{"id":11810,"date":"2025-01-23T06:56:22","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T06:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=11810"},"modified":"2025-01-23T06:56:22","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T06:56:22","slug":"steadfast-spirit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=11810","title":{"rendered":"STEADFAST SPIRIT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> A steadfast spirit enables Caleb and Joshua to follow God fully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Numbers 14<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One that follows God follows the word of God to serve God.<br \/>Are you serving God not to miss heaven?<br \/>Jesus said,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cNot everyone who says to Me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.\u201d (Matthew 7:21)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Does that speak to you?\u00a0<br \/>The will of the Father is to live by the word of God.\u00a0<br \/>Is it your desire to serve God by following Jesus fully?\u00a0<br \/>To follow Him fully (to serve God) demands to be steadfast.<br \/>One who is self-full cannot be steadfast in serving God.\u00a0<br \/>Following is not a one-time or an on-and-off way of life.\u00a0<br \/>Following the word demands to be steadfast, to fix in direction, or to be firm in purpose.\u00a0<br \/>To be steadfast in following the living word of God is not a self-satisfying engagement, and one who is self-full cannot be possibly steadfast.\u00a0<br \/>King David realized the importance and the need for one to be steadfast when he called on God in\u00a0<em><strong>Psalm 51:10, \u201cCreate in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><br \/>A steadfast spirit is what caused Caleb and Joshua to follow God fully. Caleb and Joshua refused to flow with the crowd and did not confess negatively against the word of God that promised them a land that flows with milk and honey.\u00a0<br \/>Caleb and Joshua were positive to follow the word of God in the face of Moses and all the people positively.\u00a0<br \/>By their positive confession, God declared,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cMy servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.\u201d (Numbers 14:24)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>Following the command of God follows God fully.<br \/>When God called Elisha through Elijah,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201c\u2026He left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, \u2018Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.\u2019 And he said to him, \u2018Go back again, for what have I done to you?\u2019\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em><strong>So Elisha turned back from him and, took a yoke of oxen and, slaughtered them and boiled their flesh, using the oxen\u2019s equipment, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah, and became his servant.\u201d (1 King 19:20-21)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Elisha left everything behind to answer the calling of God.\u00a0<br \/>In answering, Elisha demonstrates steadfastness.\u00a0<br \/>He emptied himself from all that could have held him back.\u00a0<br \/>Elisha used his oxen equipment as a boiler for the slaughtered oxen.\u00a0<br \/>Elisha followed the calling of God steadfastly.\u00a0<br \/>Whatever one cannot forsake for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven will disqualify such to answer as the candidate for the Kingdom of Heaven.<br \/>Be steadfast in following fully, and God will reward you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:&nbsp;<\/strong><em>Ask for a clean and renewed heart and steadfast spirit within you.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: A steadfast spirit enables Caleb and Joshua to follow God fully.
