Good Part

GOOD PART< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 10:38-42

Where are you located in the Lord? Which part have you chosen? It is a great thing to be working in the house of the Lord, for the glory of God. However, when your work begins to take you away from the feet of the Lord then your priority has been misplaced. Where are you? What is your place in the house of God? Martha was in a good location when she welcomed the Lord into her place (Luke < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>10:38). There is no blessing like welcoming Jesus into our place. To have Jesus come into our place and not being in the right place could be a great loss. While Jesus was at MarthaÕs place, Mary the sister of Martha was positioned in the good place. Martha was busy working, serving and scrambling instead of serving and served by the Bread of Life. By this virtue, Martha became distracted and approached Jesus requesting for MaryÕs help in serving (Luke 10: 40). JesusÕ responded to Martha in Luke 10:41-42, ÒAnd Jesus answered and said to her, ÒMartha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.Ó Serving Him in the house should not take away from being served by Him. Martha was doing a good thing but Mary had chosen a good part. Every believer should understand that there is a place and time for everything (including work) in the house of God where His presence reigns and rule. Working in the house of God is great, but it should not take away the time to sit at His feet while He is in the house. It could be a misplacement of priority when distraction is caused by work. It is  good to serve Him but there is a need to choose a good part and that good part is serving in Him. Do not just serve Him also serve in Him.

Watch And Wait

WATCH AND WAIT< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Habakkuk 1, 2

Habakkuk was a prophet that lived in < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Judah during the day of King Jehoiakim. He was not a stranger to hearing from God, neither was he short of receiving answers from God when he presents his question to God. Despite the calling in the life of Habakkuk, he demonstrated that only by patiently watching and waiting can a man prevail in seeking and receiving from God. Having established a constant communication early in the book of Habakkuk it became obvious in his word that without watching patiently, hearing back from God can be impossible. The second chapter of Habakkuk recorded what it takes to get answer back from God. Habakkuk 2:1, ÒI will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.Ó HabakkukÕs self talk was in direction to God. He has been engaged in communicating back and forth with God. As the communication continues, there was a need for him to wait for response. HabakkukÕs attitude of patiently watching and waiting for GodÕs response is a lesson that needs to be written all over a believerÕs life. It does not matter at what level you are walking with God it will never take away the attitude of watching and waiting patiently. If there are to be any that waits and watch patiently for God, it should be the ones that walk closer with God. A constant and consistent watching and waiting patiently for God will no doubt bring forth a constant and consistent hearing and receiving from the Lord God. Are you having challenges in any area of life where it seems there is no answer to your concerns or where there is no way out in your journey? Have you spend time in waiting and watching? Demonstrate to God that regardless of your challenges you will not move without hearing from Him. He is a faithful God go and He will not fail you.

Lying

LYING< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Acts < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>4:32-37, 5:1-11

Every small lie will build up to a big time lie. Ananias and Sapphira were no strangers among the body of believers that voluntarily sell and share from their earnings. Ananias and Sapphira voluntarily sold possessions so as to voluntarily contribute their own portion. When it was time to declare what was gained from the selling of their possessions Ananias lied from the heart. Acts 5:3, ÒBut Peter said, ÔAnanias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?ÕÓ  Ananias kept back from being truthful to the gathering of the people of God. After the process of detecting and rebuking Ananias for lying, his wife Sapphira also came into the presence of the brethren. SapphiraÕs case was being in agreement with the husband to lie to the gathering of the people of God. Acts 5:9, ÒThen Peter said to her, ÔHow is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.Ó Both the husband and wife received instant judgment for not being truthful in the gathering that was before the Almighty God. A believerÕs lying or an agreement with a liar will always lead to a sudden or untimely death. The Bible did not mention how long the husband and wife had been lying but it is possible that they started by telling small lies before getting into big time lying. Ask God to search you and know your heart so that the Spirit of God will bring you out of lying that could lead to a sudden and untimely death.

Year By Year

YEAR BY YEAR< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

1 Samuel 1

Encouragement in the Word of God is the only vehicle that will carry you through in your journey when there is expectation for your miracle. It does not matter how long you have been waiting neither does it matter how much you have left to go in your journey. Elkanah had two wives and one was barren while the other one was fruitful. Hannah was barren and Peninnah was fruitful. Both had to go to < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Shiloh yearly with their husband (Elikanah) to worship and sacrifice to the LORD of hosts. There was no any indication of complaint from Hannah not to go yearly despite provocation from Penniah. 1Samuel 1:6, ÒAnd her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the LORD had closed her womb.Ó Have you been experiencing provocation as a result of lack, set backs, denial, road block and every other operation of the agents of enemy that have positioned itself in your life? It can be challenging for you to receive and accept or not accept any advice from brethren concerning your situation. If you will take some time out of all kinds of advice and seek counsel from how Hannah prevailed you will learn more than expected. The root of HannahÕs breakthrough was perseverance. The Bible declared in 1Samuel 1:7, ÒSo it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, that she provoked her; therefore she wept and did not eat.Ó In the face of mockery and ridicule Hannah remained consistent in going year by year. It is not the right time for you to give up your faith. Allow your faith to rise as you rise up on your feet and keep on going with your eyes fixed on Jesus; you will get through with your breakthrough. Hannah did not give up until her miracle located her. Do not be unwise, but be wise by not giving up seeing that your miracle is on its way. Call Hannah in 1Samuel 1 and she will tell you about what else she engaged herself in before receiving the manifestation of her expectation. Look up and lock yourself unto the Word of God it will unlock all that is locking you down. He is a faithful God.

Just Worship

JUST WORSHIP< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Matthew 8:1-4

Matthew 8:1-2, ÒWhen He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. 2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, ÔLord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.ÕÓ The leper brought his request to Jesus in worship. When he came to worship, he acknowledged that being in GodÕs will is the best place to be. Despite his leprosy and regardless of his healing desire he called for the LordÕs will to be done. The leper is not ignorant of the fact that Jesus can make him clean when he called for the will of God to be done. It is very important to learn from the approach of the leper to the throne of grace. You know what has kept you away from where you want to be, you have the clear understanding of what has been a representative of leprosy in your life. All your prayers have centered on the changes that you want to see as regard to your situation. Now it is time to begin to redirect your prayer point like that of the man with leprosy. Let the healing Healer know that He is more than capable to intervene in your situation but then His will is what you want for your life. When the leper prayed a prayer of worship, Jesus was provoked and He moved His hand. The Bible recorded in Matthew 8:3, ÒThen Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, ÔI am willing; be cleansed.ÕÓ Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.ÕÓ His hand is healing deliverance and preservation. Concerning your need, worship Him in prayer and provoke His hand for your blessing.
