Yourself

YOURSELF< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 14:15-24

Jesus communicated a parable of a great supper where a certain man sent his servants out with invitation for this great supper. Among all that were invited, none showed up. The invitees all gave the same kinds of excuses. Luke 14:18-20, ÒBut they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ÔI have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.Õ 19 And another said, ÔI have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.Õ 20 Still another said, ÔI have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.ÕÓ Self is a great terminator of man in answering the call of following Jesus fully. Self is a reasonable excuse. Self is an excusable excuse and self excuse can be a very popular one. Self excuse, however, is a self centeredness that will never add to progress of manÕs progress in the kingdom journey. Before God, the greatest and best excuse failed in the Garden of Eden. God gave Adam direction not to eat from the tree of life but he justifiably ate from the tree. At the visitation of God, there was indication he had eaten from the tree. God asked Adam if he had eaten from the tree. Genesis 3:12, ÒThen the man said, ÒThe woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.Ó Adam had a good excuse because it was not him that asked for Eve. AdamÕs excuse was rooted in ÒIÓ. All the ones that were invited into the home of the certain man in the parable of the great super had reasonable excuse but it did not count before the master of ceremony. Every man and woman does have a good excuse not to answer His invitation, after all it is our body and we can chose to do what we want. When His trumpet sounds, He will also do what He has said He will do. If you let self, self will let you down.

Positioning

POSITIONING< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Luke 17:11-19

It is one thing to ask from God and it is another to be in a position to receive from Him. Often when we ask, and when it is time for Him to deliver our request, we are out of position. Imagine lepers working their healing through perfect positioning. When Jesus entered the village where the lepers were standing, the lepers knew what they needed to do to get cleansed from leprosy. Luke 17:12-13, ÒThen as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, ÔJesus, Master, have mercy on us!ÕÓ To the ten lepers, distance was not a hindrance. Standing far off from Jesus could not stop them from lifting their voices in calling on the Master for mercy. In your case, it is not a time of weeping and gnashing of teeth, it is time to call on Him despite the fact that your case is facing impossibilities and frustrations. When the lepersÕ voices were lifted, Jesus heard and He responded. Luke 17:14, ÒSo when He saw them, He said to them, ÒGo, show yourselves to the priests.Ó And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.Ó How could showing off leprosy bring forth cleansing from leprosy? The question did not cross the minds of the ten lepers; it was obeying the command that crossed their minds. The lepers went without questioning the MasterÕs command. Positioning yourself in obedience to GodÕs command will not fail to deliver the blessing of God. Which position do you need to enter in order to receive what you have asked from Him? God will open your eyes and ears of understanding.

Sinful Act

SINFUL ACT< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Numbers 32:1-27

It does not matter how long it takes or how creative you are, your sinful act will eventually find you out. The sons of Jacob committed a great and deliberate iniquity against their brother Joseph by selling their brother to slavery. Afterwards, they went home and lied to their father that Joseph has been devoured by a wild animal. It was a creative way of sinning but creativity does not prevail forever. Often, we fall into a sinful act thinking and knowing that we have creatively covered the sin. God is omnipotent and omnipresent; nothing is hidden or can be hidden from Him. Playing religion, lying, stealing, manipulating, deceiving, and all avenues of evil to destroy man from answering the call is not and will not be hidden from Him. For years, the sons of Jacob were riding high with the mindset of having destroyed their brother. Is there any way that you have taken like the ones that were taken against Joseph? It is time for us to begin to avoid creative sinning. The sinful act was discovered from Judah and his brothers. Genesis 44:16, ÒThen < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Judah said, ÒWhat shall we say to my lord? What shall we speak? Or how shall we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants; here we are, my lordÕs slaves, both we and he also with whom the cup was found.Ó Judah gave a confession of their sinful act. By constantly considering that sinful acts will not last forever, we do not have to go through what Judah and his brothers went through. Moses sounded the warning of sin finding out the sinner to the children of Reuben and the children of Gad at the point of committing a sinful act to God. Numbers 32:23, ÒBut if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out.Ó MosesÕ warning is a confirmation that sin will always find the sinner. Remember, there is no place to hide from the hand of God.

Calendar

CALENDAR< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Exodus 12:1-20

What is it that has remained the same for so long in your life? It seems so long that you are beginning to think there is no way out because all help has failed and none has prevailed. The children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel experienced the same situation until God change their calendar with a new arrangement. Exodus 12:1- 2 Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, ÒThis month shall be your beginning of the month; it shall be the first month of the year to you.Ó This is an indication of a change in calendar. God gave them a new order of month arrangement.  God was about to move them out of years of bondage. It was time for change.  The old way of reading their months was to be replaced by a new way of reading their months. God was about to exchange their calendar with a new calendar. It was a calendar for a new beginning in their journey. A new calendar will give a new purpose in life, a new testimony and a new direction. God changed their calendar.  The angel of death passed through the land without touching them or any of their belongings. God can change your calendar for good and for better. The word that He spoke to the children of Israel is also speaking to you if you will receive it as yours. Position yourself inside His word, His word are true and amen. He is not a partial God. God is a perfect God. God is a God of new beginning. I pray this day as you set your eyes on this good news, God will start a new calendar in your life and in every area that concerns you. Great is His faithfulness. I pray that the newness of His mercy shall be added unto you in Jesus name.

Finger Of God

FINGER OF GOD< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Exodus 8:1-19

It does not matter where you are, what season it is, or what you are doing. Pray that in your current situation the finger of God will come upon your life in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. While on His earthly journey Jesus cast out a demon and was accused by some that He cast out demons by Beelzebub. They had no reason to doubt Him, but they did. To us believers His handwriting is on the wall. He is risen and He is a living God. What He said He will do, He will do, has done and is still doing. If you believe in the prayer answering God, lift up your voice and ask for the finger of God to come upon you. The finger of God is for the miracle of deliverance and healing. The reason you ask is to deny sickness and disease a place in your life. Jesus responded to His detractors in Luke < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>11:20, ÒBut if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the Kingdom of God has come upon you.Ó JesusÕ response here is a demonstration that the finger of God is a healing finger. This same finger is mentioned in the deliverance of the Children of Israel from the affliction and oppression of Egypt.  Exodus 8:19, ÒThen the magicians said to Pharaoh, ÔThis is the finger of God, but PharaohÕs heart grew hard, and he did not heed them just as the LORD had said.ÕÓ If a magician can recognize the finger of God from the finger of man, then a believer should know better. The finger of God brings forth deliverance and is not limited in power. It worked in Bible times and it is still working for those who ask for it. Ask God today for that same finger to have its everlasting way in your life.
