{"id":10713,"date":"2023-06-18T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-18T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=10713"},"modified":"2023-06-18T00:19:04","modified_gmt":"2023-06-18T00:19:04","slug":"get-to-know-god-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=10713","title":{"rendered":"GET TO KNOW GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>\u00a0FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong>\u00a0David did not run where he needed to walk because he knew his God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Matthew 14:22-33<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The anticipation of the possibility that something hostile will happen is a way of describing fear.<br \/>Fear is a deadly weapon of the devil.\u00a0<br \/>Fear does not discriminate and will strike regardless of title or age.\u00a0<br \/>Fear will always take center stage in the life of anyone when faith is off the stage.\u00a0<br \/>The devil is a deceptive one, and by him, fear often sneaks into one by way of concern or anxiety.\u00a0<br \/>The Bible warns,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cCast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><br \/>David testified,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cYea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.\u201d (Psalm 23:4)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>David did not run where he needed to walk because he knew his God.\u00a0<br \/>To know God is to understand that the word of God and the hand of God shall not fail over their life.\u00a0<br \/>Do you know your God to trust Him not to run where you are to walk?\u00a0<br \/>The word of God admonishes,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.\u201d (Philippians 4:6-7)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>Are you living in anxiousness or in the abundance of the word of God that Jesus made available for all?<br \/>Once during the late hour of the day and in the middle of the water, a storm took over the journey of life for the disciples.\u00a0<br \/>The disciples were on the journey to the other side of the sea when the storm was in control, and they were in fear.<br \/>Jesus showed up to rescue the disciples.\u00a0<br \/><em><strong>Matthew 14:25-26\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>records,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cNow in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, \u2018It is a ghost!\u2019 And they cried out for fear.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>With fear, Peter asked Jesus to command them to walk on the water.\u00a0<br \/>Jesus responded to the request of Peter by commanding him to come.\u00a0<em><strong>Matthew 14:29-30<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0records,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201c\u2026and when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, \u2018Lord, save me!\u2019\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>Peter obeyed to walk on the water.<br \/>In his walk, he redirected his eyes away from Jesus to give his attention to the troubling storm, and fear took charge as his faith sank.\u00a0<br \/>Deny fear to engage faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong><em>&nbsp;Ask against keeping eyes away from Jesus, the evidence of having trust and hope not to be a victim of fear.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0FAITH CAPSULE:\u00a0David did not run where he needed to walk because he knew his God.
