{"id":10009,"date":"2022-08-03T15:49:47","date_gmt":"2022-08-03T15:49:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=10009"},"modified":"2022-08-03T15:49:47","modified_gmt":"2022-08-03T15:49:47","slug":"live-for-god-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=10009","title":{"rendered":"LIVE FOR GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:\u00a0<\/strong>Obedience to the word of God is to live life for God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Genesis 22<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What kind of a believer are you?<br \/>Is it your desire to live for God?<br \/>Are you questioning why the promises of God do not have a place in your life?<br \/>To claim the promise of God comes with a condition.<br \/>With God, the condition to claim His promises demands to live a life of obedience to His command, His word.<br \/>Obediently, live life as obedient to the word of God.<br \/>In the journey of life, live by the command of God.<br \/>Are you living a life of obedience or disobedience?<br \/>Obedience to God will drive the obedient one to arrive at the divine assignment, but disobedience will derail not to reach as expected before God.<br \/>Abraham lived a life of obedience to the word of God.\u00a0<br \/>God called him out of his land and his family when he answered obediently God.\u00a0<br \/>The test of God for Abraham was his obedience in answering the calling to go and sacrifice Isaac, his son.\u00a0<strong><em>Genesis 22:1-3<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0records:\u00a0<strong><em>&#8220;Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, \u201cAbraham!\u201d And he said, \u201cHere I am.\u201d Then He said, \u201cTake now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.\u201d So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br \/>The obedience of Abraham counted as a faith that positioned him for the divine assignment.\u00a0<strong><em>(Hebrews 11:8)<\/em><\/strong><br \/>Abraham obeyed; he could not fail before God but was able to claim the promises of God for his life.\u00a0<strong><em>(Hebrews 11:17)<\/em><\/strong><br \/>Just like Abraham, all should give themselves to live by the word of God with no excuse not to live by His word.<br \/>In the journey of life, there is no reasonable excuse for disobedience to God.<br \/>Claiming to be living a life of obedience is easier said than done.<br \/>Live a life of obedience before God that sees all ways of life under heaven.<br \/>To live a life with the fear of God is encased in the humble and become obedient to God continually.<br \/>The word of God will cause tenderness of heart to be a place for humility.\u00a0<br \/>Without humility, obedience is not possible.\u00a0<br \/><strong><em>Philippians 2:8<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0record the experience of Jesus when He walked through the earth,\u00a0<strong><em>\u201cAnd being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br \/>The humble ones know to fear God.\u00a0<br \/>Do you fear God in deed and truth?\u00a0<br \/>To be lost from the word of God will be disobedient to lose the rightful position in God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:&nbsp;<\/strong>Pray to Know God, to fear Him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE:\u00a0Obedience to the word of God is to live life for God.
