Sight For Light

SIGHT FOR LIGHT< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Mark 8:22-26

ÒThen Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ÒI am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.Ó (John 8:12) Indeed and in truth Jesus is the light of the world that no darkness will ever be able to comprehend. Jesus is also identified as the word of God that came to us. John 1:14, ÒAnd the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.Ó A blind man in Bethsaida encountered Jesus, the Light and the Word of God. Jesus came to where the blind man was to be found, but the blind man needed sight to see the Light that came to his presence. The blind man had light, but there was no sight for him to see the light, the Living Word of God. How long have you been carrying the word of God or how long will you carry the word without sight to actually see through the word? In attempt to give the blind man another sight, Jesus took him out of the town away from every kind of distraction, Jesus spit on his eyes yet he could not see. How often have you been out of distraction unto separation and yet nothing happened? The blind man was blindly blinded. How blind you are is what will determine what it takes for you to gain the sight that will enable you to see the light. Jesus spit on the blind man of BethsaidaÕs eye yet there was no clarity of sight. Eyes without clear sight is like half knowledge in the word of God. Half knowledge could be more dangerous than having no knowledge. The blind man of Bethsaida who was supposed to be seeing clearly, but was seeing men walking like trees. Jesus knew that the blind man of Bethsaida needed to see clearly, so He could not release him on his own as a result there was an extension of JesusÕ hand for the blind man of Bethsaida, ÒThen He put His hands on his eyes again and made Him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.Ó (Mark 8:25)  The blind man of Bethsaida eventually gained the sight that enabled him to see the light.  There should be no pretending of having sight where there is no sight to see the light. Attending to prayer for an extension of GodÕs hand in our life in every area of physical or spiritual blindness is what is best. Jesus moved the blind man of Bethsaida out of town to his healing ground before he could gain sight for light. Ask God to move you to your healing ground of deliverance and gaining sight that can see the light.

It Is Well

IT IS WELL< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

2 Kings 4:8-37

A Shunammite woman was barren and her husband was of old age. The woman was in a location and she positioned herself to be a blessing to the Man of God Elisha. When Elisha decided to return to her with favor, Gehazi, the servant of Elisha, suggested that she was barren and her husband was old. Elisha prayed for the woman and she conceived and had a son. The child grew and one day he had a headache while he was with his father and the father sent him to his mother, 2 Kings 4:20, ÒWhen he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.Ó The child died and it was not recorded of the mother crying or groaning, but she decided to seek the source at which God blessed her with the child. The Shunammite woman decided to go and look for Elisha and her husband said, ÒWhy are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.Ó And she said, ÒIt is well.Ó (2 Kings 4:23). Knowing fully well that the child is dead, she did not give a negative response. When she approached Elisha, Elisha sent his servant by saying, ÒPlease run now to meet her, and say to her, ÔIs it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?ÕÓ And she answered, ÒIt is well.Ó(2Kings 4:26) The Shunammite woman repeatedly confessed positive, she had the right word at the rough time; she refused to allow her situation to take over her. Jesus responded to same kind of situation, the same way the Shunammite woman did. JairusÕs daughter was sick to death and Jesus was approached for healing and responded in Luke 8:50, ÒBut when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, ÒDo not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.Ó JesusÕ response was a teaching of staying positive when all is down. Jesus then spoke to the child and the child rose from dead just like the Shunammite womanÕs son regained life at the visitation of Elisha. As you go from today, permit no fear but persist on faith, take a stand in the word of God. Speak out as you want it to be not only as the situation presents it self. With the character of Christ in you (if you have it), speak out with boldness knowing that God is your God and your source. Take note, the woman never said it shall be well neither did Jesus say it. What the woman and Jesus said was ÒIt is wellÓ. It is well, is different from it shall be well. Both statements have different meanings. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverb 18:21). Make your choice, confess positive things, and live by them. It is well in Jesus name.

