Ground In Place

GROUND IN PLACE< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Genesis 40, 41

ÒJoseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh King of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.Ó (Genesis 41:46) God has a ground for you to stand and without getting there you will not stand. Elijah was never mentioned nor referred to in any page of the scripture until he took his stand. 1 Kings 17:1, Ò And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, as the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.Ó Elijah took his stand, he made a declaration that was backed in heaven and manifested on earth. Joseph started his journey at age seventeen and not until he was thirty years of age, he could not take a stand on the ground where God had put in place for him. At the time that Joseph stepped on his ground and took a stand, his story was changed forever. It was a transformation of the journey that started in a pit of lack, a pit of destruction, a pit of termination and a pit of no hope to the Peak of Power in a foreign ground. Your case has not be written over yet and when it appears to be over and no way out, God in His goodness and mercy will make a way for you out of no way if you will consistently remember that you cannot commit great and wicked sin against the Lord. To Joseph, it was a dream journey and it went on and on as if there will not be an end to affliction. However, Joseph got to the ground where he took a stand before the king of the land, Pharaoh of Egypt. As a believer, there will be times of ups and downs but never let the down agent keep you stranded. The story of JosephÕs journey is not fiction, it is a reality and it can be lifting when youÕre down by the punches of this world. Before JosephÕs first appearance to Pharaoh he was an overseer in the prison. His authority was to oversee his fellow prisoners. When Joseph took his stand, and after taking his stand, he became the deputy general overseer of the whole land of Egypt. Until you stand on the ground where the Lord has put in place for you, the journey continues in face of challenges. Ask God to bring you up to stand in the ground he has put in place for your breakthrough.

Ask Him

ASK HIM< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>1 Samuel 16:1-13

Through the pages of the Bible, God has proved Himself as a God that answers whenever His children call on Him to ask. As a believer and bible student, you have disproved God many times as God that does not answer by not calling whenever there is a need for. At every time, in every situation that God is approached for an intervention, it is a demonstration of knowing God, a demonstration of trusting God, it is a demonstration of submission and a demonstration of fearing God. Jesus declared in Matthew 7:7, ÒAsk, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.Ó What Jesus was saying is for them and it is also for us that are here now. Many times, instead of asking, we resolve into fear, complaining, questioning, or giving God excuses that do not count or excuses that does not have any base. Samuel once, was sent by God to go and anoint David as the new king while king Saul was still active and reigning. ÒNow the LORD said to Samuel, ÒHow long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.Ó 2 And Samuel said, ÒHow can I go? If Saul hears it he will kill me.Ó(1 Samuel 16:1-2) But the LORD said, ÒTake a heifer with you, and say, ÔI have come to sacrifice to the LORD.ÕÓ Samuel could have shown concern for his life by giving excuses and reasons to God for him not to go, he could have entered into complaining. There was no documentation that Samuel was afraid or shaken by GodÕs command. Samuel responded to God by asking for direction of how to go for GodÕs command. Samuel asked God saying, ÒHow can I goÓ Samuel knew his God that he was serving as the Master in charge of all and he was not going to question or deny God. As a result he asked and God answered. How do you get what you want from God? Do you get it through complain or fear? Questioning will not move GodÕs hand but it is capable of removing you from under His hand. God is a faithful God; He will not fail you when you ask. Go ahead and ask Him and you will make a headway.

Increased Mercy

INCREASED MERCY< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Genesis 19:1-19

