Jesus that healed a centurion’s servant. When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him asking for healing on behalf of his servant that was lying at home sick and paralyzed. Jesus responded with promise to go to centurion’s house. The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” (Matthew 8:8) The centurion received and believed when he asked for the word. The word of God is to terminate challenge for any one that is definitely able to accept and trust in the word of healing and deliverance. Jesus saw the faith of the centurion with action without any doubt before Jesus. It is written in Matthew 8:13, “Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.”” Are you delaying your healing deliverance? Jesus as spoken let the word work for you.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace to receive and believe the word.

WAY OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: The way of God is the way of going up from where you are now.

Exodus 13

When God is taking man to the promise location He will put everything in place for man to get to the expected end. Has He brought you out of the house of bondage in an attempt to take you to the expected end?
In God’s journey expected end for man, challenges are not exempted. Man should endure the challenges of the giants along the way of journey to the expected end. Hebrews 10:36 buttressed endurance which is crucial to attain promise of journey, “For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.” The will of God is to take man to the expected location. The will of God is in the way of God. An adage stated, “Where there is a will there is a way” The adage is true to everyone that the Lord calls to a journey of promise. For example, when God called Abraham to come out of his country, from his family and from his father’s house there was God’s will in place for Abraham. The will of God for Abraham was to make Abraham a great nation, great name and a blessing. (Genesis 12: 1-2) As a result of God’s will that was in place for Abraham, there was a way for Abraham to get to the promises of God. Truly, where there is a will for a child of God there will always be a way to get through to God’s will for the obedient ones. Abraham’s obedient caused him to arrive at God’s will for his life. God always place every of His children on the right track but the enemy is always at work to overthrow man. Abraham endured challenges. He experienced delay; he engaged war to deliver Lot; Abraham attempted the life of old age son (Isaac) for sacrifice. When God is taking man to a location of promise it is not a liberty to take step out of God’s way.
Are you stepping out of God’s way into you way?
Man should not take any way because any way will not lead one to God’s expected end. Abraham could not take out of God’s way. Moses, the leader of Israelites could not make the choice of wrong way. The bible recorded, “Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 13:17-18) Let God take you through His way.

Prayer for today: Ask God to open your ears and eyes into His way.