No To Outsiders

NO TO OUTSIDERS< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 8: 49-56

All things that do not represent you, that are not the things of God, that are outside of your beliefs are outsiders to you and they should all be considered and treated as an outsiders. Do not allow outsiders inside, neither should you inhabit any outsider. Let the outsiders be on the outside, and by denying outsiders, doubt will die, mockery will be denied, and above all ridicule will not locate you. Jesus, with all the power in Him, in His attempt to bring forth JariusÕs daughter back from death to life, made some moves before He did. The first thing that Jesus did was to encourage the family not to be afraid, but believe with a positive statement saying, Òit is well.Ó Secondly, He told them that their daughter had only went to sleep and not unto death so that they should stop weeping. The first and second moves were to address the family from the inside because when the inside was settled, then the outside could be dealt with by putting out the outside. Jesus did not address the outside until He had taken care of the inside. While Jesus was taking care of the inside, the outside was in operation. Luke 8: 53, ÒAnd they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.Ó  The outsiders that were present ridiculed Jesus thinking it would be impossible for Him to raise JariusÕs daughter back to life. Ridicule is from the outside; it is an agent of discouragement. As an agent of discouragement, ridicule will bring forth discouragement to stop exercising faith, which would cause the loss of faith. Jesus did not hesitate He needed to settle the outside since the inside had been addressed, the bible recorded in Luke 8:54, ÒÉHe put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, ÒLittle girl, arise, Ò 55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat.ÓÓ Jesus did not allow the surrounding people or the outsiders deny the miracle for JairusÕs daughter. Just as Jesus put all agents of mockery and ridicule out in the case of JariusÕs daughter, so He will do on your behalf. All that belongs unto you will return to you and your testimony will glorify God.

In His Hand

IN HIS HAND< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 4:38-39, 5:12-15

The touch of His hand is healing and His hand inhabits deliverance. He is the Lord of lords, the healing healer and He is gracious and merciful. Jesus deserves to be served because He is worthy of all service that can be rendered to Him. Luke 4:38-39, ÒNow He arose from the synagogue and entered SimonÕs house. But SimonÕs wifeÕs mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. 39 So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.Ó SimonÕs wifeÕs mother received healing touch of Jesus and she was up to serve the Lord. The power to move from sickness to serving the Master is in the hand of the Master. As it was requested on the behalf of SimonÕs wifeÕs mother, will you request for His hand to bring you out of you all that have been keeping you from serving Him? Also, in His hands there is power to cleanse. JesusÕ hand will clean every stain of mockery if you will call for the extension of His healing hand. A man that was full of leprosy fell on his face to ask for his cleansing and he received his cleansing. Leprosy without any doubt is an agent of shame, embarrassment and mockery. Is there any way or anyhow you have been experiencing shame, mockery or any kind of disease or situation that is causing you from not being able to present yourself where you have a need? Again, your cleansing and deliverance is in the hand of the Healing Master Jesus. Luke 5:12-13, ÒAnd it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, ÒLord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.Ó 13 Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, ÒI am willing; be cleansed.Ó Immediately the leprosy left him.ÓÓ Are you willing to receive your cleansing? You must be ready to fall on your face and implore Him for His intervention. The man that was full of leprosy did the same and he was cleansed from his head to his toe without any issue of leprosy all because of the healing hand of Jesus. Jesus has it all in His hand. All that it takes for you to be delivered and free is in His hand, but until you ask, it will not be activated. The power to heal, cleanse, and deliver are in His hand.

Just A Catch

JUST A CATCH< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 5:1-11

When it was over, when there was no way out, when there was nothing to account for. When it was certain that time had gone and when it was time to clean up instrument and let go because of no result; because of emptiness, Jesus showed up. He will show up in our own situations of no hope. He showed up despite the multitudes that were pressing Him at the Lake of Gennesaret. The multitude is an agent of delay. The multitude will slow down a miracle if you flow with them too long, and the multitude is a crowd that will not allow you to see Jesus when He is passing by. Despite the multitudeÕs pressing, Jesus was able to find a place in SimonÕs vessel to sit. The multitude at the Lake of Gennesaret were not able to stop Him from showing up concerning the emptiness situation that Peter and his fellow [professional] fishermen were facing after toiling all night in vain. Have you been toiling all year or have you been toiling for so many years? Wait and watch out for Him He will soon show up concerning all of your concerns. It is written, ÒWhen He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, ÒLaunch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.Ó 5 But Simon answered and said to Him, ÒMaster, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.ÓÓ (Luke 5: 4-5) At the time the fishermen were supposed to be launching away from the deep, Jesus asked them to launch into the deep. It was the wrong time for launching into deep because the time of launching deep was past and it produced no result, but with the Jesus there, there is no wrong timing or accidental. With Jesus all time is set to meet the plan and purpose of God. Has He been asking you to move when it is time to stay or has He been telling you to stay when it is time to move? If you will listen by the grace of God, your story will change for good. Despite SimonÕs fishing skill he had no reason not to obey Jesus. Peter and his fellow professional fishermen responded to the word that called for a catch. Just a catch, Jesus did not speak into many catches, but just a word for a catch. Just a word to catch filled up all the emptiness. Just a word caused a breakthrough that was enough for others to partake. Just a word from Him is enough to terminate every struggle. It was a word of astonishment. Ask the Lord God to allow His word sound in your direction for a breakthrough and for making you to fall down at His knees and become His follower all the days of your life.