When Sodom and Gomorrah was set for destruction God had settled the deliverance of Lot. God wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for all the works of wickedness that have prevailed in the land. Out of the whole land, God decided to bring Lot and his household out of destruction. God sent two angels for LotÕs deliverance. During the visitation of salvation by the angels, the angels were exposed to the wickedness that has been reigning in the land when the wicked attempted to Òknow the angels carnallyÓ(Genesis 19:5). The angels announced to Lot the purpose of their visitation was to deliver him and his household. It was requested of Lot to move his household before the destruction. Lot went out and spoke to his sons- in-law who had married his daughters but they took him for a joke. While the angels were waiting for Lot to make his move, Lot was dragging his feet and delaying the timing of destruction. The Bible recorded in Genesis 19:16, ÒAnd while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wifeÕs hand and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful and they brought him out and set him outside the city. Many times we have dragged our feet where God wanted us to move our feet; many situations we have been in place where God wants to move concerning a situation in our life but we positioned ourselves not to be moved. The Bible declared that Lot lingered when destruction had been ordained for manifestation in his life. Are you lingering against GodÕs mercy? Despite his lingering God decided not to run out of mercy concerning the case of Lot. Lot testified in Genesis 19:19, ÒIndeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die.Ó Is there any area of your life where God wants to move you to a ground of favor but by virtue of ignorance you are not moving? God does not and will never run out of mercy, ask God today for the grace for you not to run out of GodÕs mercy. Lot lingered but God increased His mercy to have him saved from destruction.

Mouth And Ear

MOUTH AND EAR< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Exodus 4:1-17

ÒNow therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.Ó (Exodus 4:12) There is nothing like having God take over in all areas of our life. When Moses began to give excuse upon excuse to avoid GodÕs assignment for him to lead the children of Israel, he told God, ÒI am slow of speech and slow of tongue.Ó (Exodus 4:10) It was MosesÕ response that generated GodÕs promise to be with MosesÕ mouth and to teach Moses what to say. The point here is the fact that God can be with our mouth. If the Lord God can declare to be with MosesÕ mouth, He will also be with our mouth if we ask from Him. God is not a partial God. The Bible described tongue as, ÒA fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our member that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.Ó(James 3:6) With our mouth under absolute control of God, tongue will definitely be shut down from causing any damage. Would it not make a world of difference if tongue is put in check by having mouth under control? If the mouth is not opened the tongue will be quiet and the ability for tongue to generate problem will be silent. Not just in the area of mouth that we should be asking God to take over but also in the area of hearing. Isaiah 50:5, ÒThe Lord God has opened My ear; And I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away.Ó This is evidence that the ear that is opened by God will hear not to be rebellious unto God. So many have hears opened but when God does not open them, what is being heard does not have what it takes to keep the hearer from being rebellious. The failure of not hearing will eventually lead to turning away. Tongue and our ear needs to be under constant and a consistent check and such check can only be of GodÕs divine intervention. Moses could not escape GodÕs assignment when God promised him all that it will take for him to keep him going in GodÕs assignment. Can you identify yourself and see if it is your mouth or ear that is causing you to move slowly in your assignment? God will answer if you will call and ask for Him to be with your mouth and have your ear opened.

He Will Remember

HE WILL REMEMBER< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>1 Samuel 1

ÒThen God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.Ó (Genesis 8:1) It takes GodÕs remembrance of Noah for him to get back on a dry ground. When God remembers it is always with favor. In which area of life are you looking for GodÕs remembrance? The only thing God cannot do is to fail. Do not fail yourself by failing to ask Him for His remembrance, call on Him and He will answer. When He remembered Noah, the water of affliction and destruction subsided. Today with GodÕs remembrance of you, every representative of water of affliction will subside in your life and you will walk again on a dry ground. Wherever your world has been turned upside down due to lack of motion, God will grant you motion and every agent of stagnation will subside in your life. God that remembered Noah will remember you. Hannah, despite her bareness she did not have any record of rebellion or complain, rather she continued in her going to Shiloh. In the time of her need, she continues to go every year to worship and sacrifice to the LORD of hosts. When it was time for the birth of her miracle, ÒThen they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the LORD, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her. (1 Samuel 1:19) It does not matter how long you have been waiting for Him to remember you but it does matter that in your waiting, in your going back and forth to the ground of worship and sacrifice, do not shift your focus away from God. He is not a forgetful God neither will He be too busy to hear your cry. He is God that moves at His divine timing. Hannah kept focus and shut out complain, bitterness and anger against God. As a result, miracle located Hannah and her Samuel came to be. You have waited long enough, it is not time for you to quit or get quiet in your calling on Him. God will not fail He will remember you and bareness will cease in every area of your life in the name of Jesus. Ask God to remember you and He will remember you because He is God that remembers with favor.
