{"id":10220,"date":"2022-11-06T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-06T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=10220"},"modified":"2022-11-05T18:13:47","modified_gmt":"2022-11-05T18:13:47","slug":"his-commandment-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=10220","title":{"rendered":"COMMANDMENT OF GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong>&nbsp;What does the commandment mean to you?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>John 8:1-36<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commandment of God is His law to guide man.&nbsp;<br \/>Commandments of God are the purpose of God for all to love.&nbsp;<br \/>The command of God did not change from the time of the Old Testament till today.&nbsp;<br \/><em><strong>Galatians 5:14<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;records the urgency of the purpose of the commandments stating,&nbsp;<em><strong>\u201cFor all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: \u201cYou shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><br \/>The commandments of God are fulfilled for all to love others as God loves us.<br \/>In the book of&nbsp;<em><strong>1Timothy 1:5-6<\/strong><\/em>, the word of God identified three avenues for love demonstration before God:&nbsp;<em><strong>\u201cNow the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Loving from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith stands to count before God.<br \/>Ones that love with pure heart strive for a good conscience, with sincere faith.&nbsp;<br \/>One that claims faith (as many in the church do) and does not have a good conscience is impossible.<br \/>Conscience is the sense of right and wrong that governs the thoughts and actions of one.<br \/>Actions of one before God demonstrates such faith before God.&nbsp;<em><strong>1 Samuel 2:3<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;buttresses,&nbsp;<em><strong>\u201c\u2026For the Lord is the God of knowledge; and by Him, actions are weighed.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Conscience is what convicts man to turn man from what is not right before God.<br \/>Lying, deception, and manipulation are the identities of many acclaimed believers, the evidence of one that lacks a conscience.&nbsp;<br \/>Also, the lack of conscience will cause a believer to live life in empty pride consciously or unconsciously.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>Conscience is responsible for conviction in life.&nbsp;<br \/>However, pride often hinders one not to respond to conscience when the conviction is in place.&nbsp;<br \/>Conscience will convict one that is ready to disregard pride.&nbsp;<br \/>The Pharisees led a woman caught in adultery to Jesus with the hope of a judgment over the adultery woman.<br \/>They requested stoning her according to the Law of Moses.&nbsp;<br \/>Jesus responds,&nbsp;<em><strong>\u201cHe who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.\u201d (John 8:7)<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;<br \/>The book of&nbsp;<em><strong>John 8:9<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;documents the people to the response to Jesus,&nbsp;<em><strong>\u201cThen those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>All are to strive for conscience and not become to grow in having love before God.&nbsp;<br \/>The defense of Paul before Felix made it known in his statement that conscience is what all should strive to become part of life.
