{"id":12147,"date":"2025-08-13T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12147"},"modified":"2025-08-12T18:05:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T18:05:52","slug":"why-not-ask","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/faithprescription.com\/?p=12147","title":{"rendered":"WHY NOT ASK?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAITH CAPSULE:<\/strong> Why not ask God just as He prompts all to do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Psalm 32, 94&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is it the lack of faith that stops one from asking when God directs to ask, seek, and knock?<br \/>Why not ask God just as He prompts all to do?<br \/><em><strong>Matthew 7:7-11<\/strong><\/em> records,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cAsk and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. \u201cWhich of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>Asking and not receiving could be evidence of asking wrongly.\u00a0<br \/>The Bible makes all realize that it is possible to ask and ask wrongly.\u00a0<br \/><em><strong>James 4:3<\/strong><\/em> states,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cYou ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>What are you asking from God?\u00a0<br \/>Turn around and ask to be enabled to seek God more.\u00a0<br \/>Asking is not evidence that God forgets.<br \/>Asking God is communicating with God, giving attention to God.<br \/>Communication is a continuation.<br \/>God is a jealous God who gives attention to being asked for.<br \/>How can one not know that a caring God is mindful of His creation?<br \/>God does not forget His children.<br \/>God is a good God.<br \/>He is God who acts for the one who waits for Him.\u00a0<em><strong>(Isaiah 64:4)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>Those who know how to wait on God have the character of asking God.<br \/>Make asking God a way of life.<br \/>Today, uncommon challenges and evil occurrences ravaging the world demand that we ask for His promises.\u00a0<br \/>The word of God promises,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cI will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will guide you with My eye.\u201d (Psalm 32:8)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>Do you desire His eye to guide you?\u00a0<br \/>It is a blessing to be guided by the eye of God.<br \/>Psalmist buttresses,\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cBlessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, and teach out of your law, that You may give him rest from the days of adversity\u2026\u201d (Psalm 94:12-13)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<br \/>There is a need for all to desire rest from His instruction and teaching.\u00a0<br \/>All should have a place in the promise of God that instructs and teaches for rest to have a place in life.\u00a0<br \/>Turn to God and ask, gain from the instruction and teaching of God, to keep you in the plans of God.<br \/>Grow in faith to ask God; it is a privilege to have a God who listens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer for today:<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>Ask that the hand of God rest on you in all endeavors.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAITH CAPSULE: Why not ask God just as He prompts all to do?
