FAITH CAPSULE:\u00a0<\/strong>With no obedience, one cannot follow God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John 2:1-12<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obedience drives following God.
One who cannot obey the word of God cannot follow God.
Obedience to the word of God is taking a step not to despise God.\u00a0
Proverbs 13:13\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>warns, \u201cHe who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
One who fears God obeys the word of God.
Obedience to the word of God will save life.
One who fears God lives with the evidence of trusting in God and what He can do.\u00a0
Obeying the word of God is what marks one as following God.\u00a0
Do you obey the word of God fully or partially?
There is no room for partial obedience to the word of God, but to fully obey God.
To fully obey will expose one to gain from God.
The importance of obedience is recorded in the documentation of a wedding in Cana.
John 2:1-2\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>states, \u201c\u2026there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
A wedding with Jesus as the guest of honor is set not to be harassed by shame of lack.\u00a0
Considering having Jesus as a guest of all that marks you.
Have you invited Jesus into your marriage or your life?\u00a0
Jesus was a guest at the wedding in Cana, where shame was about harassing the host.
At the wedding, to discolor the wedding when there was no more wine to serve.\u00a0
At the wedding in Cana of Galilee, the mother of Jesus approached Jesus for intervention that would save the wedding celebration from shame due to a lack of wine.\u00a0
Jesus responded to the calling of His mother for intervention,\u00a0\u201c\u2026Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (John 2:4)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
The response of Jesus was delivered to the mother of Jesus to encourage the servants at the wedding with her response.
John 2:5\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>records, \u201cHis mother said to the servants, ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0
What is the Word of God that is missing in your challenges, like marriage or lifestyle, because of your disobedience?\u00a0
One will search for oneself to know what He commands in His word.\u00a0
Jesus said to them, \u201cFill the waterpots with water.\u201d And they filled them up to the brim.\u201d (John 2:7)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>
The servants obeyed unquestionably.
Can you testify as one living by the word of God?
In the place of lack, engaging the command of God is the evidence of faith.
Jesus commanded the waterpots to be filled with water.\u00a0
As the disciples obeyed, the wedding took a new turn from shame to fame for the glory of God.
Be obedient to the word of God.
Allow the command of the word of God to begin to rule your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
