Bigger Calling

BIGGER CALLING
Isaiah 6

"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” (Isaiah 6:1) It can be concluded that before the death of King Uzziah, Isaiah was not seeing the throne. After the death of King Uzziah, Isaiah began to see where he could not see. Also, he was able to hear from where he could not have heard before the death of King Uzziah. In life, something does have a need to move or be removed for us to receive what has been in place for us. Until the death of King Uzziah, hindrance was what king Uzziah represented to Isaiah. Hindrance will interfere in your journey by delaying or denying you from where God wants to take you. Hindrance can be a weapon of the devil. The devil has no limitation in his attempt to deny the purpose of God but, there is a limitation as to whom his victim could be. Isaiah was on time but not in tune with God until the death of King Uzziah. King Uzziah die and Isaiah saw and he was able to relate all that he saw in the presence of God. After Isaiah had been able to see, he recognized himself as one that needed a cleansing touch. He said, “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the king, The LORD of hosts” (Isaiah 6:5). Isaiah cried out in repentance and for the LORD’s cleansing in his life. Isaiah’s cry sent for a needed refinement. Isaiah 6:6, “Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it and said: Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged.” The journey of destiny is beginning to take place in the life of Isaiah. Isaiah began to see;   he was able to repent and he received cleansing. The big picture began to settle in place for Isaiah. Isaiah 6:8, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.”’ There is no bigger calling in life than as receiving God’s call of assignment. King Uzziah, Isaiah saw and heard from God.

Prayer for today:Ask God to sentence every representative of King Uzziah in your life to a permanent death.

Faith In Action

FAITH IN ACTION
John 5:1-15

To rise is the evidence of faith in action. The driving force that makes rising become faith in action is not there if the rising is not immediate. This is saying that without rising immediately it does not become faith in action. Doubt, procrastination or delay, were not the pattern in the life of those that heard and responded to the command of God by rising immediately. Abraham at his very old age, with only Isaac as the promised child, God commanded him, “…Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (Genesis 22:2) It was a difficult command that would have demanded reminding God that Isaac was the promise child. Abraham the faith practitioner asked no question neither did he doubt, but responded, “So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.” (Genesis 22:3) Abraham could not wait for morning hour by responding early in the morning. It was a faith in action for Abraham. In the healing of the man at the Pool of Bethesda, faith in action prevailed. The sick man had been at the right track of his healing but remained trapped because he was waiting for someone to put him in the pool when the water was stirred up. As recorded in the Bible for thirty eight years there was no mobility because of infirmity. As a result stagnation reigned in the life of the sick man. Are you experiencing stagnation in any area of your life? No man is going to put you through but Jesus. He is here to give life and to give it more abundantly and you are here to receive the life He brought if you will rise. The sick man at the Pool of Bethesda had an encounter with Jesus. John 5:8-9, “Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.” The sick man at the Pool of Bethesda heard the command, without procrastination or doubt and rose. The Bible made it clear that he rose immediately. An immediate response was the driving force that made his rising to be a faith in action. What sound of deliverance has been sounding in the direction of your stagnation? Has doubt or procrastination been playing a role in your life? If you will not delay your deliverance unto breakthrough you will have to rise in faith immediately.

Prayer for today: Ask God to deliver you from whatever is clouding your faith from rising immediately according to His word.

Believe And Behave

BELIEVE AND BEHAVE
John 4:46-54

It is not enough to believe the word of God and not behave His word. Jesus, the One and only Word of God was described, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’” 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.”” (John 1:14-16) The word of God is God and in the Word inhabits all the power to make and unmake. The same Word that was in the beginning is still the same Word that is today. Jesus gave the word of direction for protection from embarrassment at a wedding in Cana of Galilee where there was an unexpected lack of provision for the marriage celebration. Having departed from the wedding scene, the Bible mentioned that He went back again to Cana of Galilee. John 4:46-54, “So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. 47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.” Jesus’ second coming was different from the wedding celebration. Jesus had to deal with the situation where a child of a nobleman was sick and at the point of death. Jesus alone is capable of confronting every situation for those that will wait to see manifestation of the Word. At His second coming to Cana of Galilee, Jesus gave His word to the nobleman on behalf of the nobleman’s sick child, “Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.” (John 4:50)  The nobleman did not doubt nor question the validity of the word when he turned back and went his way as the Lord commanded. The noble man’s turning back and going his way was an evidence of behaving the word that was released for his child. Have you experienced the word sounding in your direction and needed to see a sign before behaving the word? Jesus’ mother warned the servants at the wedding of Cana of Galilee, “…Whatever He says to you, do it.” (John 2:5)The word will undoubtedly work for you when you walk just as you are commanded. If you will stay away from waiting to see the word at work before you behave (believe) the word, your miracles will become undeniable.

