Numbers 14<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

POSITIVE TESTIMONY
The testimonies of King David prompted a great and mighty deliverance when he overcame Goliath.\u00a0
In his attempt to go and fight Goliath, King Saul was discouraged when he said to David,\u00a0\u201c\u2026You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.\u201d (1 Samuel 17:33)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>
David refused to be discouraged but gave an account of what he was able to do as he responded to King Saul,\u00a0\u201c\u2026Your servant used to keep his father\u2019s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, 35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.\u201d (1 Samuel 17:34-35)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>
The threat of Goliath could not intimidate David.
Instead, David dwelt on what God enabled him to do in his past.
1 Samuel 17:37\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>records,\u00a0\u201cThe LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
David, by the word of his testimony, was able to overcome the giant challenge of Goliath.\u00a0\u00a0
NEGATIVE TESTIMONY
The children of Israel experienced a great miracle when they came out of their bondage of over four hundred years and passed through the Red Sea on dry land, yet their testimonies denied them from the Promised Land.\u00a0
The Israelites responded to the report the spy submitted when they investigated the Promised Land.
Numbers 14: 2-4<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0records a negative confession,\u00a0\u201c\u2026If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! 3 Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt? 4 So they said to one another, \u2018Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>
God heard the testimony of the Israelites to send Moses to the Israelites,\u00a0\u201cSay to them, \u2018As I live,\u2019 says the LORD, \u2018just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you.\u2019\u201d (Numbers 14:28)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
In truth, numbers from twenty years old and up, except Caleb and Joshua, were exempted by God, while others failed to reach the Promised Land because of their testimony.

David saw challenges, and his testimonies powered his victory over the Goliath.
The children of Israel saw challenges, confessed negatively, and could not arrive at the Promised Land.\u00a0
In facing challenges, give positive testimonies, meditate, confess, and be established for the glory of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
