FAITH CAPSULE: God visits one who is doing good.

2 Kings 4:8-17

One doing good is investing to experience the visitation of God. 
Always know to do good when the situation demands doing good.
James 4:17 encourages the reason to know doing good, “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” 
One who knows to do good but not to do good gives self to sin.
Doing good is among the fruits of the spirit. 
Galatians 5:22 states, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.”
Romans 12:9, “…Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.”
1 Thessalonians 5:15, “See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.”
2 Thessalonians 3:13, “But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.”
Hebrews 13:16, “But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”
God visits one doing good.
Give yourself to investing good at all times to reap from the visitation of God.
From henceforth, begin to do good for the glory of God.
Doing good from the depth of the heart will provoke caring with a glaring action.
It is worth doing good by acting with care knowing fully well that what you are doing is for the glory of God.
A Shunammite woman, ignorantly invested in doing good to the man of God in her location, 2 Kings 4:9-10 records the doing of the Shunammite woman, “And she said to her husband, ‘Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God who passes by us regularly. Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.’” 
The Shunammite woman made life comfortable for the man of God.
The man of God did not look away but acknowledged the Shunamite woman by sending his servant, “…Say now to her, ‘“Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?”’ (2 Kings 4:13) 
Elisha later realized that the Shunamite woman had no child.
Elisha prayed over her life. 2 Kings 3:16 records, “About this time next year, you shall embrace a son.”
The Shunammite woman invested in doing good before God.
In her doing, she reaps to receive the blessing of the womb to become a mother.
Truly one who knows to do good will reap the blessing of God.
Know to be doing good, experience the move of God over your life.

Prayer for today: Ask that God will enable you to do good all the days of your life.

FAITH CAPSULE: The choice to control your mouth is your deliverance.

2 Kings 7:1-20

Understanding is the ability to listen carefully and be in charge of what comes out of the mouth. 
Truly understanding is a wellspring of life to one who has it. (Proverbs 16:22) 
Do you have an understanding of navigating in all ways?
All should take charge and not live as a potential fool. 
The Bible warns, “A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.” (Proverbs 18:7)
The word of God warns the mouth can indeed lead to destruction, but understanding can intervene for the mouth, not lead to destruction.
The Bible also warns in Proverbs 13:3, “He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.” 
Take note and know that understanding will cause the mouth to preserve life. 
With understanding, are you taking charge of your mouth, not to cause negative challenges, confessing negative in the place of positive?
For example, during the time of the prophet of God, Elisha, a severe famine reduced the land to a place of lack. 
While the shortage of needs was rampant across the land, “Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the LORD: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’”(2Kings 7:1) 
In response to the word of Elisha, with doubt, one of the officers of Elisha responded negatively and questioned Elisha how a breakthrough could be possible in the face of severe famine. 
The officer failed to control his mouth by stating negative but took the place of a fool.
The officer foolishly responded to the prophecy of Elisha when he spoke out of his mouth with a lack of understanding, “…Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be (2 Kings 7:2)?” 
Imagine the demonstration of a lack of understanding that caused doubt from the officer.
Do you doubt what God can do? 
Can you imagine yourself waking up in the position of plenty instead of waking up in the place of famine? 
With understanding, if you know that God is still on the throne, then believe that miracles are not beyond God.
Elisha said the officer saw with his eyes but could not touch. 
2 Kings 7:20 records the end of the officer, “And so it happened to him, for the people trample him in the gate, and he died.” 
God opened the window of plenty; the lack no longer exists.
The officer could not control his mouth, confessed negatively, and destruction became his portion.
Jesus taught the possibility of God when He stated, “…With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) 
With understanding, be in charge of your mouth with a confession.
With your positive confession over negative, the possibility in the place of impossibility is not beyond God to answer for you.

Prayer for today: Ask God to deliver you from lack of understanding.

FAITH CAPSULE: God is the only God that is worth it.