Prayer for today: Lord I ask this day help every area of my unbelief that I may enter into my undeniable miracles.

Invitation Plus Attention

INVITATION PLUS ATTENTION
John 2:1-11

A miracle of the third is not what any believer wants to miss at any given time. The miracle of the third has to do with redemption, resurrection and provision of abundance. Moses was redeemed from the ark by his arch enemy on the third month. On the third month of hiding Moses from the death sentence of king Pharaoh, Moses ended up in the compassionate care of the murderer’s palace when his mother, “…Hid him for three months.” (Exodus 2:2I) It was on the third day that Jesus our Lord and Savior chose to stun the devil when He resurrected. The miracle of the third cannot be undermined, God does nothing by accident. In the area for provision for abundance it is clear what Jesus did on the third day at the Cana of Galilee wedding occasion. “On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”” (John 2:1-3) It cannot be imagined how Jesus could be invited to any occasion (wedding) and such an occasion would suffer from an embarrassing situation of lack. If you have invited Him into your life and ignore His presence in your life, you are on your own. Also, if you have invited Him into your life and choose to suffer lack in any area of your life, it could be the evidence of ignorance. Are you ignorant of not knowing whom you have invited or the evidence of limiting the One that you have invited? The Wedding at Cana of Galilee could have been a flop or a failure had it been there was no one on standby to identify what Jesus could do to save the wedding from failure. Mother of Jesus interceded for help from Jesus, by calling Jesus’ attention to the embarrassing need and she backed up her interception by pointing out to the servants, “…Whatever He says to you, do it.” (John 2:5) There are so many celebrations in life such as Marriage, childbearing and new position in life that are suffering from different types of lack because they lack invitation extensions to Jesus. What is missing in your own celebration of life? Have you invited Jesus? Do you still suffer lack with Jesus being invited? Could it be you have lost focus of Jesus being there for you or your act of ignorance is having its place in your life? Just like the mother of Jesus’ approach to Jesus for help you go ahead and ask Him for help with persistency and do whatever He asks for in His word. Your invitation to Jesus and your attention will attend to every area of lack.

Prayer for today: Deliver me O Lord from every demonstration in all occasions of my life that lack understanding.

Stubborn Heart

STUBBORN HEART
Ezra 1

A claim to have heard God speak His command is not enough, neither is it complete until the command is done. When it was time for God to deliver the children of Israel from the bondage of over four hundred years, Pharaoh repeatedly heard from God through Moses but failed to do exactly what the Lord was commanding him. Exodus 7:14-16, “So the LORD said to Moses: “Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to let the people go. 15 Go to Pharaoh in the morning, when he goes out to the water, and you shall stand by the river’s bank to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent you shall take in your hand. 16 And you shall say to him, ‘The LORD God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, “Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness”; but indeed, until now you would not hear!” Pharaoh had ears but could not hear because the heart that commands hearing was hard. The heart has the greatest effect in hearing and doing and when it is hard there will be no respond to God’s command. Cyrus the king of Persia could not have known God more than Pharaoh but he was able to hear and do what the Lord commanded. In the case of Cyrus, it is written concerning Cyrus, “Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying, 2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.” (Ezra 1:1-2) Evidently, Cyrus, the king of Persia was able to hear and do because the Lord stirred his heart. Pharaoh failed to hear because his heart was not stirred; he had a heart of stone. Many have heard from Him and not been able to do because of the state of their heart. Equally, many are hearing and doing because of the state of their heart. What is the state of your heart? Have you been getting commands from Him and not been able to do? To be stubborn is not of God and it does not have a place before God. 1 Samuel 15:23, “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king.” In stubbornness, there is no minor neither is there major stubbornness. Avoid taking the way of iniquity and idolatry. Release what or who needs to be released by you or be reduced by God.

Prayer for today: Father, stir my heart to be totally obedient to your command.
