Avoid Stagnation

AVOID STAGNATION < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Genesis 11:31, 12:1-9

The land that God called Abraham to go was the original destination of Terah, the father of Abraham. Genesis 11:31-32, ÒAnd Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son AbramÕs wife, and they went out with them from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they came to Haran and dwelt there. 32 So the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Haran The same land of Canaan was the one that God eventually called Abraham to go. One would always wonder what is it that has caused Terah to start a journey and not get to the end of his journey. Could it have been that the comfort in Haran got Terah stagnated? Terah lived for two hundred and fifty years. With so many years on his side, he must have had enough wake-up calls to get him on track towards his original destination, but comfort (convenience) must have held him hostage in Haran. It was in the same Haran that God called Abraham to go out from to the land of Canaan. Whenever there is a move from bondage into the journey of promise or salvation, there is a clear indication that multitude or comfort (convenience) is bound to cause distraction or denial from getting to the expected end. When Abraham was called, he was not to take with himself the entire multitude that Terah took with himself. God instructed Abraham to get out of his country, family and from his fatherÕs house (Genesis 12:1). Have you entered into a journey where stagnation is beginning to show its face by way of convenience or multitude at your stop over? Do not let your stop over overtake your final destination. Ask God to enable you in getting to your expected end in the journey that you have embarked on. God is a faithful God and He will see you through if you are willing to go through.

Improtant To Pray

IMPORTANT TO PRAY< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 24:13-32

Ask God to deliver you from whatever it is that causes the Word of God not to burn in your heart of a believer. The Bible recorded in Luke 24 about two who were no strangers to the Living Word of God, but could not catch the fire nature of His word when the word located them on their journey. You have given your life to the Lord and you are no longer a stranger to almost every word of Jesus. Is the Word burning in you? It is not good to know about the Word and not have the Word burning on a consistent basis. If the Word is not burning, it will constantly make Him to vanish from the sight of a believer. Luke 24:31-32, ÒThen their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. 32 And they said to one another, ÒDid not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?Ó Jesus walked with the two long enough for them to enter into a breakthrough miracle, but they only recognized Him at His vanishing point. The problem of the two was that the Word that was spoken to them, the Word that they were receiving all through their walk with Jesus, did not catch fire in them and as a result, their heart failed to burn within them while He talked with them on the way. The Word of God is not scarce today and it is constantly in your face if you are a believer that spends time in the Bible regularly. Whatever it is that is quenching the burning of the Word in your life does have a need to give up on you. If you are indeed willing to move forward with Him and also to maintain a constant communication, your heart has to be in a place where the Word is burning at all time. Ask Him for the grace to make your heart a place where His Word is not getting quenched when it comes into you.

Healing Touch

HEALING TOUCH< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Matthew 8:1-17

Only God sees and hears about all that is humiliating you; all which is causing pain; all which is grieving you and all that is making you shed tears in this journey of life. 2Chronicles16:9 and Zechariah < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>4:10 confirm that the eyes of God go to and fro the earth. He alone sees all and hears all at the same time. If you will come and look up to Him with expectation for a manifestation, God will not look away from you. He will touch you just as He touched the leper that came to Him. Matthew 8:2-3, ÒAnd behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, ÒLord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.Ó 3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, ÒI am willing; be cleansed.Ó Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.Ó In His touch, there is healing and there is restoration. Today is your day of receiving His touch. Come to Him in your heart knowing fully well that there is no limitation in how He works. In the same chapter, it is written that through touching, PeterÕs mother-in-law was free from the sickness of fever. Matthew 8:14-15, ÒNow when Jesus had come into PeterÕs house, He saw his wifeÕs mother lying sick with a fever. 15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.Ó Wherever you are, remind Him concerning the miracle that is inhabited in His touching and make yourself positioned by coming unto Him in prayer. Ask for His touching that will release you from all that has remained problems in your life. God is a faithful God.

One Word

ONE WORD< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 19:28-37

Just one Word of God is enough to terminate every struggle in the life of a believer or non-believer. Whenever the Word of God finds an entrance in the life of the hearer, it will not leave without putting its mark of deliverance on the receiver. Luke 19: 30-31, ÒSaying, ÔGo into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. 31 And if anyone asks you, Why are you loosing it? Thus you shall say to him, Because the Lord has need of it.ÕÓ All that the Lord Jesus gave His disciples that went to get the colt was His Word. There was no note or any evidence of persuasive means but the Word of God which is power. The Word of Jesus was received by the disciples without questioning Jesus. The disciples didnÕt have second thoughts about the word by asking, Ôwhat if they did not let the colt go for themÕ they also did not present any suggestion for getting something different if the colt was not available. The disciples went with the Word and the colt owner responded by asking why the colt was being loose. In response, the Word of Jesus went out in Luke < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>19:34, ÒAnd they said, ÔThe Lord has need of him.ÕÓ  The colt owner responded without any questioning or investigation of the Word and he let the colt go. Often times when the Word sounds in your direction, your knowing too much hinders you. Your questioning and investigation leads to your stagnation and the miracle for your breakthrough ceases. As you enter into a new day, week, or month, let the Word and not your world, have its way. Allow the Word that sounds in your direction release you unto serving the One that has created you for His glory and service.

Provocation

PROVOCATION< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Isaiah 1

This is what is written in Isaiah 1:4, ÒAlas, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a brood of evildoers, children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the LORD, They have provoked to anger the Holy One of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel, they have turned backward.Ó The Lord was provoked to anger. He is a living God that can be provoked to anger. If God can be provoked to anger by His children, surely He can also be provoked to being calm with His children. What would you want to see from God? Would anyone prefer His anger to His calmness? Without any doubt, when GodÕs calmness is in place, being in His rest will reign. Once in the journey of the children of Israel from bondage to the promise land, Moses needed direction in the way, Exodus 33:13-14, ÒNow therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.Ó 14 And He said, ÒMy Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.Ó The point here is that the presence of God generates rest. When He is provoked by virtue of one doing what is good in His sight, having His rest will be activated and His rest is His presence. GodÕs presence will give and lead in the right direction. Do you think of provoking His hands for good? Isaiah prescribed what it takes to provoke Him for good, Isaiah 1:16-17, ÒWash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, 17 Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor: defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.Ó It is always good to be on GodÕs side. There is no need in provoking Him unto anger. God cannot be deceived and no man can hide from Him. Above all, in as much that He will not overlook sin so He will not overlook that which is right. Encourage yourself in the Lord today. Let all of your way be of positive provocation of the hands of God in your favor.