1 Samuel 17

Know your God, boast in Him all day long and He will boost you over your Goliath.
Boasting of God should be the evidence of knowing God.
One can only boast of one that is known. 
Boasting one you do not know is empty making noise. 
In your life, what or who is it that you know, worth to be boasting? 
The Psalmist testifies, “In God, we boast all day long…” (Psalm 44:8) 
In this life, there is not enough exaggeration to be boasting God.
Boasting God is giving regard to God. 
God is the One and only almighty God, the great I AM, He is worthy of all-day boasting.
Boasting of God is giving attention to God. 
Boasting God will also gain attention from God. 
Boasting of God is announcing that with God, all things are possible.
Boasting of God is the character of one with the boldness to look in the face of even opposition to Goliath. 
Boasting God should be a way of life.
Know to boast also when there is a confronting challenge. 
Boasting of God should be a constant engagement to gain the attention of God.
Boasting God from the heart, not from the mouth will experience boosts from the presence of God. 
Boasting God all day long will boost up one where others are grounded. Indeed, know to boast God all day long.
The armies of the children of Israel and their God experienced verbal abuse by Goliath, the leader of the Philistines.
The intimidation of Goliath made the Israelites emotionally and physically grounded before Goliath and the Philistines.
Are you experiencing abuse in the face of your enemy?
Fear to over the Israelites as Goliath stood to boast of his strength stating, “…Why have you come out to line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and you the servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me. If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants. But if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall be our servants and serve us.” And the Philistine said, “I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.” (1 Samuel 17:8-10)
When David got to the battleground, he responded to Goliath by boasting his own God saying, “…You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you…” (1 Samuel 17:45-46) 
Know your God, boast in Him always, and He will boost you over your Goliath.

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable you to know Him.

FAITH CAPSULE: Word is love as commanded by God is of faith.

1 John 3

The word love is rooted in faith.
When Jesus comes back, will He find faith (Love)? (Luke 18:8)
Do you love as requested by God?
Jesus questioned, “
Do you love others?
1 John 3:11 states, “For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.”
Many claim to believe that loving one another is not in heart.
Are you in the Lord? One that claims the word of God by not living the Lord is not evidence of living by the word of God. 1 John 2:5 states, “But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this, we know that we are in Him.”  Loving should be the key to the life of a believer.
Jesus gave the parable, “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance, a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise, a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.” (Luke 10: 30-33)
A man in the parable was attacked and wounded by thieves.
A priest and Levite saw the wounded but passed on the other side. Do you love the kind of priest and Levite that passed on and did not help?
An unbeliever demonstrated love as stated in Luke 10:33, “But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion.
Acclaimed believers in the name of love walked away, but the sinner, a certain Samaritan, answered and demonstrated the love.
The sinner had compassion like Jesus.
Are you being deceived by church title or by a man-designed position in the church? One can be a priest or Levite and not answer to the task of a priest or Levite.
The certain Samaritan gave care when he supplied materials and paid the bill in full.
Can you answer the question of Jesus?
The question of Jesus in Luke 10:36 states, “So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”
Serving to please God is not only in religious activity.
Serving to please God demands to love others.
John 13:34-35 buttressed, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this, all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Living by His command is the evidence of a true follower of Jesus.
All must love as commanded by God.

Prayer for today: Ask to live engaging the command of God.

FAITH CAPSULE: Doubting in place of faith does not grow. 

Deuteronomy 28:1-14

Faith comes by hearing the word of God. (Romans 19:17)
However, a failure not to give to the word of God is denying having faith to grow and giving to doubting.
Doubt is an avenue of setting self for destruction.
Labor the word of God to deny doubt in your thoughts or actions.
Doubting is the avenue to self-destruction.
Do not doubt, do not limit, or despise the power of the word of God. 
Proverbs 13:13 warns, “He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.”  
With patience, living by the word of God will terminate struggle or challenge in any area of life. 
Psalm 34:19 buttresses, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” 
The word of God is the power to do and undo as directed to life challenges.
Why doubt what the word said? 
Hebrews 4:12 describes the word, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” 
Give yourself to the word of God to deny doubt in your thoughts or actions.
Word is indeed living, powerful, and sharper to terminate challenges to the glory of God.
Will you give yourself to the word of God?
To engage the word without a doubt will position one to convert mockery to a miracle.
The Bible records the word of God, “Is not My word like a fire?” says the LORD, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29)
God is true to His word for all that will take to Him. 
Why do you allow doubt?
Do not doubt to limit or despise the power of the word of God.  
Turn to the word of God to answer you if you will work the word of God.
Working the word of God is labor. 
Laboring the word of God is evidence of obedience to the word of God.
Laboring the word of God is the choice to do the word of God instead of doing what the world says. 
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 states, “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.
The word of God confirms the reason for engaging the word laboriously and not doubting the word of God. 
Laboring the word of God will deliver the blessing of God.
Do not doubt the word of God, but yourself do the word of God.
