{"id":12090,"date":"2025-07-13T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-07-13T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12090"},"modified":"2025-07-11T19:53:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T19:53:09","slug":"to-depart-from-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12090","title":{"rendered":"TO DEPART FROM GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE: <\/strong>A disobedience to the word of God is to depart from Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Jonah 1<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manifestly, fleeing from the presence of God is to be presentable for the adversary of man.<br \/>Jonah failed before God when he walked against the command of God.<br \/>Disobedience to God is making a choice that is the opposite of living life for God.<br \/>A failure is self-created for self-destruction.<br \/>A failure to obey is without exception.<br \/>A failure to obey does have consequences.<br \/>Jonah, a prophet in the hand of God, failed to obey the word of God and experienced the consequence before God.<br \/>Without doubt, the word of God is God.<br \/>Hearing and listening to the word of God is to obey the word of God, to assess the presence of God.<br \/>The Bible records in <strong><em>Jonah 1:1, \u201cNow the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, \u201cArise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br \/>God called on Jonah, but he failed to answer the calling.<br \/>The disobedience of Jonah to the word of God was a departure from the presence of God.<br \/>Departure from the presence of God will lead to destruction.<br \/>The departure of Jonah states,<strong><em>\u201c\u2026Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.\u201d (Jonah 1:3)<\/em><\/strong><br \/>Manifestly, fleeing from the presence of God is to be presentable for the adversary of the sinner.<br \/>The disobedience of Jonah became part of the vehicle of transportation.<br \/>Who is in your company?<br \/>Are you riding with sinners before God?<br \/>It can be dangerous to engage sinners before God.<br \/>The disobedience of Jonah set the passengers up for destruction.<br \/>Jonah was the result of the trouble during the storm.<br \/>Despite disobedience, Jonah claimed in <strong><em>Jonah 1:9, \u201cSo he said to them, \u201cI am a Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br \/>To know God and not obey is no excuse for the consequences.<br \/>Jonah was heading in the direction of self-destruction.<br \/>God is the only creator of man, the commander with the expectation of obedience before Him.<br \/>God expects all to be obedient always to His command.<br \/>Before God, there is no excuse for disobedience but consequences. Before God, there is hope for one who gives self to repentance before God.<br \/>Are you a present-day Jonah?<br \/>Are you a conscious obedience or disobedience of the word of God? Disobeying builds for disobedience to the word of God.<br \/>Do not take a position of self-destruction.<br \/>Obeying the living word of God is walking on a ground that does not fail or falter for the obedient children of God.<br \/>In the journey of life, obey the word of God to avoid self-destruction.<br \/>Do not be a victim of disobedience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today: <\/strong><em>Ask God for the strength that enables your obedience to His command continually.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: A disobedience to the word of God is to depart from Him.
