His Ways

HIS WAYS< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Isaiah 55

Human reason will fail; divine revelation will prevail. The word of God declared in Psalm 103:7 ÒHe made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel In the way of the Lord there is direction, victory, peace, power and there is no failure. When the way of the Lord is not revealed, the journey is bound to be a failure. Moses was seeing the ways of God and he could not fail in leading the children of Israel at every juncture where there was no way. He was close to God in all his steps while the children of Israel were far from the Lord in all of their steps. The children of Israel were walking in complaint and in rebellion and could only see where and when Moses has completed assignments. Returning unto God will turn on the ways of the Lord. Also, when the wicked way becomes abandoned the LordÕs way will do in the life of His children. It is written in Isaiah 55:6-7, ÒSeek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD and He will have mercy on Him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.Ó The word of God is a prescription that is to show the way. It is good to be seeing His acts or witnessing His acts, but it is not enough until you begin to see His way. It is time that you begin to position yourself in the word of God so that His way will become a revelation to you. God is not a partial God if He can show His way unto Moses, He will show it to you. Do not count on your reason but on His revelation.

His Love

HIS LOVE< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Romans 8:18-35

His love came without any condition, but His blessings are tied to conditions. That love of God that we have entered into cannot be separated from us except we separate ourselves from His love. Apostle Paul lived enough to know by virtue of experience when he confirmed in Romans < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>8:35, ÒWho shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Ó As a redeemed of God, all that can separate you from the love of Christ is always there but itÕs not competent enough to separate you. Will you hook yourself to His unconditional love that He has made available when He came to this face of earth by walking the Word rather than walking the world? Judas was one of the twelve disciples when he separated himself to money by walking the world. He was numbered among the disciples, but he missed the count after the resurrection of His Master. The Blood of Jesus has made it impossible for us not to be separated from Him, but our flesh as made it possible for us to be separated. As it is possible to walk the world and turn around to Jesus for salvation in the last minute before passing out of this earth, it is also possible to have walked the word and turn around unto walking the world in the last minute to gain eternal damnation. Does this make any meaning to you in your walk in this world? You can take the Apostle PaulÕs faith prescription in Philippians 4:6, ÒBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Ó Jesus is for us and His love cannot be separated from us if we refuse the world.

Word And Spirit

< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

WORD < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>AND SPIRIT

1Kings 18:7-16

The Word of God is God. The Spirit of God is also God. God is God and He alone is the true God. What do you want to call Him: the Word of God, GodÕs voice or the Spirit of the Lord? It is important to have relationship with Him, to know and to acknowledge Him as God. After Elijah had spoken for the rain and dew to cease, it was the Word of God that came to him. The Word came and directed him to get away from where he was. The Word directed Elijah to go and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan (1Kings 17:2-3). When it was time for Elijah to move to a new ground in times of challenges, it was also the Word of the Lord that came to get him. It is stated in 1 Kings 17:8, ÒThen the word of the LORD came to him, saying, 9 ÒArise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.Ó The Word of God was all that Elijah needed to receive in taking all the necessary steps that would carry him to where the Lord had a place for him. It was the Word that carried him to meet with Obadiah when he was being vigorously sought for by Ahab and Obadiah. Elijah requested Obadiah to go and let Ahab know of his whereabouts. Obadiah responded in 1 Kings 18:12, ÒAnd it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the LORD will carry you to a place I do not know; so when I do and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will kill me. But I your servant have feared the LORD from my youth.Ó  The point here is that Obadiah recognized the Word that was carrying Elijah as the Spirit of the LORD. How do you recognize Him? When the Word or the Spirit of God begins to carry you, no weapon formed against you shall prosper and when they look for you to terminate you, they will not be able to locate you. Ask God for His Word to sound in your direction for your deliverance.

Symphatetic Figure

SYMPATHETIC FIGURE< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

1Kings 18:1-6

In the face or in the middle of evil representative, despotic action, wicked rulers, and destructive laws, God does have His way and power of positioning a sympathetic figure with faith to help figure out, deliver and provide a way for His children to overcome. A man named Obadiah was such a figure. He was in charge of King AhabÕs house. At the time, Jezebel, the wife of King Ahab, was massacring the prophets of God. It was Obadiah who came to the rescue. One hundred prophets were delivered out of the massacring hand of Jezebel. ObadiahÕs fear of God moved in him and he was able to keep one hundred prophets in a cave with provision of water and bread. Ask God today to position someone in every ground where you are losing favor. Ask Him to position someone that will bring forth a way for you to serve Him without any restriction or hindrance. Also, ask God to position someone in the life of all that governs your land so that your deliverance will come forth. The Apostle Paul was very right when he requested in 1 Timothy2:1-2, ÒTherefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.Ó It does not matter how, where and when you pray a prayer that covers those that are in authority over you, but it does matter that you keep them in constant prayer with consistency that we may live a peaceable life instead of living in divisions and pieces. Obadiah was in place and position to play the role of deliverer for one hundred prophets not to die a sudden and untimely death. God in His goodness and mercy will have His way concerning all that concerns us.

Sacrificial Giving

SACRIFICIAL GIVING< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

1 Kings 17:8-16

The little that you have left should not be an excuse not to give. How often have you been in a position to give but you turned your hand back because you were counting the little you have left? Many times, we often forget that nothing we carry or that is carrying us comes from us. God is the only giver and taker. The Psalmist presented it right and best in Psalm 24:1, ÒThe earth is the LORDÕs, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.Ó In the case of the woman of Zarephath, there was only a handful of flower in a bin and a little oil in a jar left for her and son to eat and die (1 Kings < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>17:12). When Elijah approached her, he requested from her to make him a small cake. It was a bold request by the prophet. To the woman, it was a very challenging giving; a giving that was costly and a sacrificial giving that would cause a painful and consistent attention. It is like sowing a seed and paying attention to its care that will bring forth manifestation. A sacrificial giving will provoke GodÕs hand in providing abundantly. The woman of Zarephath responded to Elijah by giving out a small portion of her little that was left. As a result of her giving from the little, it is recorded in 1Kings 17:15-16, ÒSo she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah.Ó It is not just about giving; it is about a sacrificial giving. This was a giving that costs very much; a giving that was not regular because it came unexpectedly; a giving that comes out of a Òlittle leftÓ. It was a giving of not showing off, but showing forth faith. God oversees every action of man. Above all, God is the God of knowledge and by Him all actions are weighed (1 Samuel 2:3). Stop withdrawing your hand of giving in the face of Òlittle leftÓ. Ask God for the heart of giving through His grace. Little left will turn into left over and abundance will reign.
