FAITH CAPSULE:\u00a0<\/strong>Know to be waiting on God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 Samuel 1<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Praying is a way of life.
God answers prayer with yes, no, or wait.
One thing God cannot do: God cannot fail!
Are you praying or sleeping before God?
Luke 22:46 records, \u201c\u2026why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
Is your prayer at the back seat while temptation drives you into sin to become far from God?\u00a0
Jesus, in His Parable of Persistent Widow, pointed out praying before God and not losing heart.
Praying to God with persistence despite experiencing the manifestation is waiting on God.\u00a0
The barrenness challenge of Hannah did not stop her from going to Shiloh yearly to worship and sacrifice to God.\u00a0
Hannah was persistent until God opened her womb.\u00a0
Waiting on God can usually entail staying for either a short or long period. God answers individuals in different ways at His times.\u00a0
God will not answer prayer outside of His appointed time.
The Psalmist identified some different lengths of time for waiting:\u00a0
Psalm 25:5: \u201c\u2026On you, I will wait all day.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
Psalm 62:1, \u201cTruly my soul silently waits for God\u2026\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
Psalm 37:7, \u201cRest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
Hosea 12:6, \u201c\u2026wait on your God continually.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
Philippians 3:20, \u201cFor our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
The time to wait on God has to be patiently, continually, silently, and eagerly.\u00a0
Waiting on God can take longer than expected, but God will always manifest Himself when we patiently wait for Him.
IN TIME OF WAITING
In your waiting, acknowledge God, remind Him, and always make your request known to Him.
Acknowledge God:<\/em>\u00a0He is a jealous God, and the antidote to jealousy is attention.\u00a0
God enjoys our attention.\u00a0Proverbs 3:6, \u201cIn all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
Get to know God in your waiting to be encouraged.
Psalm 25:8 encourages,\u00a0\u201cGood and upright is the Lord; therefore He teaches sinners in the way.\u201d (Psalm 25:8)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
Waiting without acknowledging the Lord is waiting in anguish.
Reminding God:<\/em>\u00a0Reminding God is not because God has forgotten you. The word of God encourages,\u00a0\u201c\u2026and concerning the works of my hands, you command me.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(Isaiah 45:11)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
Anyone who remembers the works of His hands will know how to command Him as stated in His word.\u00a0
The Psalmist reminded Him in\u00a0Psalm 25:6, \u201cRemember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your loving kindnesses\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0God is a good and great God.\u00a0
Request from God:<\/em>\u00a0He wants all to ask.\u00a0
Jesus encourages us in\u00a0Luke 11:9, \u201cSo I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
Psalm 25:16\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>encourages all to ask,\u00a0\u201cTurn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me, For I am desolate and afflicted.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
He is the God of salvation and not a slave master, and He responds to requests to demonstrate His love for all.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
