Participation

PARTICIPATION< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

John 11:1-44

All that you need for your breakthrough miracle is your participation. God gave every breakthrough miracle when Jesus came to this world. As a result, every believing-believer is to take a position of receiving their breakthroughs. As for unbelieving believer, there is a need for prayer to God to help their unbelief. Lazarus was dead; that is cold dead for four days. At the arrival of Jesus, all hope had been lost and every discouragement was in place. Jesus approached the tomb and He requested for their participation in John < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>11:39 ÒJesus said, ÔTake away the stone.Õ Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, ÔLord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.ÕÓ In response to the requested participation by Jesus, a part was missing and that part was a line of unbelief. Jesus wants you to play a part in moving your hindrance and He also expects you to believe because God is not pleased when there is no belief. Jesus responded to incomplete participation by saying in John 11:40, ÒJesus said to her, ÔDid I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?ÕÓ With belief in place, you will see what is not there to be seen as being there for you. What is received in the Word of God is what will determine what you will become. At the wedding in Cana of Galilee, Jesus requested participation of the people (John 2:1-11). The people had to fill the empty gallon with water before there could be a miracle wine. In every miracle, the participation that is requested is the demonstration of faith. What role are you playing to bring forth your miracle? He has spoken that He will not leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5), but you continue to run where you are to wait. Do not run pass your miracle when it comes knocking or else it will enter into your neighbor that is around while you are running.

You Need A Help?

Psalm 121

If you are someone that can still turn your neck up and down, all that you need is to turn it up. In turning up your neck, your eyes will be lifted up to the Lord God Almighty. The Psalmist testifies in Psalm 121:1-2, ÒI will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the LORD who made heaven and earth.Ó What you will get in turning your neck and lifting up your eyes is an unfailing deliverance and preservation from the Lord God. If you have not stopped in turning your neck around, looking for help in what or who the Creator has created you to be will not be a difficulty. It is only through the direction from God that help will come. The creation does not have help to offer. It is only until the hand of God is extended through His creation that help will be delivered to you. Have you sincerely and not religiously asked for Him to help in your particular situation? Psalm 32:8, ÒI will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.Ó  Inside the instruction of God is His hand to move you to where you will get answer for your need. His instruction is the direction that will come forth to you when you turn your neck and lift up your eyes up to Him. Also, inside His teaching is packaged for you when, where and how to take each and every step that will enable your getting help. In turning your neck and lifting up your eyes, deny pride and arrogance. Let them not filter into your mind because the One you will be lifting up your eyes knows every thought of your heart. He alone will determine how to respond in helping you. This is what Hannah said in her prayer after getting out of bareness, 1Samuel 2:3, ÒTalk no more so very proudly; let no arrogance come from your mouth, for the LORD is the God of Knowledge; and by Him actions are weighed.Ó God will instruct you and teach you and His eye will be the One that is guiding you from every form of hindrances. Turn to Him and you will find out that He is consistent with His Word.

Deny Denial

1 Samuel 12

The 5th commandment of God reveals that God is a jealous God (Exodus 20:5). He meant what He said and He will do all that He has spoken. When God says that He is a jealous God, He does not mean that He is a slave master, but rather that He is a saving Master. This explains the reason why God will not force Himself on you in every decision or move that you take outside of His word. Are you presently moving in your own direction or in His direction that will give you life? During the terrible wilderness journey, the children of Israel experienced the hand of God and all that represented need was constantly provided for beyond and above the need (not want) of the children of Israel. After entering the Promised Land, they began to look for a king outside of the King of kings and the Lord God of deliverance and preservation. The children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel could not deny the denying agents, but they rather embrace it. They entered an unconscious way of provoking God into jealousy. Knowing God for whom He HisÉa saving master not a slave master, He granted them their request. Samuel reminded the children of Israel what they were about to get into in 1Samuel 12:12, ÒAnd when you saw that Nahash king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me, ÔNo, but a king shall reign over us,Õ when the LORD your God was your kingÓ. At every juncture that you take your eyes away from God, you will be taken away. The children of Israel unconsciously took their eyes away from God by looking at what Nahash king of the Ammonites represented for his people. As a result, GodÕs jealousy was provoked. Our God is able and He will supply all our needs if we will refuse to meet our needs outside of His hand. Ask Him for the grace to constantly deny the denying agents in your direction.

Mark 9:14-29

The devilÕs assignment is to take an opposite stand against every stand that is established in your life by God. Jesus came to give life and to give it more abundantly, but the devil is here on earth to take away that life given by Jesus. He is here to take it by robbery, forgery and all means of thievery. He is the chief among stubborn and he will not give up concerning his assignments on earth. The devil will always be around until the time comes for him to be bounded. As a result, he never stops striking at his targets. When Jesus was led by the spirit into the wilderness, he came up with his temptation but labored. Yet in his laboring, he did not give up and the Bible testifies to it in Luke 4:13, ÒNow when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.Ó The devil is always coming back because there is no giving up in his dictionary. His constant aim is to get the people of God. As a believer, you have to master the chosen words of the Master for there to be a permanent termination of any kind of affliction. Jesus demonstrated such when He commanded the unclean spirit out of the son that his disciples could not help. Knowing how the devil operates, JesusÕ command did not leave room for the second coming or the return of the unclean spirit. Mark 9:25, ÒWhen Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, ÒDeaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!Ó If you have gain a clear understanding of JesusÕ command in this verse, do not keep it in the back of your pocket when you take a stand against any form of affliction. Jesus commanded that unclean spirit by ordering it to come out of him and enter him no more. It is not enough for you to command the stubborn devil by just saying Òcome out of himÓ. You must back up your command by saying that he should not enter anymore. Do not operate in half understanding or else the devil will overcome you.

1 Samuel 1

The book of 1Samuel starts with the introduction of a certain man. 1 Samuel 1:1-3, ÒNow there was a certain man of Ramathaim Zophim, of the mountains of Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite. 2 And he had two wives: the name of one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. 3 This man went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to the LORD of hosts in < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Shiloh. Also the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.Ó As it is stated, he was consistent in going with his wives to worship and sacrifice to His God at Shiloh every year. Hannah, the beloved one, has no child and that was enough to stage a revolt by not going with her husband and Peninnah, the second wife. In her going, there was provocation from Peninnah for her being barren yet she did not give up in her going. In HannahÕs entire going, there was enough excuse for Hannah not to go but none of her excuse was enough to deny her a time of worship to the Lord. As a believer, is your circumstance generating enough excuse for you not to go to your place of worship any more? Your situation is not enough excuse for you to turn away from worshiping God. Hannah continued in her going to worship the God that did not open her womb. PeninnahÕs contribution was stated in 1Samuel 1:6, ÒAnd her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the LORD had closed her womb.Ó Although one may think that Hannah had legitimate reasons not to go to Shiloh, she did not allow these excuses to stop her from worshipping the God of miracles. It was this worship and trust in the Lord that inhabited her miracle. When you know that all is for God, do not give up because at His appointed time His presence will visit you with miracle. Do not give up because of what is around you; keep going because it is all about God.
