{"id":11020,"date":"2023-11-29T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=11020"},"modified":"2023-11-26T00:23:04","modified_gmt":"2023-11-26T00:23:04","slug":"god-is-merciful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=11020","title":{"rendered":"GOD IS MERCIFUL"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:\u00a0<\/strong>Repentance and restoration is the mercy of God.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Luke 15<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Repentance from the heart will bring forth restoration.<br \/>A parable is an everyday truth that has spiritual application.\u00a0It is an earthly truth with a heavenly meaning.\u00a0<br \/>Jesus spoke many times using parables.\u00a0<br \/>He gave a parable of the lost son.\u00a0<br \/>This parable connotes the mind of God concerning repentance and restoration of all from sin.\u00a0<br \/>Jesus said,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cA certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, \u2018Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.\u2019 So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.\u201d (Luke 15:11-14)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>Jesus went to the cross to shed His blood, a plan for restoration for all. In the parable, the younger son had his possessions and went far from his father.\u00a0<br \/>No one should go far from the presence of God in this wicked world. Going far is choosing a way that will always be a way of death.\u00a0<br \/>Going far from Him will lead to a wasted life.\u00a0<br \/>A wasted life will always provoke a life of \u201cwant\u201d and \u201crelegation\u201d from what God wants all to be.\u00a0<br \/>Going far from Him will expose one to every trouble of this world.\u00a0<br \/>How are you living life?\u00a0<br \/>Are you living in the fear of God?\u00a0<br \/>Have you gone far from Him like the prodigal son?\u00a0<br \/><em><strong>Luke 15:17-19\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>records,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cBut when he came to himself, he said, \u2018How many of my father\u2019s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0It is time to come back to yourself like the prodigal son.\u00a0<br \/>The prodigal son arose and came to his father.\u00a0<br \/>The Bible records,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cBut when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
